A Study on the Emotional Labor of Apartment Security Guards (아파트경비원의 감정노동에 관한 연구)

  • 이 연구는 선행연구를 바탕으로 아파트경비원에 대한 감정노동에 대한 경비원들의 경험을 통하여 나타나는 문제점과 이에 대한 효율적인 발전방향을 제시하는데 있다. 심층면담 범주와 결과 크게 3가지로 나누었으며 첫째. 경비원들이 인식하는 감정노동인식은 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 주민들의 욕설 및 인격모독에 따른 스트레스 증가로 인해 의욕저하로 이어져 왔다. 둘째, 열악한 근무환경에 따른 휴게시간이 보장되지 않으며 경비업무 외적인 업무를 더 많이 수행하는걸로 나타났다. 셋째, 입주민들의 경비업무에 대한 이해도가 낮았으며 수평적 관계가 아닌 갑을관계로 인식하는 경향도 나타났으며. 또한 거기에 따른 부당한 업무지시로 인해 높은 노동강도를 보이고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 법 개정을 통하여 인권에 사각지대에 놓인 아파트경비원을 보호할 장치가 마련되어야 할 것으로 판단되며, 입주민들의 경비업무에 대한 이해도를 높이고 나아가 처우개선 및 근무환경개선이 필요하다고 사료된다.

  • When the primary function of private security is to protect lives and property of clients, emergency management should be included in the security service and many countermeasure services should be carried out for that purpose. In theses contexts, private security should develop and maintain a educational program to meet their responsibilities to provide the protection and safety of the clients. Conclusionally, private security industry employers in Korea has not concerned with the importance of training and education by lack of recognition and has been passive about qualified guards. And the authorities supervising and the administrating the guards has not recognized the importance of private security and has neglected the training of the guards. In theses contexts, private security should develop and maintain a educational program of emergency management to meet their responsibilities to provide the protection and safety of the clients.

  • The purpose of this consideration is to present fundamental data for understanding and development the historical approach of Korea Protection by re-examining Royal guarding system through the history in Early Chosun Dynasty. This paper initiated from this critical mind seeking to understand the changing phase of Korea Guarding system, and fundamentally to find the future-oriented ways for the Guarding system. The main materials of history in Early Chosun Dynasty were re-examined, investigated and analyzed and the main references are a code of laws and official as well as private documents such as Kukjo-Oreyeui. Guards system for Royal prince has been found in Byung-jeon of Kyungguk-daejon. he Guards organization has dual system, one was Gumgun which was a private military man and the other was Wuibyung which was a Central military man. On the contrary, central military man were normally protected the royale palaces, but when the King come and go they accompanied and protected the King in safety zone. But just in case they did a job as a member of capital protection military affairs. A question of finance was the reason why there had been dual protection system due to financial matter. If it increased number of man it would pay much money, therefore central military man who has no relevance to national finance were supplied as members of military affairs for the protection of king.

  • Recently the demand for civil bodyguards and security guards shows rapid growth by the social development and improve the quality of life. However the supply and training system have some limitations in spite of the high demand guard-secretary. The main role of secretaries has been to accompany superiors in order to maintain their dignity or trait. But the secretaries are required to play additional roles of safety managers such as a security manager, a protocol manager, an intelligence manager and a protective driver in order to overcome the domestic and the international safety environment and to elevate the quality of service as a competitive work. So, the purpose of this article is to analyse current situation of civil body and security guard training industry and to seek an educational model. For it, the following questions will be examined. First, Do the professional training organizations meet social demand for the body and security guards? Second, What kind of training has to be provide for the body and security guards? and what the qualifications of the trainers? Then, what are the differences in training courses between private organizations and universities? Is there differences in the job placement among the trainers of private organizations and universities? etc.. In summary to meet the social demand common curriculum for the body and security guard will be drawn from the analyses of diverse training organizations with different training courses in contents, training periods, educational value, and social aim.

  • This paper examined closely on the application of the private securities to the measures for countering terrorism. It is related to the fact that the role of human information comes into the picture nowadays. On closer examination of the application of the private securities to the national facilities, transportation, and multi-use facilities, it was found that having consistent commissioned education through the private-public cooperation and enacting legislation for allowing armed guard to board ships, making private security guards to use sniffer dogs, placing private security guards in each subway station is required, and the active publicity campaign of the government concerned needs to take place for directing and setting up the system for supervising managers of the authorities and changing the way they think of countering terrorism.

Development of Freelance System for Private Security Work (민간경비업무 프리랜서제도 발전방안)

  • The private security industry in Korea has developed considerably with the development of economic growth and IT technology. The purpose of this study is to explore the development method of the freelance system for private security work based on the problems of the freelance system that CEO of the security company in the private security work field recognize. To accomplish the purpose of this study, we interviewed 3 professors and 6 CEO of the security company to analyze the data. They suggested the development of the freelance system of private security work as follows. First, the systematic management of freelance security guards is needed. Secondly, the training for the manager of the freelance security guards should be done. Third, a minimum wage compliance check is required. Fourth, the contents of freelance system should be added to the reality in accordance with the security law. Fifth, the social security system of freelance security guards should be improved. Sixth, the establishment of a freelance security guard cooperative is necessary.

  • The purpose of this study aimed to examine relations between conflict management method and organization of private security companies. 286 guards who worked at security compromies in Seoul in 2010 were selected by using the method of judgment sampling and 279 guards were used for analysis. Reliability of questionnaire used for this study was over .642 in value of Cronbach's $\alpha$. Collected data was analyzed by using factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, F-test, multiple regression analysis and SPSSWIN 17.0. The result is as follows. First, conflict management method for security guards is different depending on socio-demographic features. Second, organizational performance of security guards is different depending on socio-demographic features. Third, conflict management method of security guards has effect on organizational performance. The higher the method of managing conflict through integration, compromise, favor and governance, the higher cohesion, organizational immersion and job satisfaction.

Thus this study is to present the leisure motivation of private security guards and some required policy data, through improvement of poor working condition and sports participation.
