In our study, we investigated the effects of position of endorser and endorser's gaze direction(direct/averted_image/averted_text) on advertising attitude, purchase intent and brand recognition using eye-tracking method. Focusing on the printed cosmetic ads which the role of endorser is important and indirect persuade route is relatively is emphasized, we conducted experiment on 36 participants in 20s. As prior studies, our results shows that participants paid attention to more and faster on specific element which the endorser is gazing at. But it was not reflected to ad attitude and purchase intent directly. When the endorser is positioned in left the side, the highest purchase intent was shown in direct gaze condition, while when the endorser is on the right side, the highest ad attitude was shown in gazing image condition. Additionally, the brand recognition task following eye-tracking experiment shows that recognition accuracy was higher only in condition which the endorser is in the left side looking at the product image. These results demonstrated that the gaze direction of endorser plays a role as attentional guidance, which means it can lead customer's attention to particular region in the printed ad, but the effect can be varied depending on the position of endorser and which type of information the endorser is gazing at. Therefore, ultimately, to increase customer's ad attitude and purchase intent, complex consideration of not only the gazing direction of the endorser, but the position of endorser and other diverse elements is necessary.

Kings of many generations in Chosun Dynasty considered the Zhu-Zi's Zizhitongjiangangmu as an important history book. When Sarim appeared to the front of main political arena since Chung jung, it had been common for regional administrator to publish and distribute books with the need for text-type resources. Zizhitongjiangangmu published by Jikji-temple in Kimchun area is a valuable resource that contains the purpose of publishing those books and describes the process of publishing and engraving in detail. The Annals of the Chosun Dynasty and Miamilgi also provides detailed descriptions of the process of how to transfer those woodblock-printed books to the Kyosokwan, which had been engraved by several regions and gathered together into Jikji-temple. Therefore, this research analyzed the contents contained in The Annals of the Chosun Dynasty and Miamilgi and connected them to postscript of Zizhitongjiangangmu published by Jikjitemple in order to identify the characteristics of regional publications in the latter part of the 16th century.

The purpose of this study is to analyze media in the elementary moral textbooks with the information processing model and suggest some ways to boost media literacy within the school library. In this study, the three national moral curriculum for the 4th, 5th and 6th elementary students are assayed. As the results of analysis, the inputs of the elementary moral textbooks are bias toward pictures (visual media) and stories (printed media), its' processing focus on investigation and workbooks using the table and its' outputs are based on the writing, speaking and making (creating). But there are so lack of specific activities to achieve relevant information form the media and the reading strategies of visual media as the elements of inputs. The school library should serve various reading materials considering the develop of reading interest, make workbooks for learning strategies according to the text types and try to secure collaborative teaching time to resolve the bias toward media of inputs, increase information processing activities and improve students' media literacy.

The purpose of this paper is to suggest one of effective online questionnaire methods by using web based games. The research examines the interrelation between space design element and emotion language in the background actually used in the web games, and suggests new questionnaire methods to overcome the problems of the insincere answers which is the limitation of online questionnaire methods. The paper is to examine the related references, and compare the merits and demerits between printed and online text based questionnaires. Then it suggests the on-line questionnaire methods based web games which can improve errors of the demerits. The emotional words and phrases database is embodied by the interrelation between the emotional words and four spaces such as a dwelling, a tradition, a commerce and a fantasy based on the position decision value of Gaussian distribution. The paper suggests to be utilized for a population calculability system such as a consumers preference test.

By using CR image pixel data, We examined the way how to calculate the MTF and digital characteristic curve. It can be changed to the text-file(Excel) from a pixel data which was printed with a digital x-ray equipment. In this place, We described the way how to figure out and correct the sharpness of a digital images of the MTF from FUJITA. Excel program was utilized to calculate from radiography of slit. Digital characteristic curve, Line Spread Function, Discrete Fourier Transform, Fast Fourier Transform digital specification curve, were indicated in regular sequence. A big advantage of this method, It can be understood easily and you can get results without costly program and without full knowledge of computer language. It shows many different values by using different correction methods. Therefore we need to be handy with appropriate correction method and we should try many experiments to get a precise MTF figures.

A literature analysis for the planning and realization of the multimedia meta database and digital library's integrated information system was carried out to establish the various oceanographic resources in the Oceanographic Information Center, the first in Korea. The study targeted from printed matter, network resources, full-text and to VOD. The focus of the analysis lies in the providing practical integrated information retrieval service for oceanographic resources based on the framework of effective MODS metadata with network resources description. The analyses included oceanographic resources, multimedia information processing, MODS metadata descriptive elements, metadata classification, system organization, and retrieval for planning and implementation of the multimedia meta database system.

This study was to investigate utilization status of internet, health/nutrition websites among children, and to assess the needs for developing nutrition websites and education programs for children. The survey questionnaire was administered to 5-6th grade students (n=434) at two elementary schools. About 32% used the internet every day while 19.5% used it whenever they needed, showing significant differences in internet usage by gender (p<0.01). Although the subjects used the internet frequently, those who used health/nutrition websites were 23.3%. The purpose of using these sites were mainly 'to obtain health/nutrition information' (55%), 'to get information regarding weight control' (17%). Fifty-six percent of the users were satisfied with the nutrition websites, but only 30% said that they were helpful. The preferred topics in developing nutrition websites were assessment of obesity, exercise methods, weight control methods, nutrition information (e.g., diet for stature growth), dietary assessment and food hygiene. Girls showed more interest in these topics than boys (p<0.05). For school nutrition education, girls showed more interest than boys in topics for cooking snacks (p<0.001) and selecting snacks (p<0.05). In nutrition websites, subjects wanted to have information and game/quiz, as well as getting information using Flash animation. The favorite colors for screen and text were slightly different by gender (p<0.01). In school nutrition education, 89.5% of subjects liked to have activities (e.g., cooking, exercise, game). They also liked materials using computers, video and internet than printed materials. If nutrition education was done at schools, subjects wanted to receive 5.7 times of education per semester on average (mean length: 42.6 min/session). This study suggests that nutrition websites and education programs for children should include the topics such as assessment of obesity or diet, weight control and special information (e.g., diet for growth) as well as general information. In designing nutrition websites and programs, methods including game, quiz, Flash animation and activities (cooking, exercise) could be appropriately used to induce the interest and involvement of children.

Currently, most web designers guarante high quality using bitmap graphics as fixed font size, but that has defects about file size and flexibility. Especially, to provide high quality of banner and advertise characters, after you should use a bitmap edit program, and then we should follow the method we add that program to HTML documents as bitmap data. In this study, as I show a couple of new tags in front of HTML documents, I show methods which can be presented diverse effects. When text information are stored, because we print out a screen with simple control points and outside information, it can be possible for us to express the same quality of Hangul characters like printed documents in a web browser. Regardless of the second class of platform, we can make it possible the character expression with exact character expressions and diverse effects.

The Taisei Sankei(大成算経 in Japanese) or the Dacheng Suanjing(in Chinese) is a book of mathematics written by Seki Takakazu 関孝和, Takebe Kataakira 建部賢明 and Takebe Katahiro 建部賢弘. The title can be rendered into English as the Great Accomplishment of Mathematics. This book can be considered as one of the main achievements of the Japanese traditional mathematics, wasan, of the early 18th century. The compilation took 28 years, started in 1683 and completed in 1711. The aim of the book was to expose systematically all the mathematics known to them together with their own mathematics. It is a monumental book of wasan of the Edo Period (1603-1868). The book is of 20 volumes with front matter called Introduction and altogether has about 900 sheets. It was written in classical Chinese, which was a formal and academic language in feudal Japan. In this lecture we would like to introduce the wasan as expressed in the Taisei Sankei and three authors of the book. The plan of the paper is as follows: first, the Japanese mathematics in the Edo Period was stemmed from Chinese mathematics, e.g., the Introduction to Mathematics (1299); second, three eminent mathematicians were named as the authors of the Taisei Sankei according to the Biography of the Takebe Family; third, contents of the book showed the variety of mathematics which they considered important; fourth, the book was not printed but several manuscripts have been made and conserved in Japanese libraries; and finally, we show a tentative translation of parts of the text into English to show the organization of the encyclopedic book.

Objectives : The Jap Byoung(雜病) of the Young Chu(靈樞), one of the classical book of oriental medicine contains symptoms and remedies for various diseases that can be seen on human body. But it is too difficult to understand the Jap Byoung(雜病), because it is written in old chinese and there are many printer's error and omissions or adds in this book. As a consequence of above reason, the writer of this article has researched to find out the exact meaning of that. Methods : So in this part we study a woodblock-printed book of successive generation and view of annotators, and add adding notes, adjustment, translation to exact comprehension of the original text. Results & conclusions : The principle ideas of the thesis can be summarized as follows: The Jap Byoung(雜病) is consist of five part. In chapter 1, we present symptoms occurred by the upstream current of Qi(氣逆) and their treatments by taking meridian flowing the body parts on which the symptoms occur. In chapter 2, we deal with symptoms such as ikgun(?乾), a pain of the knee(膝中痛), huby(喉痺), epistaxis(?血), lumbago(腰痛), anger(怒), a pain of the jaw(痛), a pain of the nape(項痛) and their remedies. In chapter 3, since abdominal inflation occurs when the Qi(氣) of the five viscera(五臟) is damaged or go upstream, I discussed that the treatment should be given by taking the meridian accordingly. In chapter 4, we deal with the remedy for heartache, and different meridians to be taken by symptom, and parts on which needle to be used, and detailed remedies. In chapter 5, we present other diseases, detailed body parts to be cured and remedies by referring symptoms for a pain of the jaw(痛), the upstream current of Qi(氣逆), hiccup, etc. Especially, we introduce a part of Doinbup(導引法) for wegurl(?厥) and remedies for hiccup such as inducing sneeze by stimulating nostrils, holding one's breath, etc.
