Based on a survey on 1620 students in primary school and secondary school., by adopting Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ), we got the following findings : 1. There is close relationship between emotionality characteristics of temperament and mathematics academic achievement of the subjects at Grade 5 (Primary 5), Grade 8 (Junior Secondary 2), and Grade 10 (Senior Secondary 2). Also there is close relationship between internal-external directivity characteristics of temperament and mathematics academic achievement at Grade 5 and Grade 8. While there is not close relationship between internal-external directivity characteristics of temperament and mathematics academic achievement at Grade 10; 2. There is close relationship between temperament types and mathematics academic achievement of the subjects from the three grades. Superior temperament, which benefit learning mathematics, are sanguine, sanguine-phlegmatic and phlegmatic; While inferior temperament types, which don't benefit learning mathematics, are choleric, melancholic and choleric-melancholic. With the rising of grade, temperament types of benefiting learning mathematics converts from external directivity emotion balance to balance of internal-external directivity emotion stability. While temperament of no benefiting learning mathematics converts from internal directivity emotion balance to balance of internal-external directivity emotion instability; 3. In mathematics education, students' temperament difference, which affects learning mathematics, should be recognized. Mathematics teachers should find out the best teaching ways, forms and methods which are suitable for student's temperament type, so that the students with different temperament types can gain better mathematics academic achievement.

As promotion of the 3D printer supply policy, need for 3D printer education is emphasized. But it is few that study of 3D printing educational program teachers can utilize at school. Especially study of CAD SW is very urgent because most of the CAD SW for 3D modeling is difficult and expensive. So in this study, we examine the CAD SW for educational purposes and propose educational programs that can be used at primary school. The instructional model is called "MDIAP" which consists of five stages : Motivation, Demonstration, Imitation, Application, Presentation. Instructional process is consisted of performing tasks and projects. We expect to enhance the function of 3D modeling and creative thinking which is essential to the Fourth Industrial Revolution society.
The objective of this study was to investigate factors that could bring about successful implementation of extensive reading using online/offline blended English library system called 'Reading Gate' in primary and secondary schools. Although there are a great number of studies on effects of various extensive reading on linguistic, cognitive, and affective development, few studies have investigated how extensive reading programs can be implemented at large scale, e.g., whole school level. After analyzing students' reading levels in 200 schools using the same online extensive reading program called Reading Gate, results showed that while some schools were successful, others were not. Five primary and 13 middle schools were selected as successful schools. Data on implementation of the program of schools was gathered. Eighteen teachers and seven headteachers took part in the interview. After analyzing these data on the implementation of the extensive reading program, results revealed that the following five factors for successful implementation of blended extensive reading programs: online level-up system, teacher intervention, integration with the curriculum, school-level support, and parents' awareness of literacy. This suggests that each factor might have contributed to the successful implementation of the extensive reading program at large scale. Implications and applications of this finding are discussed in this study.
This study aims at investigating the effects of collective promotion on the attainment of literacy, numeracy, and essential life skills by primary school pupils and also to find out if the policy of collective promotion meets its objective of minimization of wastage in basic education. The study used written tests for pupils in the final class (Level II, class 6) to collect data in some selected English-speaking primary schools in Meme Division of Cameroon. Descriptive statistics and a one way ANOVA were used for analyzing data. The results revealed that the policy of collective promotion negatively affects the attainment of literacy, numeracy, and essential life skills of pupils in Kumba, Meme Division. Teachers who assisted in the study through personal communication with the researcher argued that collective promotion in basic education does not achieve its objective of minimizing wastage of educational resources; neither does it positively improve the literacy, numeracy, and essential life skills of pupils. This study recommends that the policy of collective promotion can be revisited and that focus be placed not only on minimizing wastage of resources but also on investing on quality education system so as to equip the would-be leaders of tomorrow with skills, knowledge, and attitudes which will make them functional and responsible citizens in their society.
The purpose of this study was to survey the trends of waste products in schools, its gathering and disposal, identification of problems and to analyze its disposal. Moreover, this study was aimed at basic suggestions about the establishment and plans of waste environmental education. 98 public primary and secondary schools were surveyed in Seoul during the month of March and April, 1991. Information was collected from each educational association by random sampling. Questionaries were used for this survey. To understand the disposal status of school waste and its reforms, this study surveyed the amount of waste by products, their origin and analyzed the disposal by type, one number of schools and teachers involved. The dump sited and disposal methods of school waste, its problems, and the status of school waste educations were researched, and ideal disposal methods and plans for waste education were suggested. The results were as follows. 1. The School's trash was produced by followings: paper, vinyle plastics, food, woods, metals, ceramics, glass, bottles, and ash from the heating system. The biggest cause of the school's waste as shown by the survey was a lack of environmental awareness(39.8%). The second biggest was the use of a one time use of disposable paper products(27.6%). 2. Waste collection by different grade levels were proven to be important but as you move from elementary to high school, the waste collecting operation decreased, in this connection between the students and waste collection itself it was significant on the other hand the teachers were not working as significant variables. 3. Of the school that collected waste 69.5 percent of the schools separately grouped common waste and recyclable waste. 25 schools(42.4%) received improvement on their environmental awareness of trash collection through this method. 4. From the number of disposal sites in surveyed schools, it was determined that the education of the necessity for separation of waste was performed in vain and accordingly the should require a real education in the future. 5. Regarding the method of disposal of waste the survey indicated that the #1 method of disposal was partial burning and the remains carried to a dump site by others(35,7%). In elementary schools the entire waste was taken by individuals to a dump site (33.3%). In high schools partial burning and then transported by individuals #1 in our survey(50%). 6. Relative to the problem of the treatment to waste, the emission of smoke from the burning was considered to be the #1 priority in our survey (62.3%) the problem of trash collection being delayed was 52.1%(1in our survey). 7. The present situation of environmental education of waste us lacking. Under present circumstances, the practice of public announcements for improvement and waste-paper collection has been going on vigorously but lacking in education as to the preparation of compositions for students the themes of public exhibitions, the organizing of voluntary associations should be part of the education system to reinforce student's awareness of proper waste disposal. 8. The most economical alternative for disposal was recycling usable waste or combustible material through a variety of education we can therefore educate students bring this education to their homes public servants will also be able to benefit in the waste disposal process with proper education. In conclusion we should intensify the systemical organization and the education of our waste disposal for a better environment.
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to find out how well the primary school students are practicing the health promotion behaviors and the factors relating their health promotion behavior. Methods: This study was carried out by using questionnaires with 1,215 students attending at a 6th grade, 16 primary schools which arranged the school health teachers in Kyoungpook, Chilkok Gun from the 21th through 22th of December 2004. Among them, 1,189 were included in final analysis. The collected data was analyzed through frequency, percentage mean and standard deviation, multiple regression. Results: According to the data from multiple regression of analysis which has the health promotion behavior practice as a subordinate variable, in male students' case the degree of health promotion behavior practice becomes high in proportion to their parents' interest in health, to their perceived self efficacy, and in case of the barriers of the health promotion behavior practice. As to the female students, their health behavior practice becomes high in proportion to their parents' interest in health. It also becomes high in proportion to the perceived health status, the understanding of the importance of the health, internal health locus of control in personality, the perceived self efficacy and the perceived benefit of the health promotion behavior. But in case of the barriers of the health promotion behavior, it was the same as the male students' case. Conclusions: As the results of study, it showed that the knowledge to importance of health, the self efficacy, the knowledge of benefit of health promotion behaviors and the health concern to the children of the parents were related to health promotion behaviors of the primary school students. So, through the systematic development of health education program, we induced to desirable direction for the changeable factors of actions to health promotion for the health, and through the connective guidelines between the School and the Home, we have to adapt to effective health promotion program for the health management of the young boys and girls.

The necessity of computer science education has been increased in the society which has been changing rapidly by the development of information science. But most elementary school teachers don't realize its necessity and don't recognize the notion of computational thinking which is the fundamental principle of computer science. In this research, we designed and implemented an algorithm learning program based on computational thinking with using Logo, which was for pre-service elementary school teachers to be able to realize the necessity of computer science education and recognize computational thinking. As the findings analyzed between pre- and post-test, the averages of correlational reasoning, combinatorial reasoning and the sum of overall logical thinking increased significantly. Also, participants' awareness of computer science education and computational thinking changed positively.
The aim of the case study presented in this paper was to explore mathematics curriculum knowledge of a South Korean elementary teacher. An in-depth case study is applied to examine mathematics curriculum knowledge that influences teachers' instructional process including analysis of diverse artifacts such as lesson plan, observation and interviews. Findings of this study suggest that mathematics curriculum knowledge has direct relevance to teaching a lesson, designing a lesson and assessing students' work. In addition, this study identified that mathematics curriculum knowledge may be divided into two sub-categories: vertical mathematics curriculum knowledge and horizontal mathematics curriculum knowledge. The results of this case study help our understanding of South Korean elementary teachers' mathematics curriculum knowledge, which has a deep impact on their teaching practice. Moreover, this cross-national research offers implications for researchers, policymakers, and teachers in U.S. as well as those in South Korea.
The purpose of this study is to support the understandings of teachers about the instructional strategies of collaborative problem solving and mathematical modeling as presented in the 2015 revised mathematics curriculum. For this, tasks of the Cubes unit from six grader's and lesson plans were developed. The specific problem solving processes of students and the practices of teachers which appeared in the classes were analyzed. In the course of solving a series of problems, students have formed a mathematical model of their own, modifying and complementing models in the process of sharing solutions. In particular, it was more effective when teachers explicitly taught students how to share and discuss problem-solving. Based on these results this study is expected to suggest implications on how to foster students' problem solving ability as mathematical subject competency in elementary classrooms.
In this study, I explored the possibility of using ChatGPT math education. For this purpose, students' problem-solving outputs and conversation data between pre-service teachers and a student were selected as an analysis case. A case was analyzed using ChatGPT and compared with the results of mathematics education experts. The results that ChatGPT analyzed students' problem-solving strategies and mathematical thinking skills were similar to those of math education experts. ChatGPT was able to analyze teacher questions with evaluation criteria, and the results were similar to those of math education experts. ChatGPT could also respond with mathematical theory as a source of evaluation criteria. These results demonstrate the potential of ChatGPT to analyze students' thinking and teachers' practice in mathematics education. However, there are limitations in properly applying the evaluation criteria or providing inaccurate information, so the further review of the derived information is required.
