The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of nutrition education on nutrition knowledge, dietary attitudes, and food behavior of college students. The subjects of this study were 350 college students attending a university. The education group students received nutrition education three hours per week during a 4-week period offered in a 'Home Economics' course. A total of 150 students in the education group and 200 students in the non-education group completed pre-test questionaires examining nutrition knowledge, dietary attitudes, and food behaviors. Major findings were as follows : nutrition knowledge, and food behavior of the education group were improved compared to the non-education group. But significant changes were not observed in dietary attitudes in the education group. There were higher correlations between nutrition knowledge and dietary attitudes score, and between dietary attitudes and food behavior score at the posttest than those at the pretest. These results suggest that nutrition education for college students can effectively improve their nutrition knowledge and food behaviors.
This study was conducted to investigate the gender-related effects of two instructional programs on spatial visualization skills of ninth grade students. Two instructional programs were developed for this study: a web-based virtual reality program and a paper-based program. 194 ninth graders from two middle schools in Seoul participated in this study. Six classes were divided into experimental groups and control groups. The Middle Grades Mathematics Projects (MGMP) Spatial Visualization Test was used to measure spatial visualization skills. The data analysis indicated that both the web-based and paper-based programs were effective to improve spatial visualization skills to treatment groups. Although boys'test mean scores were higher than girls' in the pretest, when deleting the effect of covariance of pretest, there were no statistical significance in the post-test. Girls in the treatment groups favored the paper-based spatial visualization program. These results imply that spatial training may benefit girls' performance more than that of boys and mode of instructional programs can create gender-related differences regarding spatial visualization skills.
Purpose: This study was to analysis the effect of self-foot reflexology(SRM) program on, level of hypertension. Method: A nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design was used. For the experimental group, SRM was applied three times a week for 8wks. Test was done by measured x2-test, t-test, repeated measures ANOVA test. Result: There were significant decreases in systolic, diastolic blood pressure and difference of pretest and post test and between the experimental group and control group. Conclusion: Findings indicate that this study will contribute to develop nursing strategies for the regulation of the blood pressure.
The purpose of this study was to develop a nutrition education program for preschoolers, and to measure it's effects. This program consisted of text. pictures (cartoons), games and topics of discussion. This study was an experimental study undertaken by one pretest-posttest design group. The subjects were 17 preschoolers who were aged 5 and attending an educare center in Seoul. These were the effects of this program: The hypothesis of this study was that 'the preschooler's score will be improved after education' was supported (t=5.177, p=.000). Several correlates were examined. There weren't significant differences between pretest and posttest in the importance of balanced nutrition; in the result of under-nutrition; that the black food-group precipitated dental carries and obesity; or the reaction of foods after meals. It is recommended that the nutrition education program not only contain content about the prevent of obesity, but also about the knowledge of various foods and their effects on the human body.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop online health promotion an education program for university students and to evaluate its changes. Method: An online health promotion education program was established through analysis, designing, development, implementation and evaluation stages. This was a quasi-experimental, one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this study were 97 students in one university, and they were provided the online class for 16 weeks. Data was analyzed by descriptive statistics and paired t-test. Result: The results of program evaluation were positive, which included instruction function 3.94, system construction 4.14, system function 3.90, and overall evaluation 4.03 on the scale of 5. The posttest scores of health promoting lifestyle(t=-2.316, p=0.024) was significantly higher than those of the pretest. Conclusion: This study shows that the online health promotion education program was an effective educational method to improve health promotion lifestyle for the university students.

The purposes of this study were to investigate what kinds of idea the children have after formal instruction in school, and to investigate what is the children's conceptual change on electric current after implementation of drill and practice type CAI program about electric circuit. The CAI program was developed by KEDI research project team the author of this article was joined. The subjects were 20 eleven yaers old(elementary fifth year) children sampled from a elementary school in Seoul, Korea. They had already learnt about electric circuits for two years before implementing this CAI program according to the formal science curriculum. The pretest were accomplished before implementing the CAI program, and posttest were accomplished a week after implementation of the CAI program. The results of this study are as follows: Even though they had studied electric circuits, only 5% of the students had scientific ideas before pretest, and even after drill and practice type CAI program only 30% of the students have changed their misconceptions into scientific conceptions.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of the use of calculators in elementary school mathematics education. For this purpose, we established the subject matters of the research as folloows; (1) to develop the lesson plan and the students' activity sheet related to the use of calculators. (2) to analyze the effects of the use of calculators when we applied the materials developed. Four classes of sixth grade students were sampled two elementary schools in D city. Two of them were assigned to the calculator group and the others to traditional group. The experiment was conducted for 10 class times. Two kinds of test instruments were used: pretest and post test. The pretest scores guaranteed that both groups were homogeneous. Post-test was used to identify the effect of use of calculator and the post-test scores were analyzed by t-test. We also used questionnaire to identify the students' change of attitude toward mathematics. The results of this study as fellows: (1) The calculator group got scores significantly higher than the traditional group on the test. (2) The students' attitude in calculator group was changed a little positively.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of microteaching for student health educators. Methods: Subjects included 43 students in the nursing department of "H" university. In order to measure the degree of self-efficacy and speech anxiety at pre-treatment and post-treatment, subjects in the experimental group underwent training in microteaching. Results: No significant difference of variance in self-efficacy and speech anxiety was observed between subjects in the experimental group and those in the control group. However, self-confidence, a sub-domain of self-efficacy, showed a significant increase from pretest to post-test. In addition, speech anxiety measured during the post-test showed improvement, when compared with that of the pretest. Conclusion: Findings of this study provide preliminary evidence that microteaching may result in improved speech behavior.
Having developed a parent education program for guidance of internet-using children, we evaluated the effectiveness of this program. The program consisted of five two-hour sessions. It was test-run with nineteen participants, which included mothers of elementary school children. In the evaluation of the program, we employed so-called 'pretest-posttest control group design' which compares the difference in the parenting sense of competence, parents' sense of role satisfaction, parents' sense of insecurity, and parents' rearing attitudes between the experimental group and the control group. Program evaluation revealed that the parenting sense of competence and role satisfaction increased in the group that participated in the program compared to the non-participating group. Furthermore, the parents' sense of insecurity decreased and democratic rearing attitudes were fostered in the participating group.
Objects : The purpose of this study is to value measuring of sagital, horizontal, frontal aspects of DITI as scale of low back pain. Methods : We investigated 16 patients with low back pain who had visited in the H Korean medicine hospital in Gimpo city, Gyeonggi Province from January 1st to, August 31th, 2016. We evaluated the change of them by using Digital Infrared Thermographic Imaging. Results : There is meaningful differences in values for CV12 in pretest and posttest which were observed by DITI. In the Correlation analysis of values of meridian points in pretest and posttest, there is relation ΔSagital04(ST25/BL52), ΔSagital04(CV4/GV3) with low back pain. Conclusions : These results suggest that ΔSagital04(ST25/BL52), ΔSagital04(CV4/GV3) can be used as value of Low back pain.
