유한요소 구조해석 프로그램의 전후처리 접속장치의 설계 (Data-Exchange Interface Design of Pre-& Post-Processing System for Finite Element Structural Analysis Program)

  • In general, FORTRAN is used for numerical analysis and OPS5 or LISP is used for expert systems, This causes problems at the interface because the various applications require different computing languages or environments. This paper describes the approach used to take AutoCAD as a user-interface for an existing finite element structural analysis package. Some principles concerning database management related to data-exchange interface of pre- and post-processing system for FORTRAN structural analysis program are discussed, and numerical examples demonstrate the power of the combination of these programs.

Web-based Simulation System for Multibody Systems

  • A web-based dynamic simulation system, called O-DYN, for multibody systems is developed. All the interfaces of the system are accessible via web browsers, such as Netscape or Explorer. The system uses a block-diagram type O-DYN/Modeler developed in JAVA Applet as a preprocessor. The O-DYN postprocessor composed of O-DYN/Plotter and O-DYN/Animator is developed in JAVA Applet. The O-DYN/Solver for predicting the dynamic behavior is run on the web server. Anyone who wants to simulate the dynamics of multibody systems or share results data can access the analysis system over the internet regardless of their OS, platform, or location.

  • NREL NWTC Deside codes are analyzed and introduced to develop the system performance simulation program for wind turbine generator systems. In this paper, The AirfoilPrep generating the airfoil data, the IECWind generating hub-height wind data with extreme condition following IEC 61400-1, the TurbSim generating stochastic full-field turbulent wind data, the PreComp calculating structural and dynamic properties of composite blade and the BModes making mode shapes of blade and tower are explained respectively.

Active Noise Cancellation using a Teacher Forced BSS Learning Algorithm

  • In this paper, we propose a new Active Noise Control (ANC) system using a teacher forced Blind Source Separation (BSS) algorithm. The Blind Source Separation based on the Independent Component Analysis (ICA) separates the desired sound signal from the unwanted noise signal. In the proposed system, the BSS algorithm is used as a preprocessor of ANC system. Also, we develop a teacher forced BSS learning algorithm to enhance the performance of BSS. The teacher signal is obtained from the output signal of the ANC system. Computer experimental results show that the proposed ANC system in conjunction with the BSS algorithm effectively cancels only the ship engine noise signal from the linear and convolved mixtures with human voice.

  • In this study, the methodology to develop a data model for steel box girder bridge based on STEP part 104 is presented. The concept of STEP and the schema of part 104 are briefly reviewed, and then the procedure of data model standardization is described. A new data model for steel box girder bridge is developed by incorporating with not only the geometric and topological representation schema of the part 42 but also the representation structure information of the part 43 and the detailed finite element analysis information of the part 104. The prototype of integrated finite element analysis(FEA) system by interfacing STEP physical file is also presented. The applicability of developed data model for FEA is verified by preprocessor system of FEA.

Blind 신호원 분류를 갖는 능동 소음 제거기 (An Active Noise Canceller with Blind Source Separation)

  • 본 연구에서는 신호원에 대한 사전 정보 없이 혼합된 신호로부터 잡음 신호만을 선택적으로 제거할 수 있는 새로운 형태의 능동 소음 제거기(Active noise canceller)를 제안한다. 음성신호와 같은 동특성을 갖는 신호의 분리에 효과적으로 사용되는 동적 재귀 신경망(Dynamic recurrent neural network)을 원하는 신호원에 섞인 잡음신호를 분리하여 선택적으로 제거하기 위한 능동 소음 제거기의 전처리기로 이용한다. 능동 소음 제거기는 분리된 잡음 신호에 대한 역위상 신호를 적응적으로 발생함으로써 특정 위치에서 원하는 신호만을 선택적으로 남길 수 있도록 한다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안된 시스템이 선택적인 소음제거에 효과적임을 보인다.

  • In this paper, we present two types of digital image stabilization (DIS) schemes for mobile video communications. In the first scheme, the DIS system, which is used as a preprocessor of the video encoder, compensates the camera’s undesirable shakes before encoding. This method can reduce the bit rate of encoded video sequence by attenuating the prediction error to be encoded. In the second proposed scheme, the DIS system is coupled with the video decoder. The second scheme uses the K-means clustering algorithm to estimate the camera motion using motion vectors decoded from the received video stream. Simulation results show that the first scheme improves coding efficiency, while the second scheme is computationally efficient since it does not require motion estimation.

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of a System-on-a-Chip (SoC) for pattern recognition to use in embedded applications. The target Soc consists of LEON2 core, AMBA/APB bus-systems and custom-designed accelerators for Gaussian Pyramid construction, lighting compensation and histogram equalization. A new FPGA-based prototyping platform is implemented and used for design and verification of the target SoC. To ensure that the implemented SoC satisfies the required performances, a pattern recognition application is performed.

  • 이 논문은 유한요소해석의 전처리를 위한 3차원 구조물의 가하학적 모델링 방법을 제안하였다. 여기서 제안한 모델링 체계에 의하면 구조물의 모델은 조절점, 곡선, 곡면 및 입체의 계층적 구성에 따라서 단계적으로 형성된다. 혼성함수와 경계표현법을 기본으로하는 여러가지 곡면 및 입체의 모델링 방법을 유한요소망 발생에 적합하도록 체계화하였으며, 모델합성 및 연산방법을 제시하였다. 이를 바탕으로 새로운 유한요소해석 전처리 프로그램을 개발하였다.

  • The fault detection and diagnosis technology may be applied in order to decrease the energy consumption and the maintenance cost of the air-conditioning system. In this study, two different types of faults in the air-conditioning system, such as the condenser fouling and the evaporator fan slowdown, were considered. The neural network algorithm combined with data preprocessor was developed and applied to detect the faults of the real system. Test results show that this method is very effective to detect the faults in the air-conditioning system. Therefore, this developed method can be used for the development of the air-conditioner fault detection system.
