A Study on the Impact of the Service Characteristics of Premium Internet Information Contents on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Loyalty (인터넷 유료 정보콘텐츠 서비스 특성이 고객만족, 고객애호도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 - 콘텐츠 유형에 따른 조절효과 검증 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the service characteristics of premium information contents, one of premium Internet contents, on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty, as the premium Internet contents market has attained a rapid growth owing to the nationwide penetration of the Internet and its ease of use. Earlier studies were analyzed to define the service characteristics of premium Internet information contents, and a research model and hypotheses were formulated to find out the influence of the characteristics on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. After a survey was conducted, the analyzable answer sheets from 359 respondents were analyzed. As a result, four service factors of premium Internet information contents that were reliability, charge, usefulness and convenience were identified as the variables that had a significant impact on customer satisfaction, and the other two factors that were timeliness and diversity exerted no influence on that. And customer satisfaction affected customer loyalty in a significant manner. This study attempted to investigate the influential relationship of the diverse service characteristics of premium Internet information contents on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty to have a good understanding of the attitude and will of consumers who bought the premium information contents, and this study also intended to make a contribution to the improvement of the quality of information contents in an effort to step up the revitalization of the Internet contents market by helping the market attract more loyal customers.

  • As the online food market is becoming major channel and fragmented, online premium food market is also emerging and growing. The purpose of this study is to clarify the experience factors of consumers in online premium food market and define the differences with offline. It is suggested that the online premium food market should be differentiated in terms of providing contents and services by revealing the differences in experience of cognitive, aesthetic and emotional experience with offline premium food market. In addition, the channel that consumers use in the online premium food market has a combination of online and offline experiences, so it is necessary to provide a consistent experience to the consumers. The consumer experience derived from this study is intended to be used as a basic data for providing content and services from the consumer perspective in the service design of online premium food market.

  • The premium outlets have come into the spotlight as the new type of shopping facility different from the typical ones. Along with both the economical consumption trend and high-end brand preference of consumers, the development of outlet shopping center has become an important issue for many retail facility development companies in Korea, This study examines the shopping behavior of potential customers to build up the basic information (preliminary data) for successful development of premium outlet. To achieve this research purpose, this study surveys 1,300 consumers of Seoul and metropolitan area residents, and analyzes survey data by using PASW 18.0. This study shows various shopping behavior of outlet shoppers such as visiting frequency, reason for visiting, shopper group size, time spent in outlet, past shopping experience, luxury-brand shopping experience and so on. This study classifies outlet shoppers into premium outlet shoppers and general outlet shoppers and examines their shopping behavior. This study suggests meaningful insights for outlet shopping center developer.

  • In recent years, the retail industry has been undergoing major shifts. Outlet malls are an important part of the new retail landscape. This paper seeks to increase the understanding of the shopping experiences of visitors to a Premium outlet shopping mall in Shinsagae Chelsea Premium Outlet at Paju City, Gyeongi-do. This paper analyze the Element of the premium outlet across demographics. It explores seven critical factors which significantly influence customers' perceptions of premium outlet. Findings are base on a mall intercept survey with 292 respondents across a range of demographics. The summary of 7 factor is classified as the visual, location, Shopping support, human traces, mood, transit expedience, and tenant. The main implication of these findings is that factory outlet stores are perceived favourably and that they need to build more positive marketing strategies accordingly.

Studies on Physical and Sensory Properties of Premium Vanilla Ice Cream Distributed in Korean Market

  • The object of this study was to investigate the difference in physical and sensory properties of various premium ice creams. The physical properties of the various ice creams were compared by manufacturing brand. The water contents of the samples differed, with BR having the highest value at 60.5%, followed by NT and CS at 57.8% and 56.9%, respectively. The higher the water content, the lower Brix and milk fat contents in all samples. The density of the samples showed almost similar values in all samples (p>0.05). The viscosity of each ice cream had no effect on the water content in any of the brands. Before melting of the ice cream, the total color difference was dependent on the lightness, especially in the vanilla ice cream, owing to the reflection of light on the surface of the ice crystals. The CS product melted the fastest. In the sensory test, CS obtained a significantly higher sweetness intensity score but a lower score for color intensity, probably due to the smaller difference in total color, by which consumers might consider the color of CS as less intense. From this study, the cold chain system for ice cream distribution might be important to decide the physical properties although the concentration of milk fat is key factor in premium ice cream.

  • The America film, Beauty and Beast has grossed over 4,273,401 after being released for 21 days. The growth of movie profit in the video market is also developing rapidly. In this paper, we will focus on the PLF(Premium Large-Format) video technology, because PLF video technology can help audience to enhance the sense of 'immersion' and enjoy a different visual feast. In PLF video technology, IMAX, screen X, 360 degrees circular screen are the most important formats. By comparative analysis of these 3 formats, the biggest difference is their number of screens and appearance. Based on the result we can understand the 3 kinds of PLF platforms better and help us to make a choice between them. In addition, further research about the manufacture method of PLF technology will be discussed.

A Study on the Local Governments' Autonomous Laws Regulating Social Insurance Premium for Medical Security (의료보장을 위한 지방정부의 사회보험료 지원 자치법규에 관한 고찰)

  • Since 2006, local governments in Korea have been providing premiums for social insurance, such as the National Health Insurance System, for the health care of local residents. The purpose of this study is to analyze the content of self-governing legislation that defines these policies. The method of conducting the research was based on the articles of the ordinance related to the 'public health insurance premium' of the self-governing statutes published on the website of the National Law Information Center. As of May 2019, 201 municipalities have enacted ordinances to support public health insurance premiums. In the case of state local governments, 8 out of 17 were found, and in the case of basic local governments, 193 out of 226. The constitution of the ordinance consisted of purpose, time of enactment, type of social insurance premium, object of social insurance premium, amount of social insurance premium support, method and process of social insurance premium support, time of social insurance premium support. This study analyzed contents of these articles. Finally, this study presented issues that could be controversial from the policy and legal viewpoints and suggestions for improvement.

The Information Content of Option Prices: Evidence from S&P 500 Index Options

  • This study addresses the question as to whether the option prices have useful predictive information on the direction of stock markets by investigating a forecasting power of volatility curvatures and skewness premiums implicit in S&P 500 index option prices traded in Chicago Board Options Exchange. We begin by estimating implied volatility functions and risk neutral price densities every minute based on non-parametric method and then calculate volatility curvature and skewness premium using them. The rationale is that high volatility curvature or high skewness premium often leads to strong bullish sentiment among market participants. We found that the rate of return on the signal following trading strategy was significantly higher than that on the intraday buy-and-hold strategy, which indicates that the S&P500 index option prices have a strong forecasting power on the direction of stock index market. Another major finding is that the information contents of S&P 500 index option prices disappear within one minute, and so one minute-delayed signal following trading strategy would not lead to any excess return compared to a simple buy-and-hold strategy.

The Relationship between Perception and Satisfaction for National Health Insurance in Korea (국민건강보험 인식수준과 만족도의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between the health insurance perception level and health insurance satisfaction for national health insurance subscriber. The collected data were analyzed by $X^2$-test, t-test, ANOVA using the SPSS/WIN (ver.14.0). Research results can be summarized as follows. The relationship between the health insurance perception level and health insurance satisfaction was relatively high. The study showed significantly high levels in the score of health insurance satisfactions according to perception of security level, health insurance premium, positive thinking, and fair in premium charge. Also health insurance satisfaction scores were significantly low levels according to perception of raise health insurance premium and burden on households. This study investigated the relationship between the detail perception and satisfaction for national health insurance. Therefore, we are setting the overall direction of national health insurance perception, and look forward to utilizing the basis data as help to improve the system of health insurance for people.

Can Idiosyncratic Volatility Factor be a Risk Factor? (고유변동성 요인에 대한 위험평가)

  • In this study, we examined whether common idiosyncratic volatility(CIV), a risk factor for idiosyncratic volatility, can be evaluated as a pricing factor. The sample is listed on the Korea Exchange. The analysis period is 288 months from July 1992 to June 2016. The main results of this study are as follows. First, in the empirical verification of the market excess returns of the testing portfolios, the difference in the return on the CIV factor sensitivity difference was statistically significant. In other words, we confirmed that there is a risk premium for CIV factors. Second, CAPM, FF3 factor model, and FF5 factor model do not explain the risk premium for CIV factors, whereas factor models that add CIV factors explain the risk premium for CIV factors. In other words, the CIV factor can be evaluated in terms of pricing factors.
