  • Evaluation of user interfaces has to be performed in an intuitive and subjective manner by experts especially when the problem comes to the complexity and consistency of sophisticated interface procedures. The manual analysis and evaluation of logical interfaces also tends to be slow and laborious. To make the evaluation more formal and objective, the criteria and the procedure with which the evaluation can proceed must be explicitly prescribed. Furthermore, to make the formal procedure as practical as subjective expert evaluation, the criteria must reflect the user knowledge of the target tasks since the task knowledge plays the role of a basis for users to understand the interface organizations and procedures. This paper describes ESTIM, a support system for task-based evaluation of user interface, that includes the interface evaluation criteria and implies an evaluation procedure. The support system can be used either in an interactive manner by the analyst during the evaluation or in an automatic evaluation mode. It was verified that the result of automatic evaluation by ESTIM matched the results of expert evaluation fairly well.

  • System usage, the utilization of information technology(IT) by individuals, groups or organizations, is a core variable in IS research. Indeed, there is widespread agreement among researchers that system usage is the primary variable through which IT affects white collar performance because it is a requisite, albeit insufficient, for deriving the benefits of IT. Furthermore, system usage has a notable practical value for managers interested in evaluating the impact of IT. Despite the number of studies of targeted at explaining system usage, there are more areas which required for the verification of system usage. The purpose of this paper is to address, using the Technological Acceptance Model (TAM), the usage pattern of AHP toward the various task in group decision (GD). The result showed that, for the all of the task types, perceived usage (PU) has more effect than perceived ease-of-use(PEU) on the AHP usage. However, more researches are required to generalize the result of this study.

로봇의 조작도 지수에 관한 연구 (A study on the manipulability measures of robot manipulators)

  • Regarding the measure of dexterity of robot manipulators, two geometric tools, manipulability ellipsoids and manipulability polytopes, are examined and compared with each other. Even though the manipulability ellipsoid approach is the most widely used technique, it is shown that the manipulability ellipsoid transforms the inexact joint velocity constraints into task space and so it may fail to give an exact measure of dexterity and optimal direction of motion in task space. After showing that the polytope approach can handle such problems, we propose a practical polytope method which can be applied to 3-dimensional task space in general. The relation between manipulability ellipsoids and manipulability polytopes are also explored for a redundant case and a non-redundant one.

  • Many works have been reported in various fields on the subject of controlling a robot with high-level robot languages. This paper presents one such effort and explains the development of an automatic robot programming system which utilizes the concept of the task level language. This system is expected to act as an intelligent supporting tool in robot programming and be put into practical use. Emphasis is placed on the role of the programming system as a tool that generates the executable robot program according to the user specified tasks. Several task level commands are used in the developed system, and the resulting inflexibility is complemented by the motion level commands of the motion level robot languages. Thus, the advantages of both task and motion level languages are utilized, and no knowledge of specific language grammer is needed even when using motion level commands. To increase the usability of the developed system, various methods are provided for supplementing the programming system using taught data.

  • 본 논문에서는 공유 메모리 다중 프로세서 시스템에서 태스크 중복을 기반으로 하는 휴리스틱 스케줄링 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘에서는 공유 메모리에서 통신할 때 발생되는 충돌을 방지하기 위하여 네트웍 통신 자원을 우선 할당하고, 스케줄링 길이를 단축하고 병렬처리 시간을 줄이기 위한 중복 태스크를 선택할 때 휴리스틱을 사용한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 태스크 그래프를 입력으로 받아 다중 프로세서로 스케줄링하며, 시스템에서 사용 가능한 프로세서의 수에 맞도록 태스크를 스케줄링 할 수 있다. 시뮬레이션에서는 제안된 알고리즘을 실제 응용프로그램의 태스크 그래프에 적용하였으며, 프로세서 수의 변화에 따른 스케줄링 길이를 비교하여 제안된 알고리즘의 성능이 우수함을 보여주었다.

  • In this paper, behaviors performing controls of a mobile robots are designed based on the concept of closed-loop controls. A control architecture, in which the behaviors coordinate concurrently with one others to achieve a task is also proposed. In the control architecture, task manager allocates valid resources and configures the weight of the behavior outputs to achieve the task. For practical implementation, a rate modulation strategy based on RMS(Rate Modulation Strategy) is proposed for efficient resource allocations. The rate modulation strategy is performed with considering control stability. The efficiency of the proposed rate modulation strategy is validated through simulation tests.

  • Task scheduling is an integral part of parallel and distributed computing. Extensive research has been conducted in this area leading to significant theoretical and practical results. Stochastic reward nets (SRN) is an extension of stochastic Petri nets and provides compact modeling facilities for system analysis. In this paper, we address task scheduling model using extended timed marked graph, which is a special case of SRNs. And we analyze this model by giving reward measures in SRN.

태스크 특성 및 사용자 성별이 챗봇의 기대 성별에 미치는 효과에 관한 연구 (Male, Female, or Robot?: Effects of Task Type and User Gender on Expected Gender of Chatbots)

  • We aim to investigate the effects of task type and user gender on the expected gender of chatbots. We conducted an online study of 381 participants who selected the gender (female, male, or neutral) for chabots performing six different tasks. Our results indicate that users expect human- gendered chatbots for all tasks and that the expected gender of a chatbot is significantly different depending on the task type. Users expected chatting, counseling, healthcare and clerical work to be done by female chatbots; professional and customer service work were expected to be done by male chatbots. A tendency for participants to prefer chatbots of the same-gendered as themselves is revealed in several tasks for both male and female users. However, this homophily tendency is stronger for female users. We conclude by suggesting practical guidelines for designing chatbot services that reflect user expectations.

영양교사의 현재와 미래지향적 직무에서 필수 업무와 추가 인력을 통해 수행 가능한 업무의 비교 (Comparison of Required and Additional Man Power's Implemental Task Elements between Present and Future-oriented Duties of School Nutrition Teachers)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the task elements categorized into required and additional man power's implemental between present and future-oriented duties of school nutrition teachers. The survey consisted of five duties, 27 tasks, 93 task elements, and 270 work details in the task elements of school nutrition teachers. A pilot-test was first conducted on nutrition teachers to confirm the survey contents, and then a main survey was performed on 240 school nutrition teachers, using a self-administrated online method, from July 16 to September 5, 2016. To compare present and future-oriented tasks, frequency analyses were conducted. Work details in the task elements were categorized into 'required' and 'additional man power's implemental', depending on school nutrition teachers' responses, based on a 50% cut-off percentage. The results showed that 13 work details among 60 work details (21.7%) in the 'Duty C. Safety and hygiene management of school foodservice', and 15 work details out of 106 work details (14.2%) in 'Duty B. Foodservice management practices' were identified as additional man power's implemental in future oriented duties. As to 'Duty A. Nutrition management', only three work details among 55 work details (5.5%) were identified as additional man power's implemental. On the other hand, all work details in 'Duty D. Nutrition diet education and counseling and 'Duty E. Reinforce professionalism' were identified as "required" as school nutrition teachers' duties. These findings imply that school nutrition teachers perceive nutrition management and education as their primary duties to the fulfill school foodservice' mission of promoting students' health and fostering students' dietary behaviors. The study offers practical and governmental implications, which can encourage school nutrition teachers to perform their primary duties.

  • 본 연구는 창의성 신장을 위한 새로운 수학 교육 평가 방안의 하나로 학교에서 사용될 수 있는 수행평가 방안에 대해 논의한다. 먼저 수행평가의 의미와 필요성을 살펴보고, 수행평가 유형과 채점방법에 대해 논의한 다음 필수·학습 상황에서의 활용방안을 제시한다. 이어서, 초등학교와 중학교에서 활용될 수 있는 수행평가의 종류별 예시 문항과 채점 기준을 소개하며. 각 문항에 대한 성취도 평가 결과를 제시한다. 각 과제에는 내용영역, 평가목표, 평가절차, 준비물, 문항의 특징, 평가상 유의점, 체점 기준표 등을 제시하여 수학교육 현장에서 직접 사용하거나 응용할 수 있도록 한다.
