한의진단 Ontology 구축을 위한 추론과 탐색에 관한 연구 (Study on Inference and Search for Development of Diagnostic Ontology in Oriental Medicine)

  • The goal of this study is to examine on reasoning and search for construction of diagnosis ontology as a knowledge base of diagnosis expert system in oriental medicine. Expert system is a field of artificial intelligence. It is a system to acquire information with diverse reasoning methods after putting expert's knowledge in computer systematically. A typical model of expert system consists of knowledge base and reasoning & explanatory structure offering conclusion with the knowledge. To apply ontology as knowledge base to expert system practically, consideration on reasoning and search should be together. Therefore, this study compared and examined reasoning, search with diagnosis process in oriental medicine. Reasoning is divided into Rule-based reasoning and Case-based reasoning. The former is divided into Forward chaining and Backward chaining. Because of characteristics of diagnosis, sometimes Forward chaining or backward chaining are required. Therefore, there are a lot of cases that Hybrid chaining is effective. Case-based reasoning is a method to settle a problem in the present by comparing with the past cases. Therefore, it is suitable to diagnosis fields with abundant cases. Search is sorted into Breadth-first search, Depth-first search and Best-first search, which have respectively merits and demerits. To construct diagnosis ontology to be applied to practical expert system, reasoning and search to reflect diagnosis process and characteristics should be considered.

RENE LAENNEC'S SYNDROME-BASED CLINICAL REASONING

  • The development of clinical reasoning, which is the basis of medical education, is of great importance in medical universities. One of the founders of modern structural clinical reasoning, based on the knowledge of pathological physiology, is the inventor of the stethoscope Rene Laennec (1781-1826). He described the pioneering experience of clinical reasoning in the pages of his treatise A Treatise on the Diseases of the Chest and on Mediate Auscultation, which is of lasting value, since every rookie physicians in his professional development goes through the path of Laennec. Laennec's practice is of great importance for novice physicians since Laennec's treatise contains a diagnostic analysis of the most common clinical cases. Each such analysis demonstrates the algorithm of clinical reasoning. The purpose of this study was to analyze the approaches of clinical reasoning by René Laennec, which made it possible to identify two basic principles. Laennec's diagnostic reasoning involved two principles: pathogenetic analysis of clinical manifestations and a syndrome-based approach to differential diagnosis. These principles help distinguish between diseases with similar symptoms and physical findings are used to demonstrate the practical application of syndrome-based differential diagnosis. These principles can be easily mastered by understanding the pathogenesis of clinical manifestations. Thanks to the pathogenetic basis, the principles of clinical reasoning of Rene Laennec are universal and applicable to the analysis of any signs of the disease: not only physical but also laboratory and instrumental.

  • In general tile evaluation process of rock slope stability is an ambiguous system which is made up of ideas subjected to practical experience of an expert. This paper aims to propose more effective methods that helps engineers to evaluate the stability of rock slope by using RMR(Rock Mass Rating for the Geomechanics Classification) and Stereo-graphic Projection and Fuzzy Approximate Reasoning Concept. the result of this paper is that a rational evaluation of rock slope stability and countermeasures can be achieved thorough RMR. and Stereo-graphic Projection and Fuzzy Approximate Reasoning Concept.

실천적 추론 가정과 수업이 중학생의 가정교파 인식에 미치는 효과 (The effects of practical reasoning home economics instruction on middle school students' views of home economics)

  • 본 연구는 실천적 추론 가정과 수업이 가정 교과 인식을 변화시키는 데 효과가 있는지 알아보는 데 목적을 두었다. 가정교과에 대한 인식은 Thomas(1986)가 분류한 시대에 따른 여섯 가지의 견해, 즉 전통적 여성역할, 수공훈련, 과학지식의 응용, 가족관리, 가족발달, 어려움에 처해 있는 집단을 도와주는 교육으로서의 견해를 중심으로 살펴보았다. 본 연구는 "실천적 추론 가정과 수업은 중학생의 가정교과에 대한 인식을 변화시키는데 효과가 있는가?"의 연구문제를 다루기 위하여 독립변수는 수업방식(실험집단은 실천적 추론 수업 비교집단은 교과서 위주의 수업), 종속변수는 가정교과에 대한 인식으로 하여 의사실험 연구를 수행하였다. 광주광역시에 소재하는 중학교 2학년 학생 137명을 대상으로 실험집단에서는 '실천적 추론 수업'을, 비교집단에서는 '일반적인 가정과 교과서를 위주로 한 수업'을 각각 10차시씩 진행하였다. 집단의 사전 사후 차이를 알아보기 위해서 실시한 대응표본 t-test 결과 실천적 추론 가정과 수업은 가정과교과에 대한 인식 가운데 수공 훈련을 강조하는 교과라는 인식을 감소시켰고, 어려움에 처해 있는 집단을 도와주는 교과라는 인식을 향상시켰다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해서 실천적 추론 수업은 가정교과를 전근대적 교육으로 생각하는 사회적 인식을 획기적으로 변화시킬 수 있는 좋은 수업이라 사료된다 또한 현재의 제 7차 교육과정을 토대로 개발된 가정 교과서를 중심으로 수업을 한다고 해도 가정교과를 가족관리나 가족발달을 강조하는 교과로 인식시킬 수 있어 앞으로 가정교과에 대한 긍정적인 인식을 기대할 수 있다.

실천적 추론 수업을 적용한 고등학교 기술.가정 '부모됨'영역의 교수.학습 과정안 개발과 효과 (The Application and Effectiveness of a Practical Reasoning Model of Teaching and Learning Curriculum for the 'Parenthood' Unit in High School Technology & Home Economics)

  • 본 연구는 고등학교 1학년 기술 가정 교과의 '결혼과 육아' 단원에서 '부모됨'에 대한 수업 내용을 중심으로 11종 교과서와 관련 자료를 분석하여 추출한 수업 목표를 가지고 실천적 추론 수업 과정으로 재구성하여 교수 학습 과정안을 개발하고 실제교실 수업에 적용하여 실천적 추론 수업 방식의 효과를 평가하는데 목적을 두었다. 개발된 6차시 교수 학습 과정안은 실천적 문제 '부모가 된다는 것이 나에게 의미하는 것이 무엇인가?'로 1, 2차시를, '좋은 부모가 되기 위해 나는 무엇을 준비해야 하는가?'로 3, 4, 5차시를, '바람직한 부모역할을 위해 나는 무엇을 해야 하는가?'로 6차시 교수 학습 과정안을 학교 수업에 적용하였다. 적용 대상은 경기도 이천시 소재의 고등학교 1학년 남녀 합반의 5개 학급, 총 180명을 대상으로 하였다. 부모됨 단원의 하위 요소인 부모됨의 의미와 동기, 부모됨의 준비, 부모됨의 역할로 나누어 대응표본 t-검정을 통해 학습자의 부모됨에 대한 인식의 향상을 가져오는지 그 효과에 대해 결과를 분석하였다. 부모됨 단원을 실천적 추론 수업 방식으로 적용하였을 경우 학습자들의 인식 변화에 긍정적인 결과를 보였다. 또한 실천적 추론 수업 방식은 학습자들의 흥미와 참여, 이해를 높이는 결과를 가져왔다. 본 연구는 가정과교육에 적합한 교수 학습 방법인 실천적 추론 수업을 다양한 학습내용과 학습활동으로 학생들의 흥미와 수업 참여도를 증대시켜 효과적인 수업이 가능하다는 점에서 교육적 의의를 가진다고 할 수 있다.

연속적으로 공변하는 두 양에 대한 추론의 차이가 문제 해결에 미치는 영향 (How does the middle school students' covariational reasoning affect their problem solving?)

  • There are many studies on 'how' students solve mathematical problems, but few of them sufficiently explained 'why' they have to solve the problems in their own different ways. As quantitative reasoning is the basis for algebraic reasoning, to scrutinize a student's way of dealing with quantities in a problem situation is critical for understanding why the student has to solve it in such a way. From our teaching experiments with two ninth-grade students, we found that emergences of a certain level of covariational reasoning were highly consistent across different types of problems within each participating student. They conceived the given problem situations at different levels of covariation and constructed their own quantity-structures. It led them to solve the problems with the resources accessible to their structures only, and never reconciled with the other's solving strategies even after having reflection and discussion on their solutions. It indicates that their own structure of quantities constrained the whole process of problem solving and they could not discard the structures. Based on the results, we argue that teachers, in order to provide practical supports for students' problem solving, need to focus on the students' way of covariational reasoning of problem situations.

또래괴롭힘 상황에서 주변또래의 잠재적 참여유형에 따른 사회인지적 특성 비교 (The Traits of Social Cognition Associated With Latent Participants of Bullying)

  • Objective: The literature on participant roles in bullying lacks empirical evidence to explicate what differentiates latent participation. The purpose of the present study was to examine social cognition in early adolescents (i.e., empathy, prosocial moral reasoning, and perceived group norm) with latent participants of bullying. Methods: The participants included 279 adolescents (129 girls; M age = 13.5 years) in two middle schools. Results: The result showed that empathy, prosocial moral reasoning, and perceived group norm were possible determinants of latent bullying. First, high levels of empathy (especially empathic concern and perspective taking) was associated with latent defenders. Second, helping decision of prosocial moral dilemma and prosocial moral reasoning were associated with complex situational cues. Third, latent reinforcer positively indentified the group norm with regard to bullying. Conclusion: The results are discussed in terms of practical implications for anti-bullying programs and educational practitioners.

  • In this paper, we explored the possibilities of embedding Qualitative Reasoning techniques, the Qualitative Process Theory (QPT), and its implementation in the field of inorganic chemistry. The target field of implementation is Qualitative Chemical Analysis and Laboratory Simulation. By embedding such technique in this education software we aim to combine theory and practice into a single package. The system, are able to generate reasoning and explanation based on chemical theories, helping student in mastering basic chemistry knowledge and practical skill as well. We also review the suitability of embedding QPT techniques into chemistry in general, by comparing some examples from both fields.

  • In recent years, there have been a number of applications of fuzzy logic in fuzzy reasoning system. The main objective of these applications is to approximate a decision making using the fuzzy reasoning system. This paper designs a fuzzy reasoning model for the decision making of registration fee at a private school, implements it applying for linguistic variables and fuzzy rules, and evaluates the practical availability of the model. The system accepts fuzzy rules, the type of membership functions, the domain of fuzzy sets and hedge, and fuzzifies the linguistic variables to generates fuzzy sets. The fuzzy sets generated are combined to constructs a solution fuzzy set. Finally, the system defuzzifies the solution fuzzy set to calculate a scalar value which is used for decision making.

  • The use of holographic standardized patient (HSP) with mixed reality can provide students with the opportunity to enhance clinical reasoning skills. This is still relatively new, so there is a lack of guidelines for educators. Thus, we aimed to develop the instructional model of HSP-based education, for enhancing clinical reasoning skills in undergraduate healthcare education, which could systematically guide educators in designing and implementing HSP-based teaching and learning activities appropriately. Using a design and development research, a theoretically constructed initial mode in this study was iteratively improved and underwent validation through expert review and model usability test. Features of the model were discussed, along with theoretical and practical implications and suggestions for further research.
