The artillery fire accident in Yeonpyeong Island showed that the man-made disaster caused by the domestic political conditions as well as the conventional natural disaster can occur in Korea. Especially, it can be known that the whole community can be abandoned despite of a small scale of practical damage in residential district and the resulting large scale of refugees can be produced in the nation. This study investigated the real condition of temporary housing which has been provided at the Island. Firstly, in the theoretical review based on the literature study, the content on the background of temporary housing, the providing procedure of its concept, the status of supply, etc. has been considered. And it researched the current condition of the entire temporary housing through the questionnaire and interviews targeting the residents in the Island. So it purposed to make use of the results as a plan and design for future temporary housing against disaster.

Recently, many researches on the supply of public rental-housings that utilize modular houses have been conducted for the expanded supply of public rental house and consumer-customized supply. For this reason, a research on recognition and satisfaction of residents who live in modular houses was conducted based on their evaluations on public rental houses utilizing actual modular houses. Consequently planning guidelines that would increase residency satisfaction was drawn. Surveys and interviews of 'The Gongneung Hee-mang Housing' were conducted, and analyses of descriptive statistics, multiple regression analysis and importance-satisfaction analysis were conducted. The post occupancy evaluations inform that to gain extra recognition by promoting advantages of modular houses and engaging in educational activities are needed. Dealing with issues such as external noises and vibrations, proper common facility, interior space plan, taking account of facility plan is also needed. This study would contribute to establish modular house planning, reflecting the residents' practical demands.

This paper aims to describe a case study of parametric interior design based on BIM (Building Information Modeling). As the practical use of BIM-based design grows, its influence expands into the field of interior architecture design. BIM makes possible to check various design plan, reach decision making in an effective way, and change design plan in an efficient method. Therefore, BIM is also promising field in interior architecture design. However, compared to other fields in architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry, there have been less research and projects on BIM in the field of interior architecture. For increasing the feasibility of adapting BIM in interior architecture design, this paper describes a case study-projecting images for designing interior panels using parametric modeling. This process needs elaborate, delicate, and precise steps for harmonious output. For continuous use of building, users look forward to the design which variable and changeable according to user's preference and environment. Therefore, demand for parametric design in the interior design part such as panel pattern design for various decoration is growing. Treated process in this paper deals with an advanced phase which much effective in decreasing time consumption and useless part of process. Finally, this paper suggests the possibility of using BIM in the interior design process and field where BIM can be applied.

In this paper, we propose a practical method for setting up a daily production plan which can operate semiconductor fabrication factories more stably and linearly by determining work in process (WIP) targets and movement targets. We first adjust cycle times of the operations to satisfy the monthly production plan. Second, work in process (WIP) targets are determined to control the production progress of operations: earliness and tardiness. Third, movement targets are determined to reduce cumulated differences between WIP targets and actual WIPs. Finally, the determined movement targets are modified through a simulation model which considers capacities of the equipments and allocations of the WIPs in the fab. The proposed daily production planning method can be easily adapted to the memory semiconductor fabs because the method is very simple and has straightforward logics. Although the proposed method is simple and straightforward, the power of the method is very strong. Results from the shop floor in past few periods showed that the proposed methodology gives a good performance with respect to the productivity, workload balance, and machine utilization. We can expect that the proposed daily production planning method will be used as a useful tool for operating semiconductor fabrication factories more efficiently and effectively.

This study researches the dwelling satisfaction about apartment remodeling by inspecting ten apartments located in Gwang-Ju, Jun-Nam province. The method of study is to use the field study method, which is based on cultural anthropology, and the participant observation method at same time. According to the research, we find those things as they follow. First, the participation of residents and the mutual agreement are necessary in the process of the selecting a company. Furthermore it's hard to solve the problem about an uniform design and an inferior construction. These things are the most serious factor in dissatisfaction of resident environment. Second, the space of storage and veranda should be separated for the proper functions and the space for laundry is necessary. The rooms, except bedroom, and the bathroom in the main living room should be used for practical application because they are not used so often and if we make the veranda as a inner space, we've got to make a gardening plan, too. Through this research we find out that the participation of an expert company and residents for enough communication and mutual agreement and the space plan for the satisfaction of occupants are necessary for the proper apartment remodeling.

Adolf Loos showed important directionality in the thought of modem culture and architecture. The thought about the architecture of Adolf Loos was gathered by "Raumplan". It is the solution of the plan in space. But the concept and method of the "Raumplan" had not been synthesized until near the end of Loos's life. Loos's first reference to the "Raumplan" appears in 1929. I think that "Raumplan" became the solution of the plan in space with a formation process of the thought about the architecture and culture of Adolf Loos. Therefore, the purpose of this paper derived a characteristic of "Raumplan" from the relations between the architectural thought of Adolf Loos and "Raumplan". The processes of the study are as follows. (1)Consideration about the growth background of Adolf Loos and the social situation of Vienna. (2)Analysis about architecture and the cultural critic of Adolf Loos. (3)Analysis of "Raumplan" based on architectural thought of Adolf Loos. As a result, I got the four characteristics of "Raumplan" as follows. (1) Separation and continuation of "Raum". (2) Fragment of "Raum". (3) Overlay and transmission by the axis of multiplex eyes. (4) Structural adjustment of the "Raum" by Hierarchy. Finally, I understood the architecture which Adolf Loos pursued in "Raumplan" had a high function and contained the clear meaning and contents which had practical use and economic value, and it were not a results of the simple logic.

The advent of the multiple media representatives system make the competition in the advertising industry. In this sense, both advertising industry and academic field have interested in construction and application of public infrastructure for broadcasting advertising. More specifically, this work analyzes the value of Kodex in the smart media system. Also, this study explores a basic set of application plan of Kodex as the public infrastructure. As a result, it is necessary to build transaction system infrastructure, ads contents application infrastructure, ads promotion infrastructure, and new profit creation infrastructure in the KOBAnet and KODEX. This study, as a leading research for the application of broadcasting advertising infrastructure, aims to provide some practical implications and suggestions for further research.

The integrated supply chain of business partners for e-Commerce in cyber space is defined as Logistics Chain if the cooperative activities are logistics-related. Logistics Chain could be managed effectively and efficiently by cooperative technologies of logistics chain execution. In this paper, we propose a routing and scheduling algorithm based on the Tabu search by adding geographical information into existing constraint for pick-up and delivery process to minimize service time and cost in logistics chain. And, we also consider an uncertainty processing for the tracing of moving object to control pick-up and delivery vehicles based on GPS/GIS/ITS. Uncertainty processing is required to minimize amount of telecommunication and database on vehicles tracing. Finally, we describe the Logistics Chain Execution (LCE) system to perform plan and control activities for postal logistics chain. To evaluate practical effects of the routing and scheduling system, we perform a pretest for the performance of the tabu search algorithm. And then we compare our result with the result of the pick-up and delivery routing plan generated manually by postmen.

This paper presents the results of a three-dimensional numerical investigation into the effect of new tunnel construction on structural performance of existing tunnel lining. A three-dimensional finite difference model, capable of modelling the tunnel construction process, was adopted to perform a parametric study on the spatial variation of new tunnel location with respect to the existing tunnel with emphasis on the plan crossing angle of the new tunnel with respect to the existing tunnel and the vertical elevation of the new tunnel with respect to the existing one. The results of the analyses were arranged so that the effect of new tunnel construction on the lining member forces and stresses of the existing tunnel can be identified. The results indicate that when a new tunnel underpasses an existing tunnel, the new tunnel construction imposes greater impact on the existing tunnel lining when the two tunnels cross at an acute angle. Also shown are that the critical plan crossing angle of the new tunnel that would impose greater impact on the existing tunnel depends on the relative vertical location of the new tunnel with respect to the existing one, and that the overpassing new tunnel construction scenario is more critical than the underpassing scenario in view of the existing tunnel lining stability. Practical implications of the findings are discussed.

Benchmarking is a process used in a lot of companies and public institutions because it is considered to be a practical tool for management innovation. However, it is hard to find out the development of systematic methods and applied cases for benchmarking on information services environment. This study tried to apply the benchmarking process to information distribution environment. This study examined the basic definition and standard process of benchmarking, and then conducted benchmarking plan to innovate tasks of database construction for information services at KISTI.
