After the Industrialism, long-lasting issues about Post-Industrialism have closely been associated with our daily lives. The keyword of Post-Industrialism could be regarded as Immateriality, which is represented by service, Information and knowledge. In the Post-Industrial society, the major role of Post-Industrial design trend is a mediator to deliver the immateriality to users. Additionally, the maturity of technologies and product life cycle have leaded users to the design trend that is free from the technologies and functions of products. In this context, the most powerful trend of the Post-Industrial design could be "metaphor design" and "poetic dimension". The similarity of these two styles is situated in the romanticism -reflection of symbol and metaphor. However, the appearance of Apple's iMac in 1998, poetic dimension, which uses transparent plastic and colourful, pleasurable 'blobjects' has dominated the post-industrial design trend.

현대사회는 고도로 단원화하고 광범위하게 조직된 사회구조로 되어가고 있다. 후기 산업사회인 현대의 문화적 측면은 포스트모더니즘으로 이러한 경향이 전 학문영역에 보여지고 있다. 따라서 포스트모더니즘은 20세기 후반을 지배하는 일종의 시대정신이 되고 있다. 포스트모더니즘은 모더니즘에 대한 반발로 제2차 세계대전이후 서구 세계에 나타나기 시작한 다양한 예술적, 지적, 사상적 경향을 막연히 지칭하는 표현이다. 포스트모던 사회인 현대는 탈분화와 탈조직화, 사회구조의 이완, 해체 등의 특징을 나타낸다. 포스트모더니즘의 발생배경, 특징 및 철학을 연구함으로 포스트모더니즘의 이론적 배경을 파악하였다. 그러한 포스트모더니즘의 영향이 산업디자인의 영역에서 어떠한 경향을 보이고 있는지 미니멀리즘, 레트로디자인, 키치적디자인, 해체주의디자인, 신소재사용디자인 및 사이버디자인에 관해 연구하였다.

According to a simple survey on the current status of the assembly line design, it was found that trial and error methods on the basis of experiences have been used mainly in domestic manufacturing industries, even though there exist a lot of excellent line balancing studies. It seems that more practical researches should be carried out to develop user-oriented line balancing tools especially for small and medium-sized enterprises. This study presents a design of the line balancing tool which can support the line balancing tasks of nonspecialists. The proposed design tool is composed of three major modules: pre-process, line balancing, and post-process. In particular, pre-process and post-process are newly proposed to increase its ease of use. We applied the proposed design to a test problem and test result showed that our practical method may contribute to enhance the efficiency of production operations management.

산업구조의 변화와 함께 도시공간구조가 재편되는 것은 세계적인 현상이고, 중국은 대표적인 국가 가운데 하나이다. 중국의 수도권이라고 할 수 있는 북경-천진-당산으로 이어지는 경진당(京津唐) 지역은 공장과 공업단지들이 이전하고 남겨진 산업 이전적지들의 재생 프로젝트가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 경진당(京津唐) 지역의 산업 이전적지 재생 사례들을 분석하여 사업의 특징과 목표, 설계 철학과 전략을 정리하고 시사점을 도출하여 향후 유사한 프로젝트를 위한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 연구 방법은 경진당 지역의 산업 이전적지 재생 프로젝트를 현지 답사를 통해 조사, 분석하고 문헌연구를 통해 귀납적으로 결과를 도출하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 경진당 지역의 산업 이전적지 재생프로젝트는 산업 유산 보호, 문화적 창의성, 공동체성 증진 같은 다원화된 목표를 추구하고 있다. 둘째, 대상지의 공간적, 장소적 특성과 산업유산을 존중하는 디자인 전략을 통해 새로운 디자인 내용과 대상지의 고유성이 조화되어 장소적 특징과 경관 효과를 최대화하고 있다. 셋째, 산업 이전적지의 생태적 복원에 초점을 두어 오염된 토양에 적응성 있는 식물과 자생식물을 위주로 식재하고 있다. 넷째, 조경 디자인은 조각이나 그래피티 같은 현대예술과 결합하여 대상지를 풍요롭게 하고 활성화를 촉진한다. 다섯째, 재생된 장소의 활성화 측면에서 도시적 이벤트와 대중 활동 프로그램을 적극 도입하고 있다.

The purpose of this study was to identify a basic meaning of humor from the costume expressing cartoon image, to grasp the status of contemporary costume, and also to supply people with a database related to the sphere of costume design. This was done by analyzing and examining humor of the costume expressing cartoon image in post-industrial society. Consequently, the result of this study was summarized as follows; First, humor by parody of Pop Art is recognized as humorous expression that repulsed the main current culture and post-industrial society phenomenon. Second, humor by quotation tends to appear through cartoon character. Costume which quote cartoon character is against Kidult tastes and the pre-existing authoritative prejudices in post-industrial society. Third, humor by bricolage, making bricolage with silhouette, color, pattern item, is recognized as new creation of humor In other words, it is regarded as enlargement of new esthetic consciousness and humor about instrumented gender in post-industrial society. Lastly, humor by deformation expressed itself in deformation of body image of character and cloth silhouette by cartoon image. Deformation of cloth silhouette by cartoon image, being not conscious pre-existing concept of harmony of human and costume, is recognized as humor which have characteristic of play with introduction of new silhouette. In addition to, the result of this study showed that humor expressed in cartoon image of costume has been limited to the works of few designers because of characteristics of fashion designers who made use of popularity as subjects of the works and internal meanings which were related to the characteristics of post-industrial society.

Battery post clamp는 자동차부품 중 전원 케이블에 결합되어 축전지의 각각의 단자에 고정을 시켜주는 역할을 한다. 본 연구에서는 Battery Post Clamp의 단품을 가지고 재료비 절감과 차량의 무게 감소에 의하여 최적설계를 수행하였다. 설계 변수들로서 최적화함으로서 응력 및 변형량을 구하였으며, 본 연구를 통한 설계에 의해 개선된 모델을 기존 모델과 비교하였다. 이러한 최적화 값들은 배터리 부품 제조 현장에서 유용하게 적용할 수 있다고 사료된다.

Handy paint rollers with simple or no patterns are generally used to transcribe its design to a wall just after painting. However, the types of the patterns are limited to several conventional ones, so that interior planners' or decorators' demands are gradually tending to getting attractive roller designs. In order to obtain abundant kinds of the roller designs, a new advanced 3D machining method should be established for cylindrical models. In this paper, a post-processor that can generate suitable NC data is proposed for multi-axis NC machine tools with a rotary unit. The 3D machining system with the post-processor is also presented for an attractive interior decorating. The machining system allows us to easily transcribe the relief designs from on a flat model to on a cylindrical model. The effectiveness of the proposed 3D machining system using the post-processor is demonstrated through some machining experiments.
