  • The purpose of this study is to examine the longitudinal causal relationships between maternal parenting stress and parenting attitudes. Relevant data from mothers with infants aged from 2 to 4 years of age was gathered from the Panel Study of Korean Children were analyzed by means of Latent Growth Modeling. The findings are as follows, First, levels of parenting stress increased whereas the extent of positive parenting attitudes decreased as children grow older. Second, the initial value of parenting stress was observed to have a negative effect on the initial value of positive parenting attitudes. Third, those mothers who generally have faster speeds of increasing parenting stress tend to have faster speeds of decreases in positive parenting attitudes. What this study clearly revealed is that the positive parenting attitudes of mothers with infants tend to improve when the mothers try to efficiently deal with their parenting stress by either acquiring appropriate parenting knowledge or receiving support from their families and communities.

  • The purpose of this study is twofold: first, to identify the factors affecting the relationships between the organizational context for work innovation(organizational citizenship behaviors, IS innovation resistance, and user IT capability) and the intention of ERP extension usage, and second, to examine the mediating effect of the ERP performance on the relationships between the ERP adaptation and the intention of ERP extension usage. In order to achieve the goals of this study, data were obtained from 304 members of the seven organizations such as manufacturers, distributors and service industries, and were analyzed by using SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 5.0. The study results are as follows. There were positive effects of the organizational citizenship behaviors and the user IT capability on the change management activity. The IS innovation resistance had a negative effects on the change management activity. The change management activity had a positive effect on the ERP adaptation. The ERP adaptation had a positive effect on the ERP performance and the intention of ERP extension usage. The ERP performance had a positive effect on the intention of ERP extension usage. In addition, there was a partial mediating effect of the ERP performance on the relationships between ERP adaptation and intention of ERP extension usage. Based on these findings, the implications and limitations of the study were presented including some directions for future studies.

  • Analysis of the data concerning 525 middle and high school students showed that positive affect correlated positively with cognitive reappraisal strategy and with self-control but correlated negatively with expressive suppression strategy. Negative affect correlated positively with expressive suppression strategy and negatively with self-control. The group of higher positive and higher negative affect was higher than the group of lower positive and lower negative affect in cognitive reappraisal strategy. The group of higher positive and higher negative affect was higher than the group of higher positive and lower negative affect in expressive suppression strategy. The group of higher positive and lower negative affect was higher than the group of higher positive and higher negative affect in self-control.

  • The rapid growth in the popularity of social media sites has meant that social media has become an important communication channel for brands. Brands create brand pages on social media to cultivate positive and strong relationships with consumers. This study seeks to enhance our understanding of how fashion brand pages in social media foster consumer-brand relationships by exploring the factors that affect the development of consumer-brand relationships. Drawing on the parasocial interaction theory, this study proposes parasocial interaction as a key factor of this process. Specifically, this study proposes four antecedents (vividness, interactivity, social presence, and focused attention) of consumers' parasocial interaction with brand pages, which further affects consumer responses in terms of affective engagement and brand loyalty. An online survey was administered with consumers who have followed and visited at least one fashion brand page via a social networking site (SNS). Structural equation modeling revealed that consumers' perceptions of vividness, interactivity, social presence, and focused attention on a fashion brand page positively affected their feelings towards parasocial interaction with the brand page, which in turn led to their affective engagement with the brand page and consequent brand loyalty. These findings suggest that consumers build relationships of varying degrees with brand pages in a similar manner to that with people, which leads to their development of a positive relationship with the brand. This study concludes with discussions and practical implications.

  • There have been many studies concerning the relationships between stock returns and volatilities. Their positive relationship is well known from the theoretical point of view, but not empirically shown. Franch, Schwert and Stambaugh [11] has empirically provided the indirect evidence of the positive relationship betwen expected stock return and expected volatility. However, their study lacks some statistical validity. This study reexamines the relationship using regression diagnostics and GARCH model from an international point of view. The empirical results fall to show the positive relationship between expected stock return and expected volaiility, which contradicts those of France, Schwert and Stambangh [1].

The data in this study used from the 2010 Korea Youth Health Status Survey(N=7,187). To explore these relationships between each variable showed in this study model, structural equation modelling(SEM) was carried out by using IBM SPSS AMOS Ver. 19.0. The main findings of this study are as follows; Firstly, The positive parenting style made a positive effect on self-efficacy, and reduced the stress and depression, eventually affected school adjustment positively. Secondly, the more self-efficacy, and the less stress and depression. And the more self-efficacy, and the more school adjustment. Thirdly, as considering the indirect effect of positive parenting style on school adjustment through the mediating variable as self-efficacy, positive parenting style is more important variable than any other factors. These results implies that positive and intimate parent-children relationships or parenting attitudes on adolescents are necessary highly.

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was a) to examine the effect of positive family relationships on post-traumatic growth in cancer patients, and b) to verify the moderating effect of spiritual sensitivity. Methods: The subjects were cancer patients, both outpatients and inpatients selected from major hospitals specialized in cancer treatment using judgement sampling. A self-administered questionnaire survey was given to cancer patients, and a total of 208 cases were collected but only 201 cases were used in the final analysis due to seven unclear and inadequate questionnaires. We performed descriptive statistics to identify the prevalence for each variable, and the moderating effect was verified through multiple regression analysis. Results: The main results are as follows. First, the average post-traumatic growth of the subjects was 3.01 (0-5 points). Second, the positive family relations of the subjects were 2.58 (0-5 points) and the average of spiritual sensitivity was 2.93 (1-5 points). Third, positive family relationship of cancer patients was positively correlated to post-traumatic growth, and spiritual sensitivity was verified as a moderator to positive family relationship enhancing the post -traumatic growth. Conclusion: These findings imply the importance of post-traumatic growth in cancer patients as a key intervention point to overcome pain and frustration from cancer. We suggest to develop family therapy programs and services aimed at fostering positive family relationships and meeting the needs of spiritual sensitivity for cancer patients and their families. This study also provides ways to promote post-traumatic growth in social welfare facilities in medical institutions and religious foundations.
