대형 광학계 연마 장비에 의한 대구경 반사경의 최적 근사 구면 제조 방법에 관한 연구 (An Optical Surfacing Technique of the Best-fitted Spherical Surface of the Large Optics Mirror with Ultra Precision Polishing Machine)

  • This paper describes a novel method to surface large optics mirror with an extremely high hardness, which could replace the high cost of the repetitive off-line measurement steps and the large ultra-precision grinding machine with ultra-positioning control of 10 nm resolution. A lot of diamond pellet to be attached on the convex aluminum base consists of a grinding tool for the concave large mirror, and the tool was pressured down on the large mirror blank. The tool motion at an interval on the spiral path was controlled with each feed rate as the dwell time in the conventional computer-controlled polishing. The shape to be surfaced was measured directly by a touch probe on the machine without any separation of the mirror blank. Total 40 iterative steps of the surfacing and measurement could demonstrate the form error of RMS $7.8{\mu}m$, surface roughness of Ra $0.2{\mu}m$ for the mirror blank with diameter of 1 m and spherical radius of curvature of 5400 mm.

GIS/GPS based Precision Agriculture Model in India -A Case study

  • In the present day context of changing information needs of the farmers and diversified production systems there is an urgent need to look for the effective extension support system for the small and marginal farmers in the developing countries like India. The rapid developments in the collection and analysis of field data by using the spatial technologies like GPS&GIS were made available for the extension functionaries and clientele for the diversified information needs. This article describes the GIS and GPS based decision support system in precision agriculture for the resource poor farmers. Precision farming techniques are employed to increase yield, reduce production costs, and minimize negative impacts to the environment. The parameters those can affect the crop yields, anomalous factors and variations in management practices can be evaluated through this GPS and GIS based applications. The spatial visualisation capabilities of GIS technology interfaced with a relational database provide an effective method for analysing and displaying the impacts of Extension education and outreach projects for small and marginal farmers in precision agriculture. This approach mainly benefits from the emergence and convergence of several technologies, including the Global Positioning System (GPS), geographic information system (GIS), miniaturised computer components, automatic control, in-field and remote sensing, mobile computing, advanced information processing, and telecommunications. The PPP convergence of person (farmer), project (the operational field) and pixel (the digital images related to the field and the crop grown in the field) will better be addressed by this decision support model. So the convergence and emergence of such information will further pave the way for categorisation and grouping of the production systems for the better extension delivery. In a big country like India where the farmers and holdings are many in number and diversified categorically such grouping is inevitable and also economical. With this premise an attempt has been made to develop a precision farming model suitable for the developing countries like India.

LM 볼가이드의 마찰력 정식화 (Formulation of Friction Forces in LM Ball Guides)

  • LM 볼가이드는 구름접촉을 갖는 이송시스템의 핵심요소로서 공작기계, 반도체 장비, 로봇 등 정밀기계에 널리 사용된다. 그러나 LM 볼가이드에서 발생하는 마찰력은 마찰열을 유발하여 위치 정도를 저하시키고 강성과 예압 변화를 야기한다. 이런 영향을 정확하게 분석하여 정밀 기계설계에 응용하기 위해서는 마찰력 모델의 정식화가 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 구름마찰, 점성마찰, 슬립마찰을 고려한 LM 볼가이드의 정확한 마찰력 모델을 유도한다. 그리고 다양한 조립, 부하 및 속도 조건에서 실험을 수행하여 마찰력 모델의 신뢰성을 검증하고, 마찰력 모델로부터 마찰 성분의 영향력을 분석한다.

초정밀 융합가공을 위한 주축이동식 자동선반의 구조해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Structural Analysis of the Spindle of Swiss Turn Type Lathe for Ultra Precision Convergence Machining)

  • 공작기계의 주축은 황삭 가공에서 부터 정삭가공에 이르는 다양한 작업들이 가능해야 하고, 정속운동 또는 회전 위치결정의 기능을 수행해야 되므로 주축설계에 고려해야 할 변수들이 많다. 주축이동식자동선반은 고정식자동선반에 비해 샤프트가 가늘고 긴 핀 들을 작업할 때 좋은 선반이다. 고정식 자동선반에 비해 외경가공의 밀도가 매우 높다. 주축 이송형 선반은 주로 소형 제품을 정밀가공 할 경우에 사용되므로 가공 정밀도가 높아야 한다. 최대 외경 가공 한계 치수는 Ø32, 내경가공 한계 치수는 Ø6까지 가공이 가능하게 제작되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 주축이동식 자동선반에 사용되는 SCM440 소재의 정 동적특성을 이동식 선반에 적용하여 분석하였다. 주축의 정,동적 특성에 영향을 미치는 인자들을 고려하여 고속화 및 고정밀도를 갖는 최적설계기술이 확보하기 위하여 수치해석을 이용하여 분석하였다.

  • 해상용 Multi Sensor Surveillance System은 다양한 기술의 복합체로서 본 과제에서 개발하고자하는 Gyro Sensor based Servo Motion Control 알고리즘은 선박의 6자유도운동을 분석하여 그에 대응할 수 있는 Motion Control 동요안정화제어장치를 개발하는 것이며, Nano Driving Precision Pan-Tilt/Gimbal System은 초정밀 초고속으로 감시용 디바이스를 적시에 정확한 동작을 수행하게 해주는 필수적인 장비이다. 최종적으로 개발하고자 하는 분야는 해상용 Nano Driving Multi Sensor Surveillance System 중 Nano Driving Precision Pan-Tilt/Gimbal의 최적설계 및 제작, 3-axis Gyro Sensor based Servo Motion Control 알고리즘 개발, 영상추적 Video Tracking Software 및 Hardware의 개발 및 각 세부주관에서 개발한 각각의 장비를 하나의 시스템으로 통합하는 시스템 Integration 및 시험인증으로 하나의 시스템을 완성 하였다.

Tackling range uncertainty in proton therapy: Development and evaluation of a new multi-slit prompt-gamma camera (MSPGC) system

  • In theory, the sharp dose falloff at the distal end of a proton beam allows for high conformal dose to the target. However, conformity has not been fully achieved in practice, primarily due to beam range uncertainty, which is approximately 4% and varies slightly across institutions. To address this issue, we developed a new range verification system prototype: a multi-slit prompt-gamma camera (MSPGC). This system features high prompt-gamma detection sensitivity, an advanced range estimation algorithm, and a precise camera positioning system. We evaluated the range measurement precision of the prototype for single spot beams with varying energies, proton quantities, and positions, as well as for spot-scanning proton beams in a simulated SSPT treatment using a phantom. Our results demonstrated high accuracy (<0.4 mm) in range measurement for the tested beam energies and positions. Measurement precision increased significantly with the number of protons, achieving 1% precision with 5 × 108 protons. For spot-scanning proton beams, the prototype ensured more than 5 × 108 protons per spot with a 7 mm or larger spot aggregation, achieving 1% range measurement precision. Based on these findings, we anticipate that the clinical application of the new prototype will reduce range uncertainty (currently approximately 4%) to 1% or less.

가중 평활화 기법을 이용한 GPS L1 단일 주파수 수신기의 상대 측위 정밀도 향상 (THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE RELATIVE POSITIONING PRECISION FOR GPS L1 SINGLE FREQUENCY RECEIVER USING THE WEIGHTED SMOOTHING TECHNIQUES)

  • GPS 단일 주파수(L1) 수신기의 상대 측위 정밀도 향상을 위해 가중 평활화 기법(weighted smoothing technique)을 적용하고 다양한 기선에 대해 자료 처리를 수행하였다. C/A 코드를 이용한 의사거리의 측정 오차를 최소화하기 위하여 위상 가중 평활화 기법을 활용하였으며, 위상 신호의 끊김 현상으로 인한 결과를 보완하기 위해 위치 평활화 기법을 적용하였다. 대전에 위치한 IGS 기준점을 기점으로 중${\cdot}$장기선(5km, 10km, 30km, 40km, 150km)에 대해 자료 처리를 수행하였으며, 이때 기선에 따라 대기 모델(이온층${\cdot}$대류층)등 추가적인 오차 요인들을 고려하였다. 이 논문은 이러한 가중 평활화 기법을 활용하여 시간이 경과함에 따라 보다 안정적인 결과를 산출할 수 있었음을 제시하고 있으며, 사이클 슬립등 주의 환경에 민감한 오차들은 위치 평활화 기법을 써서 보완할 수 있음을 나타내고 있다. 이러한 결과들을 토대로 가중 평활화 기법을 실시간 응용분야는 물론 후처리 응용분야에도 적용이 가능함을 발견하였고, 이러한 기법들은 반송파 위상 자료를 이용하는 모호 정수 결정기술과 유사한 결과를 산출할 수 있어, 대체 기법으로 활용가능 할 것으로 기대된다.

용접선 추적시스템을 적용한 탄뎀 원주 용접시스템 개발 (Development on Tandem GMA Welding System using Seam Tracking System in Pipe Line)

  • In this study to improve the productivity, advantage Tandem circumferential weld process of seam tracking system was applied for the laser vision sensor. Weld geometry scanning laser vision sensor and PLC control unit are used to scan correct positioning of welding torch when the program is implemented so that it can correctly track the welding line. The welding experiment was conducted to evaluate the performance of laser vision seam tracking sensor in tandem welding process. The seam tracking several experiments was to determine the reliability of the system, welding experiments relatively good quality welding bead was confirmed. Furthermore, the PLC program for seam tracking was used to confirm the validity of the application of tandem welding process according to the benefits of increased productivity, which is expected to contribute to national competitiveness.

Design of a VCM actuator for dual servo system

  • In this study, Dual servo mechanism with VCM(Voice Coil Motor) and PZT is designed for a high precision force and position control. We designed the VCM actuator and dual servo mechanism with leaf spring. VCM actuators, with their high linearity, simple structure, low weight, and high efficiency, are increasingly being used in micro-positioning applications. There are many kinds of VCM with a structure. VCM actuators are divided into two types by moving parts. One is moving magnet type and the other moving coil type. We described the properties of these two types of VCM. Design parameters of VCM are defined through the FEM simulation analysis of magnetic field and dynamic model of dual servo mechanism. These researches help to for decreasing loss in the air gap of VCM. We present dual servo mechanism is effective mechanism for a force control in hi h precision, properties of designed VCM.

초정밀 데스크탑 마이크로 NC 선반 개발 및 성능평가 (Development and Evaluation of Ultra-precision Desktop NC Turning Machine)

  • This study introduces a recently designed desktop-sized NC turning system and its components. This machine is designed for the ultra-precise turning of parts with a diameter of 0.5-20 mm with minimum space usage for the machine. This study aims to achieve submicron-level accuracy of movements and good rigidity of the machine for precision machining using the desktop-sized machine. The components such as the main machine structure, air bearing servo spindle, and XZ stage with needle roller guides are designed, and the designed machine is built with a PC-based CNC controller. Its static and dynamic stiffness performances and positioning resolutions are tested. Through machining tests with single-crystal diamond tools, a form error less than $0.8{\mu}m$ and surface roughness (Ra) of $0.03{\mu}m$ for workpieces are obtained.
