랜덤하프변환과 코너추출을 이용한 경사면의 장애물 위치 탐색 (Obstacle Position Detection on an Inclined Plane Using Randomized Hough Transform and Corner Detection)

  • This paper suggests a judgement method for an inclined plane before entrance of it and the detection of obstacle position. Main idea is started from the assumption that obstacle is always on the bottom plane, and corner appears at this position. The process to detect the obstacle consists of three steps. First the 3D data using stereo matching is acquired to detect an obstacle. Second a bottom plane is extracted by using limit condition. Last the obstacle position is found by using Harris corner detection. Obstacle position detection on an inclined plane was verified by outdoor and indoor experiment. In error analysis, it is confirmed that an average error of obstacle detection in outdoor was larger than the error in indoor but the error are within about 0.030 m. This method will be applied to unmanned vehicles to navigate under various environment.

  • This research proposes a indoor magnetic map matching algorithm that improves the position accuracy by employing multiple magnetic sensors and probabilistic candidate weighting function. Since the magnetic field is easily distorted by the surrounding environment, the distorted magnetic field can be used for position mapping, and multiple sensor configuration is useful to improve mapping accuracy. Nevertheless, the position error is likely to increase because the external magnetic disturbances have repeated pattern in indoor environment and several points have similar magnetic field distortion characteristics. Those errors cause large position error, which reduces the accuracy of the position detection. In order to solve this problem, we propose a method to reduce the error using multiple sensors and likelihood boundaries that uses human walking characteristics. Also, to reduce the maximum position error, we propose an algorithm that weights according to their importance. We performed indoor walking tests to evaluate the performance of the algorithm and analyzed the position detection error rate and maximum distance error. From the results we can confirm that the accuracy of position detection is greatly improved.

  • This paper describes an application step of a $R^{-{\theta}}$ method which measures circular movements in machining centers. The detection of composite errors of circular movements and a high precision cutting method in machining centers were investigated by the analysis of data measured by $R^{\theta }$method which can detect the rotating angle and is applicable to variable measuring radius. When the error by squareness error and unbalance of position-loop-gain were mixed, the detection method of each error was proposed. Although the errors by squarenss error and backlash compensation were mixed, the errors by squareness error be detected. If the errors by unbalance of position-loop-gain and backlash compensation were mixed, the errors by unbalance of position-loop-gain could not detected. A high precision cutting mehod, which uses the NC program compensated by using feed-back data from error measured by the $R^{\theta }$method, was proposed.

  • This paper presents a simplified analysis on the rotor position detection error in sensorless interior permanent magnet brushless DC motor (BLDCM) drives, wherein terminal voltage sensing based on the back-electromotive force (back-EMF) zero-crossing point detecting circuitry is employed. The effect of a rotor saliency on the back-EMF's zero-crossing point detection is analyzed using the extended EMF-based voltage equation of the interior permanent BLDCM in a stationary reference frame, and thus the overall analysis is considerably simplified compared to the conventional one. Simulation results are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • Gaze detection is to locate the position on a monitor screen where a user is looking at. We implement it by a computer vision system setting a camera above a monitor, and a user move (rotates and or translates) her face to gaze at a different position on the monitor. Up to now, we have tried several different approaches and among them the Two Neural Network approach shows the best result which is described in this paper (1.7 inch error for test data including facial rotation. 3.1 inch error for test data including facial rotation and translation).

  • In this paper, we developed a position correction system of industrial robot for door-chassis assembly task. With the aid of a dedicated vision system, industrial robot accomplished visually acceptable door-chassis's assembly task. The alogorithm of the position detection of notch and 2 dimesional position correction algorithm are noteworthy. The obtained algorithms were satisfatorily implemented for a real door-chassis model.

  • Through the low orbit GPS satellite for a 3-dimensional real time position detechtion can be achieved anywhere. Utilizing the GPS sate llite detection values an analysis of the varing characteristics of the ionosphere can be achieved, and by calculating the correlation relationship of the position detection error and the ionospheric time delay characteristics, an advanced algorithm technique can be developed. Computer simulation of the developed algorithm for defining the corelation between the position detection error and the varing ionospheric time delay charcteristics has been proceeded. The results of simulation reveal the fact that the varing characteristics of the ionosphere nearly match the actual ionospheric time delay characteristics.

Optimal Angle Error Reduction of Magnetic Position Sensor by 3D Finite Element Method

  • This paper deals with an optimal angle error reduction method of magnetic position sensor using hall effect elements. The angle detection simulation for the magnetic position sensor is performed by 3 dimensional finite element method and Taguchi method, one of the design of experiments. The magnetic position sensor is required to generate ideal sine and cosine waveforms from its hall effect elements according to rotation angle for precise angle information. However, the output signals are easy to include harmonics due to uneven magnetic field distribution from permanent magnet in the air-gap in the vicinity of hall effect elements. For the Taguchi method, three design parameters related to position of hall effect elements and shape of back yoke are selected. The characteristics of optimal magnetic position sensor are compared with those of original one in terms of simulation as well as experiment. Finally, the performances of the motor adopting original model and optimal model are represented for the purpose of verification of motor performance due to signals from magnetic position sensor.

  • 본 연구에서는 세포의 자가 치료 기능을 모사하여 복잡한 디지털 회로를 기능별 분리시킨 구조에서 회로 동작 중 발생하는 오류 위치를 빠르게 찾고 복구 시키는 알고리즘 방법을 제안한다. 디지털 회로를 각 기능별로 9가지로 분리시켜 오류 난 디지털 회로의 기능블록 위치를 빠르게 검출할 수 있게 하며 복구 시키는 방법을 제안한다. 복잡한 구조의 디지털 회로에서도 각 디지털 회로의 기능 별 위치에 대한 번호 및 좌표를 $3{\times}3$ 행렬 구조로 확대시켜 오류 위치에 대아여 검출 및 복구가 가능한 알고리즘이다.

  • Accurate and reliable tracking system is essential for the central train control system. There are two systems widely being used. one is the fixed block system which utilizes the track circuit for the detection of train position. the other is the moving block system which has the advantage over the former since it enables shorter radio signal for the train position detection. In this paper a new algorithm is proposed which uses signal's phase difference of arrival to detect the train position. Experimental verification of the algorithm is presented in the paper.
