본 연구의 목적은 빈곤지역에서 살아가는 아동의 거주 체험을 아동의 관점에서 탐구하고 이해하는 것이다. 이를 위해 빈곤한 지역에서 살고 있는 아동을 참여자로 그들의 거주체험의 의미와 구조를 탐색하는 질적연구를 수행하였다. 연구참여자는 월드비전의 전국 24개 사회복지기관으로부터 모집된 초등학교 고학년 아동으로써, 각각의 기관에서 초점집단인터뷰를 진행하였다. 연구 결과 빈곤지역 아동은 취약한 사회적 인프라 속에서 신체적 및 정서적 안전에 위협을 받고 있었으며 더러운 동네와 술, 폭력 등의 문제를 가진 어른들로부터 부정적인 자기정체성을 내면화하고 있었다. 그럼에도 여전히 남아 있는 이웃의 정과 관계성, 권리 실현을 위한 주체적 활동은 아동과 지역사회의 변화가능성을 보여주었다. 빈곤지역 아동의 거주체험 구조는 "'연결하기'와 '구분짓기' 사이에서 갈등함", "도사린 위험 속에 방치됨", "캄캄한 동굴에서 살아가기를 배움", "이웃으로부터 마중물을 받음" 으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 아동의 권리 실현 차원에서 안전 확보와 주체적 성장을 위한 정책적 실천적 함의를 제시하였다.

This paper verified the characteristics of electrical continuity and mechanical strength of steelwork required to use it as a down-conductor in lightning protection system. It was proven that the steelwork in reinforced concrete apartment has an excellent electrical continuity with low resistance(less than 0.2[${\Omega}$].). But it was confirmed that a poor connection between two reinforcement bars can easily cause serious damages of the concrete even with the impulsive current of 50[kA], 10/350[${\mu}s$]. These results of experiments mean that the additional measures are necessary in using the steelwork as the down-conductor of the lightning protection system.

The rebuilding method for old apartment housing blocks has merits of providing new buildings and larger private living spaces. However, it causes many serious urban problems, such as shortage of infrastructure capacity, traffic congestion, reduction of building life, and deterioration of open space quality. Nowadays, remodeling is accepted as a way of overcoming such negative effects of the rebuilding method. This study focuses on the various techniques of remodeling. The results of this research are as follows; First, old apartment blocks provide poor level of service in general, so they have problems of bad accessibility, deterioration of facilities, and degraded landscape. In many cases, there is a hindrance from walking freely and security problem due to illegal privatization of public spaces. Second, various remodeling techniques are required to meet residents' different needs. The residents of apartment housing value private space above public space, and show low level of willingness to pay cost for remodeling. Third, based on these findings, some remodeling techniques are suggested - integration of a space to another, expansion of spaces, connection of spaces, reuses of roofs and walls, relocation and renovation of paths between buildings, and so on.

This plan is for a different type of welfare facilities devised by analyzing problems with existing welfare centers and focusing on connection with residents and link between culture and welfare and among generations. In terms of re-development plan of Youngsun-2-dong, Youngdo-gu, Busan and the neighborhood under this plan, Youngsun-dong, Youngdo-gu is one of the densely populated districts of the aged, with lower growth rate and poor housing and welfare facilities. However, the district has a blessed natural environment and historical site of cultural relics of the Neolithic Age as well as growth potential as a logistics center with broader network of roads linking with Bukhang Bridge when Namhang Bridge construction is complete, showing the aspiration for change toward hi-tech maritime city in the 21st century of Youngdo-gu. This plan is expected to promote unity between the old and children, protection from social marginalization, and re-socialization education and set the stage for participation and solidarity of residents in the community.

Using SOHO particle and EUV detection and radio spectrograms from both ground-based and spaceborne instruments, we have studied the first phase of major solar energetic particle (SEP) events associated with wide and fast coronal mass ejections (CMEs) centered at different solar longitudes. Observations support the idea that acceleration of SEPs starts in the helium-rich plasma of the eruption's core well behind the CME leading edge, in association with coronal shocks and magnetic reconnection caused by the CME liftoff; and those "coronal" components dominate during the first ~1.5 hour of the SEP event, not yet being hidden by the CME-bow shock in solar wind. At magnetic connection to the eruption's periphery, onset of SEP emission is delayed for a time of the lateral expansion that is visualized by global coronal (EIT) wave. The first, "coronal" phase of SEP acceleration is followed by a second phase associated with CME-driven shock wave in solar wind, which accelerates high-energy ions from a helium-poor particle population until the interplanetary shock slows down to below 1000 km/s. Based on these and other SOHO observations, we discuss what findings can be expected from STEREO in the SOHO era perspective.

In recent years, behavioral disorders of young people and juvenile delinquency tend to increase remarkably in number, and closed up highly as a social and educational problems in Korea. It goes without saying that parents generally play important roles in children's development of personality, and the home is mostly responsible for juvenile delinquency. Therefore, first this paper describes a relation between broken family and juvenile delinquents. Burt, Shideler, Neumayer, and Glueck maintain that broken family is a cause of delinquency, on the other hand, Healy and Sutherland assume a critical attitude toward their contentions. Second, Breckinridge, Merril, and Glueck maintain that poor family is as cause of delinquency, while Sullenger, Neumayer, and Dirksen make a considerable point which poverty has no direct connection with delinquency. Third, abnormal family relationships namely, discord family, abnormal parent-child relationship, and immoral family exert a bad influence upon formation of personality, esepecialy during the period of preschool childhood. These results give some empirical support to the theory that children's conduct disorders and juvenile delinquency are caused by defective family relationships. It is necessary that a community has a supporting structure of children's wholesome development and the prevention of juvenile delinquency.

The author attempted the taxonomical studies on yeasts in Takju mash. The samples used for the isolation of yeasts were collected from Takju breweries in Seoul. The yeasts obtained from Takju were identified as follows using the methods of Lodder et al. ; Saccaromyces cerevisiae group II, Saccharmyces cerevisiae group III, other group of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Hansenula anomala and Pichia polymorpha. Saccharomyces cerevisiae II & III and other group Saccharomyces cerevisiae which were considered as wild yeasts have shown their major role in the fermentation process of Takju brewing. It seems that Hansenula anomala has much connection with the flavour of Takju. Other strains which are poor in their acoholic fermentation and lower in activity of acid production are not considered to be important in Takju brewing.

본 논문은 나사조임 단자대 내에 접속되는 전선의 접촉불량에 따른 발열특성을 분석하고자 단자대 접속개소의 조임토크를 KS C 2625에서 규정한 정상조임토크와 인위적인 불량조임토크를 변수로 설정하여 조임토크의 크기별로 동일한 부하를 인가한 후, 열화상카메라를 이용하여 접속불량에 따른 발열특성을 비교 분석하였다.

Mobile handhold devices such as PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) and Cellular Phone are more and more popular for personal web surfing. But today, most mobile handheld devices have relatively poor web browsing capability because of the small bandwidth of wireless connection, the small speed of CPU, the small capacity of RAM and Flash ROM, the small display size of LCD and the short lifecycle of battery. Users have to endure bigger communication latency than Desk PC's one because of these factors. In this paper, we propose an effective pre-refresh mechanism for handheld device's embedded web browser so as to make user's web surfing faster. The experiment was done using the simulator designed by ourselves and the experiment result demonstrates the proposed mechanism has a good performance to make web surfing faster.

A new switching mode has been proposed to obtain high power factor and low THD in single stage AC-DC converter. The conventional voltage mode control in critical conduction mode distorts input current shape with poor THD in flyback topology. Once TRIAC dimmer is connected, visible flicker in the LED lamp is easily detected due to a lack of TRAIC holding current near the input voltage zero cross. The newly proposed method can shape the input current by providing a desired reference voltage so that low THD is obtained by ideal sinusoidal input current in case of no dimmer connection and flat input current performs good TRIAC dimmer compatibility in phase-cut dimming condition. To confirm the validity of the proposed method, theoretical analysis and experimental result from 8W dimmable LED lighting system are presented.
