  • Poly(4, 4'-diphenyl ether pyromellitamic acid) was prepared from pyromellitic anhydride with 4, 4'-diamino diphenyl ether by means of low-temperature solution polymeriztion. The reation was exothermic and very fast when carried out at room temperature. The synthesized poly(4, 4'-diphenyl ether pyromellitamic acid) was converted to poly(4, 4'-diphenyl ether pyromellitimide) by thermal dehydrocyclization. FTIR analysis was widely used as a means of determining the course of imidization from intensity of characteristic bands of the imide ring at $1790cm^{-1}$ and $1490cm^{-1}$. The density of poly(4, 4'-diphenyl ether pyromellitimide) was higher than poly(4, 4'-diphenyl ether pyromellitamic acid) indicating the greater crystallinity, perhaps because of the reduction of molar volume of polymers

  • In this paper, we define a q-analogue of the poly-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials which is generalization of the poly Bernoulli numbers and polynomials including q-polylogarithm function. We also give the relations between generalized poly-Bernoulli polynomials. We derive some relations that are connected with the Stirling numbers of second kind. By using special functions, we investigate some symmetric identities involving q-poly-Bernoulli polynomials.

  • 유기염화실란을 출발물질로 사용하고 초음파 반응 방법을 이용하여 알칼리 금속과 반응시켜 탈염소축합반응으로 폴리(디알킬)실란과 폴리(모노알킬)실란 등의 폴리알킬실란들을 합성하고 이들의 열적성질을 TGA로 조사하여 각각 10-20%와 40-60%의 잔류물 수득률을 얻었고 상업용 SiC 분말과 함께 펠렛 디스크를 성형하여 열분해 과정과 SEM, XRD 등으로 세라믹 복합체 응용 가능성을 조사하였다.

Effect of Poly(butyl acrylate)-Poly(methyl methacrylate) Rubber Particle Texture on the Toughening Behavior of Poly(methyl methacrylate)

  • Monodisperse composite latex particles with size of ca. 300 nm, which consist ofn-butyl acrylate as a soft phase and methyl methacrylate as a hard phase with different morphology, were synthesized by seeded multi-stage emulsion polymerization. Three types of composite latex particles including random-, core/shell-, and gradient-type particles were obtained by using different monomer feeding methods during semi-batch emulsion polymerization. Effect of poly(butyl acrylate)-poly(methyl methacrylate) rubber particle morphology on the mechanical and rheological properties of rubber toughened poly(methyl methacrylate) was investigated. Among three different rubber particles, the gradient-type rubber particle showed better toughening effect than others. No significant variation of rheological property of poly(methyl methacrylate)/rubber blends was observed for the different rubber particle morphology.

생합성 플라스틱 Poly-$\beta$-Hydroxybutyrate의 생분해와 토양온도의 관계 (Relationship between Biodegradation of Biosynthetic Plastics, Poly-$\beta$-Hydroxybutyrate, and Soil Temperature)

  • The microbial degradation of $poly-{\beta}-hydroxybutyrate$ (PHB) films was studied in soil microco는 incubated at a constant temperature of 2, 10, 20, 30 and $40^{\circ}C$ for up to 49 days. The degradation rate measured through loss of weight was enhanced by incubation at a higher temperature. At the soil temperature $40^{\circ}C$, $poly-{\beta}-hydroxybutyrate$ was rapidly degraded at a decay rate of 3.5% weight loss per day. The degradation of $poly-{\beta}-hydroxybutyrate$ did not affected significantly the chemical properties of soils such as pH and electric conductivity. However, microbial activity of soil in terms of dehydrogenase activity was increased by the degradation of $poly-{\beta}-hydroxybutyrate$.

  • In this paper, we define a q-analogue of the poly-Euler numbers and polynomials which is generalization of the poly Euler numbers and polynomials including q-analogue of polylogarithm function. We also give the relations between generalized poly-Euler polynomials. Furthermore, we introduce zeta fuctions of Arakawa-Kaneko type and talk their properties and the relation with q-analogue of poly-Euler polynomials.

ULG 및 ELA Poly-Si TFTs의 게이트-바이어스 스트레스에 따른 비교 연구

  • 현재 디스플레이에서 가장 널리 이용되는 ELA poly-Si TFT의 표면 거칠기 등으로 인한 대면적 문제를 해결하고자 연구 중인 MIC 방식의 ULG poly-Si TFT를 이용한 게이트-바이어스 스트레스에 따른 전기적 특성을 비교하고자 한다. Positive gate bias의 경우 20V의 게이트 전압과 -0.1V의 드레인 전압에서 10,000초 동안 비교 측정하였으며, 이때 ${\Delta}VTH$는 ELA poly-Si TFT가 143.6 mV, ULG poly-Si TFT가 28.8 mV였다. 또한 negative gate bias의 경우 -20 V의 게이트 전압과 -0.1 V의 드레인 전압에서 10,000초 동안 비교 측정하였으며, 이때 ${\Delta}VTH$는 ELA poly-Si TFT가 154.4 mV, ULG poly-Si TFT가 70.8 mV였다. 이는 게이트 절연막과 채널층 사이의 계면에서 높은 표면 거칠기로 인한 전계의 차이에 의해 더 많은 전하의 트랩에 기인한 것이다.

순 아르콘 캐리어 가스와 APCVD로 성장된 다결정 3C-SiC 박막의 기계적 특성 (Mechanical characteristics of polycrystalline 3C-SiC thin films using Ar carrier gas by APCVD)

  • This paper describes the mechanical characteristics of poly 3C-SiC thin films grown on Si wafers with thermal oxide. In this work, the poly 3C-SiC thin film was deposited by APCVD method using only Ar carrier gas and single precursor HMDS at $1100^{\circ}C$. The elastic modulus and hardness of poly 3C-SiC thin films were measured using nanoindentation. Also, the roughness of surface was investigated by AFM. The resulting values of elastic modulus E, hardness H and the roughness of the poly 3C-SiC film are 305 GPa, 26 GPa and 49.35 nm respectively. The mechanical properties of the grown poly 3C-SiC film are better than bulk Si wafers. Therefore, the poly 3C-SiC thin film is suitable for abrasion, high frequency and MEMS applications.

  • In this study, we have studied the optioal properties and $I_2$ doping effect of Poly(3-Akkylthiophene) solution. The end of speotrum absorbance on the solutions of Poly(3 - Octylthiophene), Poly (3-Dodecylthiophene) and Poly(3-Dooooylthiophene) was dependent on temperature. It is bellved that conrod-coil transition dependent on temperature was rod-coil transition. And absortance peak of Poly (3-Dodecylthiophene) in dichloromethane solution increased with increasing the $I_2$ dopant.

Thermal Analysis of Poly(Sodium 4-Styrenesulfonate) Intercalated Graphite Oxide Composites

  • The thermal stability of poly(sodium 4-styrenesulfonate) intercalated graphite oxide has been investigated using a differential scanning calorimeter. The poly(sodium 4-styrenesulfonate) intercalated graphite oxide composite shows a prominent exothermic reaction near $207^{\circ}C$ and an endothermic reaction near $453^{\circ}C$. Graphite oxide is responsible for the exothermic reaction while the endothermic reaction is caused by the poly(sodium 4-styrenesulfonate) used in the synthesis of poly(sodium 4-styrenesulfonate) intercalated graphite oxide. The onset temperature of the exothermic reaction of poly(sodium 4-styrenesulfonate) intercalated graphite oxide decreased by $92^{\circ}C$ in comparison with that of graphite oxide, indicating the addition of poly(sodium 4-styrenesulfonate) in the composite has diminished the thermal stability of graphite oxide.
