The paper involves the study on the elastic and elasto-plastic stress wave propagation in the 1-D and 2-D solid media. The Smooth Particle Hydrodynamics equations governing the elastic and elasto-plastic large deformation dynamic response of solid structures are presented. The proposed additional stress points are introduced in the formulation to mitigate the tensile instability inherent in the SPH approach. Both incremental rate approach and leap-frog algorithm for time integration are introduced and the new solution algorithm is developed and implemented. Two examples on stress wave propagation in aluminium bar and 2-D elasto-plastic steel plate are included. Results from the proposed SPH approach are compared with available analytical values and finite element solutions. The comparison illustrates that the stress wave propagation problems can be effectively solved by the proposed SPH method. The study shows that the SPH simulation is a reliable and robust tool and can be used with confidence to treat transient dynamics such as linear and non-linear transient stress wave propagation problems.
In this study, two fracture toughness test procedures are modelled for selected metal and rock on LS-DYNA, which is a commercial finite element code. The tests are conducted by using the 3-point bend test procedure for rectangular bar specimen. Because it takes a relatively long time to conduct the test, the implicit solver based on the Newmark method is adopted for the analyses. The values of stress intensity factor obtained from the analyses are 73 and $0.3MPa.m^{0.5}$ for the metal and rock material, respectively. It can be thought that the resulting small value of the fracture toughness of the rock material model well represents the brittleness of rock material.
Design of the container was designed to be able to have a sense of security by emphasizing the points and easy to use sophisticated in order to match the image of the company in an environmentally friendly form of the whole. The design of the natural detergent container, because the container itself is to prevent related bar closely with water, a slip, with an emphasis on the form of fish swim, looks the handle of the oval for the harmony of the entire container I was used to the point. The image extraction in the ordinary, you can design by applying the curve of streamlined feet of thin in order to emphasize the image of honest companies, oval fuselage top, easily without slipping and harmony of the image of the entire container in view of the functional aspects can grab to, which is designed to enter the interior. The design of the natural environment detergent container industry, it was incorporated as much as possible to the vessel and corporate image and sense of stability and the proportion of the overall shape, the basic concepts, the form on the productivity and functionality in the field of design, through the change and simplicity, with an emphasis on merchantability.

A finite element model is developed for the numerical simulation of bed elevation change in a curved channel. The SU/PG (Streamline-Upwind/Petrov-Galerkin) method is used to solve 2D shallow water equations and the BG (Bubnov-Galerkin) method is used for the Exner equation. For the time derivative terms, the Crank-Nicolson scheme is used. The developed model is a decoupled model in a sense that the bed elevation does not change simultaneously with the flow during the computational time step. The total load formula with is used for the sediment transport model. The slip conditions are described along the lateral boundaries. The effects of gravity force due to geometry change and the secondary flows in a curved channel are considered in the model. For the verification, the model is applied to two laboratory experiments. The first is $140^{\circ}$ bended channel data at Delft Hydraulics Laboratory and the second is $140^{\circ}$ bended channel data at Laboratory of Fluid Mechanics of the Delft University of Technology. The finite element grid is constructed with linear quadrilateral elements. It is found that the computed results are in good agreement with measured data, showing a point bar at the inner bank and a pool at the outer bank.

The transition section of the overhead rigid conductor rail (ORCR) consists of a direct induction device and a limit point to prevent the power supply failure and failure of the electric railway vehicle pantograph due to the difference of the uplift in the catenary line. In T-Bar transition section, a twin simple catenary is mostly installed between the overhead catenary system (OCS) in the ground section and the ORCR in the underground section. In this paper, we compare and analyze the possibility of replacing the twin simple catenary with heavy simple catenary. The reliability of numerical analysis results was confirmed by comparing field test with numerical results. Comparing the numerical results of the twin simple catenary with the heavy simple catenary in the transition section, the difference uplift is 5.9[mm] on average. When applying heavy simple catenary instead of twin simple catenary, the slight difference of uplift can be compensated by adjusting the height of hanger-ear or support bracket.

Hydrogen has been recognized of the energy source for the future, in terms of the most environmentally acceptable energy source. A pressurized fluidized bed reactor made of carbon steel with 0.076 m I.D. and 1.0 m in height was employed for the thermocatalytic decomposition of methane to produce amount of $CO_2$ - free hydrogen with validity from a commercial point of view. The fluidized bed was proposed for withdrawing of product carbons from the reactor continuously. The methane decomposition rate with the carbon black N330 catalyst was rapidly reached a quasi-steady state and remained for several hour. The methane thermocatalytic decomposition reaction was carried out at the temperature range of 850 - 950 $^{\circ}C$, methane gas velocity of 2.0 $U_{mf}$ and the operating pressure of 1.0 -3.0 bar. Effect of operating parameters such as reaction temperature, pressure on the reaction rates was investigated and predicted the effect of a change in conditions on a chemical equilibrium thermodynamically, according to Le Chatelier's principle.

Recently, small and medium-sized rahmen-type bridges have been developed as a technology that ensures the stability of structural behavior and the safety of use at the same time by using efficient and economical materials that make up the convergence section of reinforced bar, structural steel and concrete. This study is about a rahmen-type structure applied with the installation and dismantling of the strut. It improves the serviceability of the structure by forming multi-points and efficiently applies the convergence section of structural steel and concrete materials to the structural system changes to induce the displacement improvement effect additionally. By constructing mock-up models for the beam-column joint, the displacement was calculated and compared, and this was compared and analyzed by numerical analysis. The final displacement showed an improvement effect of 13.46% to 36.28% based on the vertical displacement of the existing structure without struts through the experiment of the mock-up models. As a result of analysis by numerical analysis method, the displacement improvement effect of 42.89% could be derived.

Flexural behavior of thin walled steel-concrete composite sections as cross sections for beams is investigated by conducting an experimental study supported by applicable analytical predictions. The experimental study consists of testing up to failure, simply supported beams of effective span 1440 mm under two point loading. The test specimens consisted of composite box and channel (with lip placed on tension side and compression side) sections, the behavior of which was compared with companion empty sections. To understand the role of shear connectors in developing the composite action, some of the composite sections were provided with novel simple bar type and conventional bolt type shear connectors in the shear zone of beams. Two RCC beams having equivalent ultimate moment carrying capacities as that of composite channel and box sections were also considered in the study. The study showed that the strength to weight ratio of composite beams is much higher than RCC beams and ductility index is also more than RCC and empty beams. The analytical predictions were found to compare fairly well with the experimental results, thereby validating the applicability of rigid plastic theory to cold-formed steel concrete composite beams.
This paper addresses issues encountered in measuring the general, 6-degree-of-freedom motion of a human head, A complete mathematical description for measuring the head motion using the six-accelerometer configured bite-bar is suggested, The description shows that the six-axis vibration cannot be completely obtained without the roll, pitch and yaw angular velocity components, A new method of estimating the three orthogonal (roll, pitch and yaw) angular velocities from the six acceleration measurements is introduced. The estimated angular velocities are shown to enable further quantitative error analysis in measuring the translational and angular accelerations at the head. To make this point clear, experimental results are also illustrated in this paper. They show that when the effects of angular velocities are neglected in the head vibration measurement the maximum percentage errors were observed to be more than $3 \%$ for the angular acceleration of the head and to be close to $5 \%$ for its translational acceleration, respectively. It means that the inclusion of all the angular velocity dependent acceleration components gives more accurate measurement of the head vibration.
A key point of a soldering process for photovoltaic (PV) modules is to increase an adhesive strength leading a low resistivity between ribbon and cell. In this study, we intended to optimize a heating condition for the soldering process and characterize the soldered joint via physical and chemical analysis methods. For the purpose, the heating conditions were adjusted by IR lamp power, heating time and hot plate temperature for preheating a cell. Since then the peel test for the ribbon and cell was conducted, consequently the peel strength data shows that there is some optimum soldering condition. In here, we observed that the peel strength was modified by increasing the heating condition. Such a soldering property is affected by a various factors of which the soldered joint, flux and bus bar of the cell are changed on the heating condition. Therefore, we tried to reveal causes determining the soldering property through analyzing the soldered interface.
