Detection of plcR-papR Genes by PCR in Identifying Enterotoxin Genes-Harboring Bacillus cereus Strains (장독소 유전자 함유 Bacillus cereus 확인을 위한 독소 전사 조절 유전자 plcR-papR의 PCR 검출법)

  • Identification of virulent Bacillus cereus strains was examined by PCR using primers specific for the detection of plcR-papR, which encode regulatory proteins controlling the transcription of virulence factors in B. cereus. Total 96 strains of B. cereus that carried at least one of diarrheal toxin genes including hblACD, nheABC, and cytK showed all positive PCR products, while other 48 Bacillus strains that lacked the toxin genes were plcRpapR-negative. This PCR method targeting the plcR-papR genes appears to be simple and effective in identifying the enterotoxin genes-harboring B. cereus strains.

PLC Devices Fabricated on Flexible Plastic Substrate by Roll-to-Roll Imprint Lithography (유연 기판을 이용한 PLC소자 제작을 위한 롤투롤 공정 연구)

  • Demand for a low-cost, high-throughput, and high-resolution patterning method for fabricating devices continues to increase. The roll-to-roll (R2R) imprint lithography technique has received a great deal of attention as a means of fabricating next-generation devices. In this paper, we propose a fabrication method for polymeric planar lightwave circuit (PLC) devices that uses R2R imprint lithography. The proposed technique uses an elastomeric polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) mold. A Si wafer with micro patterns is used as the Si master. The PDMS mold is then replicated from the Si master. By applying a precise web tension and at a given web speed, we fabricated a micro-patterned PLC device. The insertion losses were 4.0 dB for a $1{\times}2$ optical splitter. As such, the proposed method of fabricating a PLC device by the R2R process was shown to be an effective solution.

  • Currently, Programmable Logic Contorller(PLC) uses Real Time Operation System(RTOS) as basic OS. RTOS executes defined results as to defined time. General features of RTOS emphasize the priority in each task, high-speed process of external interrupt, task scheduling, synchronization in task, the limitation of memory capacity. For safety critical placement, PLC software needs Verification and Validation(V&V). For example, nuclear power plant. In this paper, PLC RTOS is verified by formal methods. Particularly, formal method V&V uses verification tool called 'STATEMATE', and shows the results.

  • 전력선 이용 통신(PLC)은 전화선, CATV 망, 위성에 이어 제4의 통신망 산업으로 급부상하고 있다. 본 고에서는 피엘콤 이더넷 PLC를 중심으로 PLC의 기술특성 및 인터넷 접속가격 비교를 통해 국내 PLC 시장을 전망하였다. PLC는 기술적인 측면에서 제한된 전송전력, 높은 부하 간섭, 가변감쇠, 그리고 임피던스 레벨 등의 단점을 가지고 있다. 그러나 속도 및 가격 측면에서는 절대 및 비교우위를 가지고 있다. 따라서 기술적인 문제점들을 해결하여 상용화에 성공할 경우 기존의 인터넷접속 서비스 상품과 경쟁하는 제3의 유선통신망으로 등장하면서 기존 통신서비스 시장의 구도를 크게 바꾸어 놓을 것으로 전망된다.

  • The systematic function of the PLC (Programmable - Logic Controller) has been enhanced immensely due to the various special modules that consist of the conventional I/O control contants plus special function, which enables the flexible application to highly advanced systems. Position control module is one of the various PLC special module. In this paper, we proposed new synchronized operating method and implemented 8 - axis servo control system. The validity of proposed method is verified througth experimental results and it will be possible to expand 32 - axis servo control system by RS - 485 communication spec.

  • This paper proposes a machine vision module for PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers). PLC is the industrial controller most widely used in factory automation system. However most of the machine vision systems are based on PC (Personal Computer). The machine vision system embedded in PLC is required to reduce the cost and improve the convenience of implementation. In this paper, we newly propose a machine vision module based on PLC. The image processing libraries are implemented and integrated with the PLC programming tool. In order to interface the libraries with ladder programming, the ladder instruction set was also designed for each vision library. By use of the developed system, PLC users can implement vision systems easily by ladder programming. The developed system was applied to sample inspection system to verify the performance. The experimental results show that the proposed system can reduce the cost of installing as well as increase the ease-of-implementation.

  • This technical reports describes KEPCO's PLC technology and PLC AMI projects. KEPCO has developed PLC and PLC convergence technology. KEPCO's BPL(Broadband over PLC) standard was selected as an IEC International Standard (IEC 12139-1) in 2009. KEPCO conducted a project installing 550,000 smart meters to residential customers finishing in 2010. KEPCO will carry out a PLC-AMI project around country until 2020, as well as many pilot projects to test its PLC convergence technology.
