세라밴드를 이용한 운동프로그램이 여성 노인의 신체구성, 혈압 및 체력에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Exercise using Thera Band on Body Compositions, Blood Pressure and Physical Fitness in the Elderly Women)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of exercise using Thera Band on body compositions, blood pressure and physical fitness in the elderly women. Method: The study was designed as a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental study. Twenty four subjects were assigned for experimental group and twenty one subjects were assigned for control group. The experimental group participated in Thera Band exercise program consisting of 60 minutes per session, 3 times a week during the period of 12 weeks. The effects of the program were assessed using the instruments measuring the body compositions, blood pressure and physical fitness before and after applying the program. Data were collected between April and June in 2006, and analyzed by $x^2$-test, t-test, ANCOVA using a SPSS 11.5 program. Results: There were statistically significant in percent of body fat, muscle strength, muscle endurance, flexibility, and balance ability, but no significant differences were found in body weight, systolic pressure and diastolic pressure. Conclusion: Exercise using Thera Band can be an effective nursing intervention to improve percent of body fat, muscle strength, muscle endurance, flexibility and balance ability in the elderly women.

인솔 높이에 따른 복합운동프로그램 적용 시 20대 비만 여대생의 신체생리 및 체력적 기능 변화 (Changes of Biophysical and Physical Fitness Function on Combined Exercise Program in 20' Female University Students with Obesity according to Heights of Insole)

  • 본 연구는 20대 비만 여대생의 복합운동 시 운동화 속 인솔의 높이의 차에 따른 비만관련 신체생리 및 체력적 기능 변화를 알아보기 위해 실시하였다. 비만 여대생 36명을 인솔의 높이에 따라 0cm군, 5cm군, 9cm군으로 군당 12명씩 분류하여 비만 관련 신체 생리는 기초대사량과 체지방률을 측정하였고, 건강 관련 체력은 넙다리네갈래근 등속성 근력, 근지구력, 유연성, 순발력을 측정하여 운동 전과 후 각 그룹 간을 효과적 차이를 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 넙다리네갈래근의 등속성 근력과 기초대사량은 세 군 모두 증가하였으며, 5cm군이 0cm군과 9cm군에 비해 더 유의하게 증가된 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 적절한 인솔의 높이를 적용한 복합운동은 비만 여대생의 근력과 기초대사량에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다.

  • A fitness facility in an apartment complex is not a simple sports facility. It has important roles in improving the residents' physical and mental health, and in forming a sense of community. This study analyzed the number of users in the fitness facility of the apartment complex, which is a significant criterion in determining the dimension. A comparative analysis between the past and the present function and dimension was performed in finding out the optimal solutions. In conclusion, the number of users in the fitness facility is influenced not by the number of households in the complex but by the facility's size and creating a desired environment. The users' favorite sports equipments were figured out to meet those needs. Moreover, comparing the facilities' size, user satisfaction, area per person, an optimal dimension for the facility, and rates of equipments were found out.

노인들의 체력 변화와 운동의 제언 (The changing of fitness and exercise guidelines for old adults)

  • The aging is related to numerous changes in our body system which declines functional ability. The functional ability in advanced age can be evaluated by the 4 components of fitness (cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility and body composition). The understanding and knowledge of changing 4 components of fitness and the role of exercise on the process of aging is of paramount importance. Despite exercise and physical activity have been shown to delay the process of aging, the exercise guidelines and recommendations for old adults are not well published. This review is to presents the age-related changes in each component of fitness and to present current guidelines and recommendations for exercise in older adults.

  • 부사관으로서 요구되는 여러 가지 중 가장 중요하며 기본이 되는 것이 체력이라고 판단하여, 최근 부사관 선발시험 결과를 바탕으로 연구를 진행하고자 한다. 부사관 선발과정은 1차 필기, 2차 체력 및 면접을 통해 최종합격자를 발표하는 과정으로 이루어진다. 최근 지원자들의 두드러진 변화는 체력검정부분에 대한 준비가 많이 부족하며 기초체력 자체가 많이 부족한 학생들이 증가하는 추세이다. 초급간부의 기본이라고 할 수 있는 기초체력 그 중에서 오래달리기에 준비가 많이 필요해 보인 다. 따라서 부사관 준비생들의 기초자료분석 및 효과적인 수업적용을 통해 우리 군이 요구하는 정신적, 신체적 소양을 갖춘 우수한 인재 양성 모형을 제시하고자 한다.

요양보호사의 마음건강, 관점수용, 노인 돌봄태도 및 정량 뇌파 분석 연구 (A Study on Analysis of Mental Fitness, Perspective Taking, Attitude toward the Elderly, and Quantitative Encephalogram among Caregivers)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the mental fitness, perspective taking, attitude toward the elderly, and quantitative encephalogram among caregivers. Methods: In this mixed method research, 14 female caregivers at an elderly care facility in Y city were participated from December 1st to December 31st, 2019. Structured questionnaires were applied to measure general characteristics, mental fitness, perspective taking, and attitude toward the elderly. Brain waves were measured by quantitative encephalogram in the prefrontal lobe. High frequency and high level of care tasks were analyzed using content analysis. Results: According to analysis of brain waves, caregivers experienced high level of physical strain & stress and psychological distraction & stress. Mental fitness (p<.05) and perspective taking (p<.001) were associated with attitude toward the elderly. Moreover, physical strain & stress was associated with psychological distraction & stress (p<.05, p<.001). High frequency and high level tasks were excretion and position change & movement care related tasks, respectively. Conclusion: These findings should be consider as an evidence for supporting care tasks based on concrete and objective understanding of caregivers using self-reported index as well as neurophysiological indicators including brain waves.

중국 대학생의 체질량지수에 따른 체력 비교 (Comparison of physical fitness according to body mass index of Chinese college students)

  • Background: The purpose of this study was to a comparison of physical fitness according to the body mass index (BMI) of Chinese college students. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: According to the BMI, the research objects are divided into four types: underweight, normal weight, overweight, and obesity. This research took 26,976 college students who participated in Jiujiang College. It examines BMI, 50m, vital capacity, standing long jump, sitting forward bend, sit-up (female), pull-up (male), 800m (female), 1000m (male) which is to research the correlation between different BMI and other indicators. Results: The physical qualities of students with normal weight are significantly better than those with other BMI groups. Pearson correlation analysis showed that male BMI was positively correlated with vital capacity (r=0.07, p<0.01), 50m (r=0.15, p<0.01) and 1000m (r=0.14, p<0.01), and negatively correlated with standing long jump (r=-0.12, p<0.01), sitting forward bend (r=-0.06, p<0.01) and pull-up (r=-0.13, p<0.01); Female BMI was positively correlated with vital capacity (r=0.03, p<0.01), 50m (r=0.21, p<0.01) and 800m (r=0.18, p<0.01), and negatively correlated with standing long jump (r=-0.07, p<0.01), sitting forward bend (r=-0.11, p<0.01) and sit-up (r=-0.10, p<0.01). Conclusion: Overweight and underweight will affect the physical quality of college students. Students should keep their BMI within the normal range for their health.

국민 건강증진을 위한 신체활동 지침 (Health-enhancing Physical Activity Guidelines for Koreans: the Status and Directions for Revision)

  • Objectives: There have been no specific as well as evidence-based physical activity guidelines issued on the governmental level. There just have been physical activity recommendations and guidelines released from governmental agencies or organizations as well as individual researchers and these are not consistent, thereby giving the public and even some professionals quite a confusion. As such, this study was aimed to suggest key factors to include when issuing national physical activity recommendations for Koreans. Methods: Since chronological evolution of modern physical activity recommendations reflects key factors to consider when establishing those recommendations and guidelines, that released for several decades was reviewed. Results: The evolution was found to be based on the basis of strong evidence from both epidemiological and exercise physiology studies and the key concepts of such evolution were feasibility, efficacy, and safety. Conclusion: On the basis of three key factors found in the review process, this study concluded that the upcoming national physical activity guidelines should include the following to maximize the outcomes of the efforts which have long been put by the division of physical activity under the 'New Health Plan 2010'. First, guidelines for achieving health benefits (ie, preventing chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancers or weight management) as well as improving cardiorespiratory fitness should be included to enhance efficacy. Second, safety measures should be included to enhance safety. Third, various alternative forms of physical activity should be included to enhance feasibility.

한국고등학생의 체력요인과 국가수준의 학업성취도의 관계 (The relationship between physical fitness factors and academic achievement of high school students in Korea)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 고등학생의 체력요인인 심폐지구력과 근력·근지구력, 순발력 그리고 체지방지수가 학업성취도인 국어와 영어 그리고 수학성취도에 어떤 관계가 있는지를 알아보는 것이다. 연구방법은 2014년과 2017년 전국 고등학교 641명의 남·여학생을 대상으로 심폐지구력과 유연성, 근력·근지구력, 순발력 그리고 체지방지수를 이용하였다. 본 연구의 결과로 2014년도에서는 20m왕복오래달리기와 국어, 수학성취도가 음의 상관관계(p<0.01), 앉아윗몸앞으로굽히기가 영어성취도와 양의 상관관계(p<0.01), 제자리멀리뛰기와 영어성취도가 양의 상관관계(p<0.01), 체지방지수는 영어성취도와 양의 상관관계로 나타났다(p<0.05). 2017년도에서는 20m왕복오래달리기와 영어성취도가 양의 상관관계(p<0.05). 오래달리기걷기와 국어성취도, 수학성취도는 음의 상관관계로 나타났다(p<0.01). 앉아윗몸앞으로굽히기와 국어, 영어, 수학성취도는 양의 상관관계(p<0.01), 팔굽혀펴기와 수학성취도는 양의 상관관계(p<0.01), 체지방지수와 영어성취도는 음의 상관관계로 나타났다(p<0.05). 본 연구의 결론은 다양한 신체활동은 체력요인뿐만 아니라 학업 성취도에 긍정적인 관계를 만들기 때문에 보다 효과적인 체력증진프로그램을 개발하고 시행하는 것이 국내학생들의 학습능력증진에 기여할 수 있다고 기대한다.

축구영재 프로그램이 초등학생의 신체조성, 기초체력, 자기조절능력 및 자기효능감에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Football Talents Program on Body Composition, Physical Fitness, Self-Control and Self-Efficacy in Elementary School Students)

  • 본 연구는 24주간의 축구영재 프로그램을 실시하여 초등학생(저학년, 고학년)의 신체조성, 기초체력, 자기조절능력 및 자기효능감에 미치는 영향을 구명하기 위하여 남자 초등학생 80명을 대상으로 저학년 40명, 고학년 40명으로 구분하여 실시하였다. 축구영재 프로그램은 주 1회, 24주간 실시되었으며, 측정된 자료의 그룹 내 변화는 대응표본 t-검정, 그룹 간 차이는 독립표본 t-검정을 이용하여 비교 분석하였다. 또한, 그룹과 시기간의 상호작용 효과 검증을 위하여 이원반복측정분산분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 신체조성 중 근육량은 두 그룹 모두 유의하게 증가하였고, 그룹 간 유의한 차이가 나타났으며, 체지방량은 유의하게 감소하였다. 기초체력은 모든 변인에서 두 그룹 모두 유의하게 증가하였고, 심폐지구력, 근력, 순발력에서 그룹 간 차이가 나타났다. 자기조절능력과 자기효능감은 두 그룹 모두 유의하게 증가하였으나, 그룹 간 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 축구영재 프로그램은 초등학교 남학생의 신체조성 및 기초체력 증진에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 자기조절능력과 자기효능감을 높이는데 효과적인 것으로 사료된다.
