Recently, due to its better photosensitivity in X-ray, the amorphous selenium based photoreceptor is used on digital direct method conversion material. Compared to other photoconductive material, amorphous selenium has good X-ray response characteristic and low leakage current. It has many parameters of detecting X-ray response on selenium. Among of them, it is well known that manufacture of a-Se is the most basic element. In this paper, we fabricated two types of amorphous selenium sample which had time variable. The one was fabricated continuous deposition sample and the other was step by step sample. Thickness of sample was $300{\mu}m$ and top electrode was evaporated gold. We investigated the leakage current and photo current of them and analysed their electrical characteristics. For analyzing morphology of samples, SEM and surface was pictured. We found that step by step deposition method could be applied for novel fabricating amorphous selenium film.

Tris (2-methyl-1-aziridinyl) phosphine oxide (MAPO) is extremely poisonous and persistent in aqueous media. An efficient UV/nano$TiO_2$ process was employed for its mineralization in a high duty falling film photo-reactor based on an experimental design scheme that considers interactions between the main variables. The influencing variables and their range were determined with preliminary studies. The results show substrate mineralization to some extent under mild conditions of: T = $30^{\circ}C$, pH = 8.5, $[MAPO]_0=60\;mg\;L^{-1}$ and $[TiO_2]=110\;mg\;L^{-1}$. The relative importance of the influencing parameters were initial pH > temperature > $[MAPO]_0$ > [$TiO_2$]; while the interdependence of all the parameters was significant. Accordingly, a reduced quadratic expression was developed. Meanwhile, mineralization kinetic studies, based on chemical oxygen demand, revealed a power law model with order of 2.6 during process time until 150 min.

편광자나 검광자가 장착된 모터를 회전시키는 기계적인 변조방식이나 압전소자에 조화진동하는 교류전압을 가하는 위상변조방식에 기초를 둔 일반적인 편광변조 및 편광상태 측정 방식에 의존하지 않고 움직이지 않는 광분할기와 편광자를 통과한빛의 세기를 측정하는 DOAP 방식으로 편광상태를 측정하기 때문에 광검출소자 및 전자회로의 반응시간에 의해 그 신간분해능이 결정되는 새로운 방식의 초고속 다원계를 설계하였다. 이 초고속 타원계는 수 ns의 시간분해능을 가지고 있음을 확인하였으며 상변화기구 같은 동적기구를 연구하는 도구로의 응용 가능성을 검토하였다.

Nitric oxide (NO) has been regarded as one of the neurotransmitters of nonadrenergic, noncholinergic (NANC) nerve stimulation in rabbit corpus cavernosum, rat gastric fundus and human intestine. PIANO (photo-induced adequate nitric oxide) is a very useful tool to investige the role of NO in various smooth muscles where NO is a mediator. The present study was undertaken to compare the physiological responses of the rat gastric smooth muscle in response to NANC nerve stimulation and to PIANO. Photolysis of L-NAME, D-NAME and streptozotocin (572) by UV light in the bathing medium caused relaxation of rat gastric fungus that contracted with carbachol, but was resistant to tetrodotoxin (TTX, 1 $\mu$M). Electrical stimulation (20 V, 2~32 Hz, 0.2 msec, 10s) of the gastric fundus, in the presence of atropine and guanethidine, induced frequency-dependent, TTX-sensitive relaxation. Sodium nitroprusside (1 nM-10 $\mu$M), a NO donor, mimicked the relaxations observed after NANC-stimulation or PIANO. Furthermore, PIANO caused UV light exposure time-dependent increase of CGMP in rat gastric fungus strips. These results provide another evidence indirectly that NO is one of the mediators of the NANC inhibitory nerve stimulation in the rat gastric fundus.

Purpose: As introducing a case on extracurricular medical education using artists as instructors, we purposed to make significant implication on the technology-centered medical education. Methods: A case on extracurricular medical education using artists as instructors was introduced and the response of participants among medical students was presented and analyzed. Results: 25 medical students and 5 artists participated in this extracurricular medical education program. Each 5 artists' special area were an oil painting, an illustration, a documentary photo, a play, and an animation Participants' satisfaction of this program was high among medical students. They thought the time with an artist as a significant opportunity for understanding not only human-being but also himself or herself. Conclusions: The application of this learner-centered and extracurricular education program using artists as instructors needed further consideration in medical education. Medical students' meeting with artists can fill the lost art of medicine.

It is necessary to develope the active safety system in terms of driver's safety and convenience. In this paper, we were developed the non-contact type of safety window system operated by the initial value of feedback control such as the output signal of photo sensor. It was designed based on the control algorithm with an improved load sensitivity. Therefore, compared with the existing system, it is possible to prevent the occurrence of a mull-function. Also, it has a convenient functions of the window such as an auto up/down and closing, and has a response times better. It can be installed the various types of common vehicles that have the different movement distance and speed of window. In conclusion, the developed system may be adapted the vehicle commercially.

Toluene($C_6H_5CH_3$) gas sensors were fabricated using $PtO_x$ loaded with SWNTs by a new deposition method. The nanoparticle powders of SWNTs-$PtO_x$ composite were deposited on Si wafer substrates by a vacuum filtering deposition method. The fabricated sensors were tested against toluene gas which is a kind of the Volatile Organic Compounds. The composition ratio that exhibited the highest response to toluene gases was SWNTs : $PtO_x\;=\;99:1$ in wt% ratio at operating temperature of about $150^{\circ}C$. The response and recovery times of the sensors were as short as less than 1 min., respectively.

In this paper, an novel optical measuring system based on the electro-optic effect has been proposed and realized using Pockels cell with a view to detecting partial discharge taking place at the needle plane electrode. This system has the following advantages ; nonmetallic probe sensor, immune to external EMI noise and broad band response of the Pockels cell from DC to GHz. This system is constructed by He-Ne laser, Mach-Zehnder interferometer with Pockels sensor, balanced photo receiver, data acquisition board and PC. The response characteristics of the developed proto type sensor are examined for AC and corona discharge.

논문에서는 조명용 LED를 사용하여 실내 무선광 통신이 가능함을 보인다. 조명용 LED를 광원으로 사용하면 조명과 신호의 송신을 겸할 수 있으며, LED를 발광소자 및 수광 소자 로 겸용할 수 있으면 포토다이오드나 포토트랜지스터 등, 별도의 소자나 장치가 없이도 송수신기를 구현할 수 있기 때문에 별도의 통신 소자를 사용하지 않고 전송이 가능하여 장치구조가 매우 단순화 된다. 본 연구에서는 동시특성을 실험적으로 확인하고 소자의 주파수 특성을 실험을 통해 데이터를 수집하였다. 그 결과 조명용 LED를 발광/수광겸용 소자로 사용하여 무선광 데이터 전송을 할 수 있는 특성이 있음을 제시하였다. 새로운 방식의 가시광 통신이 가능함을 제시하였고, 처리 주파수도 기존 방식 보다도 높은 데이터 전송이 가능함을 보여주었다.

To fabricate superconducting multiplexers with narrow pass band characteristics and reduce the physical size of device, we have designed multiplexer using hair-pin type filters with the center frequency of 13.6 GHz. Multiplexers have been fabricated superconductor(HTS), because It has low surface resistance. The $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-{\delta}}$(YBCO) films were deposited on MgO substrates$(20{\times}20{\times}0.5mm^3)$ by using pulsed laser deposition and conventional photo-lithographic methods were used to pattern the multiplexer. Epitaxial YBCO films were grown on(100) MgO substrates and showed strongly c_axis orientations observed by X-ray diffraction technique. Superconducting transition temperatures were measured to be about 89K. Simulated results of superconducting multiplexer consisting of hair-pin type filters show the insertion loss of about 1.2dB. The measured frequency response will be compared with the simulated results.
