Concentrations of Pollutants at Paddy Field Areas during Dry Irrigation Periods (평상시 광역논에서의 오염물질의 농도 특성)

  • This study describes the characteristics of concentrations of pollutants such as tolal nitrogen(T-N), total phosphrous(T-P), and chemical oxgen demand(COD) at paddy areas during 2-year dry irrigation periods. Most of pollutants concentrations in drainage water are lower than those in irrigation water after early July due to large uptake of pollutants by rice crop and denitrification. For drainage water, the concentrations of pollutants are constant irrespective of discharges and the average T-N/T-P ratios water range from 14 to 44, suggesting that phosphrous is limiting.

  • While the enhanced biological phosphorus removal(EBPR), in anaerobic/aerobic condition, was known to remove phosphorus by means of metabolism of poly-P microorganisms, the phosphorus removed could be released in the form of ortho-P in the aerobic fixed biofilm reactor. This study was initiated to investigate the cause of ortho-P release in the aerobic fixed biofilm reactor. The resutls indicated that the phosphorus release was caused by autooxidation. The synthesis and release of phosphrous were related to the ORP and the boundary value for the phase change was about 170mV. In the synthesis phase, the phosphorus removal rate per COD removed was $0.023mgP_{syn}/mgCOD_{rem}$. The phosprous contents of the microorganism were 4.3 ~ 6.0% on a dry weight basis.

Runoff Loading on Nutrients from a Paddy Field during Non-Cropping Season (비영농기간 단일필지 논으로부터 영양물질의 유출부하량)

  • The present study was carried out for 7-months (from October 1.1997 to April 30. 1998) at a rice cultivation area blocked from livestock farming, farmstead and industrial complex to investigate the runoff loading of nitrogen and phosphorus in a plot(5,000$m^2$) paddy field areas. The runoff loading of total-N, amminia-N nitrate-N and total-P were 12.96kg/ha, 5.42kg/ha, 1.52kg/ha and 1.41kg/ha , respectively. When the runoff loading of nutrients was compared by dissolved and adsorbed forms, about 66% of total-N by dissolved form and the rest 34% by adsorbed form were flowed into streams. But 56% of total-P by adsorbed form and the rest 44% by dissolved form were flowed into streams. The phosphrous compounds , which were flowed into streams by runoff sediments and then sedimented, keep exchanging with water at water body in undelivered condition. And it moves gradually into water layer. This process can cause eutrophication continually and repeatedly in water environment . So, a sound program is needed to reduce soil erosion from farmlands.

  • Growing algae spread over open water surface of water hyacinth system the leaves of hyacinth prevented the passage of sunlight through the water surface. The objectives of this study were to investigate the effects of the algae growth on the effluent of water hyacinth wastewater treatment systems operated with the variation of an organic loading rate between 190 to 550 kg COD/ha.day. The effluent from the system contained algae was discharged for about 2-3 weeks from the beginning of experimental operation of water hyacinth systems. BOD and 55 concentration of effluents during algae growthing periods were higher than those during the period of algae control. But nitrogen and phosphrous romoval efficiencies during in algae growthing periods were slighty higher than those during the period of algae control.

A study on boron and phosphrous doping profile by RTA using 1MeV high energy ion implantaiton (1MeV 고에너지로 붕소(boron)와 인(phosphorus)을 이온주입 시급속 열처리에 따른 도핑 프로파일)

  • p형 실리콘 기판위에 100.angs.의 초기 산화막을 성장시킨 후 붕소(B)와 인(P)을 1MeV 이온주입 에너지로 4.dec. tilting하여 붕소의 도즈량은 1*10/녀ㅔ 13/[cm/sup -2/]까지, 인은 1*10/sup 13/[cm/sup -2]로부터 1*10/sup 14/[cm/sup -2/] 까지 변화시키며 이온 주입하였다. 이온주입 후 RTA 로서 열처리 하였으며, 열처리 시간은 10초에서 40초까지,열처리 온도를 1000.deg.C에서 1100.deg.C까지 변화하였다. 이후 기파낸의 불순물의 프로파일 및 미세 결함의 분포를 분석하기 위하여, SIMS, SRP, XTEM 분석을 실시하였고, 이를 monte-carlo 모ㅓ델로서 시뮬레이션하여 비교하였다. SIMS 분석 결과 열처리 온도와 시간이 증가할수록 접합깊이가 증가하였고, 프로파일이 넓어짐을 볼수 있다. SRP 측정에서 붕소는 주해거리 (Rp)값은 1.8.mu.m~1.9.mu.m, 인의 경우는 1.1.mu.m~1.2.mu.m의 주행거리 (Rp) 값이 나타났다. XTEM 분석결과 붕소의 경우 열처리에 전후에도 결함을 볼수 없었고, 인의 경우 열처리 이후에 실리콘 결정내부에 있던 산소(O)와 인(P)우너자의 pinning효과에 의해 전위다이폴을 형성하여 표면근처로 성장함을 볼수 있었다.

  • This study was designed to investigate the effect of nutrient intake on bone mineral density (BMD) of the lumbar spine(L2longrightarrowL4) in 41 postmenopausal women. The BMD of the lumbar spine was positively correlated with caiorie protein animal protein fat animal fat calcium animal calcium milk ad dairy calcium phosphorus iron animal iron vitamin A thiamin animal calcium milk and dairy calcium phosphorus iron animal iron vitamin A thiamin riboflavin niacin and ascorbic acid intake. Postmenopausal wmen of BMD$\geq$100% showed enhanced calorie protein fat calcium phosphrous niacin intake compared women of BMD<100% In the group of calorie protein riboflavin intake$\geq$recommended dietary allowances(RDA) BMD was significantly higher than BMD in the group of these nutrient intakes$\geq$700 mg/d is significantly higher than BMD that of examined using stepwise multiple regression analysis. From this analysis in subjects aged 50~59 years fat intake only in subjects aged 60~69 years niacin intake Ca/P in total subjects fat riboflavin intake were signifiant independent predictors of BMD In the group of menopausal significant independent predictor of BMD This study suggests that dietary calcium is a major constituent affecting lumbar spin BMD in postmenopausal women whose menopausal period is over than 5 years.

The characterization for the Ti-silicide of $N^+P$ junction by 2 step RTD (2단계 RTD방법에 의한 $N^+P$ 접합 티타늄 실리사이드 특성연구)

  • Two step RTD(Rapid Thermal Diffussion) of P into silicon wafer using tungsten halogen lamp was used to fabricated very shallow n$^{+}$p junction. 1st RTD was performed in the temperature range of 800.deg. C for 60 see and the heating rate was in the 50.deg. C/sec. Phosphrous solid source was transfered on the silicon surface. 2nd RTD process was performed in the temperature range 1050.deg. C, 10sec. Using 2 step RTD we can obtain a shallow junction 0.13.mu.m in depth. After RTD, the Ti-silicide process was performed by the two step RTA(Rapid Thermal Annealing) to reduced the electric resistance and to improve the n$^{+}$p junction diode. The titanium thickness was 300.angs.. The condition of lst RTA process was 600.deg. C of 30sec and that of 2nd RTA process was varied in the range 700.deg. C, 750.deg. C, 800.deg. C for 10sec-60sec. After 2 step RTA, sheet resistance was 46.ohm../[]. Ti-silicide n+p junction diode was fabricated and I-V characteristics were measured.red.

  • Novel phosphrous flame retardant tetramethylene bis(orthophosphorylurea) (TBPU) was synthesized by the reaction of diphosphoric acid with 1,4-butanediol and urea, and charaterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). As the amount of TBPU added in polyurethane foam (PUF) was increased, the flame retardancy of PUF was increased and the mechanical properties were not decreased. Also, in the flame resistance test after the reduced pressure storage, the flame retardancy of TBPU added PUF was retained. We could find out that the thermal resistance of TBPU added PUF increased compared to that of pure PUF.
