A design system for mechanical components is being developed using an Object-Oriented Programming language Smalltalk to allow mechanical designers to use the experience of expert designers. The system is organized in such a manner that the expert knowledge stored in it could be easily retrieved by the junior designer. The experience and the knowledge of the expert are placed in the databases. Multiple design models, in this system, can be processed simultaneously, because the expert knowledge is broken down into elements which can be used by different design models. In this way the system proves more flexible and extendable. In this paper, the philosophy of the system and the databases involved in the system will be addressed.

This paper reports the effort for developing this new Unified Manufacturing Instruction Set and its environment, called here UniSet, to deal with difficulties in set up and operation of Flexible Manufacturing Cells, UniSet has been developed as a non-exclusive unified manufacturing instruction set based on com- parisons of the prevailing machine tool and programming primitives. UniSet allows programmers to deal with only one instruction set, if they so desire, in a single coherent enviroment, rather than numerous machine programming languges. The software system is coded in an Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) language, Smalltalk, and derives its paradigm from the OO philosophy. Test results are also includ- ed to demonstrate the applicability of the approach employed.

Today, mankind is falling in serious stress. So there are various way that heal men as human psychology, philosophy, medical science etc. And in recent years, interest in literature therapy has been focused to heal the human sense of spirit. In the future, we will be able to treat our spirit sense with AI Emotion. The treatment process can be induced by the system of emotion coding which AI Emotion deliver Emotion signals to Human body. For this study, we used the Ahn Min-young's Sijo. The reason is that his Sijo is useful this study of the Emotion Coding. As the result, Ahn Min-young's emotion coding created the codes as if amino acid codes. We must continue this research. Then our literature therapy could grow and contribute to human well-being.

With the introduction of digital technology since the late 1970s, we have been shifting from the industrial era into the information age. New communication systems have changed our concept of reality. Korea has a wealthy communication heritage with its own language and alphabet. However, Korean typography today has struggled to keep its originality, and does not hold up well to international standards. Korean contemporary typography is not efficient for communicating. It is not orderly, organised and simple. It has currently become complicated and decorative. Moreover, many young designers are attracted by imitations of western trends. It is now time for Korea to reveal its own identity. How can it develop a new typographic language that is more sympathetic to Korean tradition\ulcorner How will Korean information design produce a contemporary style with international relevance that contributes to world culture\ulcorner This thesis will be developed a new Korean typographic language that relies more on Korean traditions. Simultaneously, in this thesis will be examined Swiss typography as a relevant style for a new Korean typography to incorporate. Swiss typography maintained a similar philosophy to Korean tradition with its emphasis on clarity and simplicity. This study will be explored the potential of creating a contemporary Korean typographic solution which combines the traditions of Korea with the clarity of Swiss typography. The first attitude of the new typographic language should focus on legibility. The second condition of the new typographic philosophy based on the ability of designers is interpretation of context. The third concept of the new language is founded on an objective, rational design attitude. The final mental attitude of the new typographic language should feel a deep obligation to traditions. It is crucial time for Korean alphabet to establish a relevant standard rather than goes uncritically with the international current. Korea has had worthy traditions. This study attempts to verify the hypothesis that the interdisciplinary communication patterns may be different according to each disciplines. To put it concretely, it is intended to analyze and compare the subject distribution, the format, the age, the origin and the language of the documents of other disciplines cited in the journal articles according to each disciplines. To test the hypothesis philosophy, sociology and physics as the sample for the three disciplines, that is, humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences are sellected, and the documents cited in the journal articles published in 1966, 1971. 1976, 1981 and 1986 by the Korean Philosophical Association, the Korean Sociological Association and the Korean Physical Society are collected. And then the subject distribution, the format, the age, the origin, the language, and their use rate of the documents of other disciplines cited in the journal articles are investigated, analyzed and compared according to each disciplines. Some findings and conclusions made in the study are as follows. 1. The subject distribution of documents of other disciplines cited and its distribution ratio are different according to each disciplines, that is, humanities high, natural sciences low and social sciences medium. 2. The format and the use rate of documents of other disciplines cited are different according to each disciplines. In the three disciplines book and journal are more used than any format of documents in interdisciplinary communication while in case of the humanities and social sciences book is more used than journal, and in case of the natural sciences journal is more used than book in that communication. 3. The age and the use rate of the cited documents of other disciplines are different according to each disciplines. In case of the social sciences and natural sciences the documents of its last 20 years of publication are cited concentrately, and in case of the humanities the literature age is unconcerned. 4. The origin and the language of the cited documents of other disciplines, and its use rate are different according to each disciplines. In the humanities and natural sciences the documents published in foreign country are cited concentrately, and in the social sciences the home publication documents are more cited than the foreign. The documents of other disciplines in English language are most cited among the documents in any foreign languages in interdisciplinary communication. Putting the three disciplines in order of the use rate of the documents in English language, the natural sciences is high, the humanities medium, and the social sciences low. In the social sciences the use rate of the documents of other disciplines in Korean language is high while in the humanities and natural sciences slight.

This article focuses on Funology and a new classified application system based on concept of language and thought which are formed by body experience. It is defined by Funology Body as that. Funology Body is classifying and searching system which are consisted of a body, world (environment), and device tool. The body is sectioned by Brain, Eyes, Ears, Nose, Mouth, Hand, Torso, Feet, and Heart according as parts of the human body. This allows intuiting and experience searching as making classified system connected to the application relationship with concept of an each part of body. The Brain of the body is sub-classified by Book, Account, Business, Memory, Education, Search, and Aphorism to imply the application with thought. The Eyes take Video, Photography, and Broadcast for visibility. The Ears is categorized as Music, Instrument, Audio, and Radio for hearing. The Nose gets Perfume, Smell for olfactory sense. The Mouth is sectioned by Food, SNS, Chatting, Email, and Blog for eating and communication. The Hand sorts into Games, Kits, and Editing to handle, create, and play. The Torso is grouped by Health, Medical, Dance, Sport, Fashion, and Testyuorself related by protecting internal and meaning of the body core. The Feet is classified by Travel, Transportation, Map, and Outdoor for moving and concept of expanding the terrain. The Heart is consisted of Fear, Anger, Joy, Sadness, Acceptance, Disgust, Expectation, and Surprise for a human feeling. Beyond that, the World takes News, Time, Weather, Map, Fortune, and Shop, and Device tool gets Interface, Utilities. The Funology Body has a unique characteristic of giving intuitive and sensuous pleasure and reflection of users' attitude and taste for changing application flexibly.

This study addresses the effective utilization of film music as learning material for language, target culture, and ethics education. Music is intertwined with language and culture, and even with ethics. This study focuses on the potential power of film music in the processes of teaching and learning in a classroom. For this purpose, five songs are selected from the soundtrack of Disney's famous animation The Lion King: "Circle of life", "I just can't wait to be king", "Be prepared", "Hakuna Matata", and "Can you feel the love tonight?", and concrete learning activities are suggested based on these. Using these five songs, gap-filling and singing-recoding tasks are proposed as listening and speaking activities respectively. Film music is also very useful in learning vocabulary, sentence structure, and grammar. Learners participate in a writing activity involving creating their own lyrics for the tunes reflecting their experiences. Next, for culture education, a teacher asks their students to discuss about, and be aware of, food culture using a specific character's song. Finally, for ethics education, a philosophy of life, natural logic, leadership qualities, and the motto Hakuna Matata("no worries") are explored and discussed through an analysis of the lyrics. The open-ended questionnaire survey is conducted. The result shows that music has a positive effect on culture and ethics education. Film music can be effective in learning a second language, target culture, and ethics.

The aim of this study is to investigate the qualities for the reading education professionals and to suggest a training program of reading education professionals through comparing our educational programs for training of reading education professionals with those of U.S and Japan. The training program of reading education professionals in U.S is composed of Pedagogy and English language subjects and it emphasizes on literacy instruction. However, in Japan they make much account of the academic system of reading education and emphasize on various reading activities and the neighboring knowledge related with reading education. In our country, the program is composed with Korean language subjects concentrated on reading and comprehension. The training program of reading education professionals should consider three factors of reading such as readers, reading materials and reading professionals. It should include theory and philosophy and emphasize on educational experience and practice. It also should cover the neighboring knowledge related with reading education.
