A fault location algorithm using iterative method at unbalance conditions for distribution feeder systems (불평형시 반복추정기법을 이용한 배전계통 고장점 표정 알고리즘)

  • This paper presents a fault location algorithm using iterative method at unbalance condition for distribution feeder systems. Distribution feeders include single phase and three phase laterals. The proposed algorithm achieves a high accuracy by continuously updating voltage and current phasor using the phase components and admittance load model.

  • In this paper, The characteristics of the new superconducting maglev system which has quadruple armature windings is examined. This system can generate guidance force and levitation force as well as propulsion force by single ground coil. The time-domain analysis method and phasor analysis method are derived to analyze the characteristics of the proposed system. From the numerical examples for two kind of armature winding configurations, it is shown that the levitation force and guidance force can be generated by single armature winding of the linear synchronous motor without any other ground coils for levitation and guidance, and that double layer configuration has better characteristics in the qualitive characteristics. like as efficiency, pulsation of the electromagnetic forces and drag ratio, than the single layer configuration.

  • Frequency is regarded as one of most important indices for the operating power systems. Several digital techniques for measuring frequency have been presented in the last decades. This paper proposes a design and implementation an adaptive scheme using phase angle difference calculation fort frequency measuring in power system. The advantages of the proposed technique are demonstrated by fault signals from EMTP simulation and user defined arbitrary signals by Excel program. The proposed technique is compared with the conventional methods. Performance teat results indicate that the proposed technique provides accurate measures in pretence of noise and harmonics and in case faults and is suitable for measurement near-nominal, nominal. and off-nominal frequencies. We can see that It will be useful in microprocessor based relays and digital metiers that need to measure power system frequency.

  • This paper describes the design of torsional oscillation controller in HVDC system using the universal SSR eigenvalue program. The suggested design procedures consist of three steps. Fist step is to identify the characteristics of AC system with torsional modes and HVDC system; then, to determine the control parameters of the suggested torsional oscillation controller (SSRStab) to compensate the phasor lagging due to rectifier controller. Finally, using time-domain simulation program verifies the designed parameters and determine the appropriate gain. The suggested method is simple to tune the parameters and effective to damp the least stable torsional oscillation mode.

  • Protective relay for transformer operates in general by comparing with the differential current and the restraint current. These kinds of currents are changed on magnitude and phasor during the fault according to winding type and vector group. This paper presents the differential and restraint currents and operational principle of differential protective relay for two-winding and three-winding transformer with graphical mode. It is developed using MATLAB for and educational purpose on engineer related in power system and protection in university and power utility including large factory.

  • The paper discussed various techniques for islanding detection and described in detail the working principles of ROCOF and vector shift relays. A simulator was used to investigate why the stability of both types of relays maybe affected by network and load switching, short-circuit faults and in the case of a ROCOF relay the loss of bulk generation or the tripping of a transmission feeder. Finally, to enhance the reliability of Loss of Mains protection, a new islanding detection technique based on a GPS synchronized phasor measurement system was proposed.

  • This paper concerns a three-phase self-excited induction generator used for autonomous power generation. It presents a robust control strategy which makes it possible to maintain the frequency quasi constant during the voltage regulation without any control loop on this variable. This strategy, which also prevents the machine disengagement, uses as power converter a simple dimmer. The obtained theoretical and/or numerical results are validated on a laboratory test bench that allows the analysis of this control law effectiveness.

  • It is necessary for the stabilized operation of the power system even if a severe condition in system operation takes place. There is the need to develop the intelligent Power grid Monitoring System. In this system, the PMU(Phasor Measurement Unit) measures the synchrophasor and transmits it to the PIDS(Power Infrastructure Defense System). The IEEE PC37.118 protocol defines the message format to implement the communication both the PMU and the PIDS. In this paper, We measure and analyze the network traffic from simulated the PMU to simulated the PIDS according to network routing. And, We present the finest network routing in developing the intelligent Power grid Monitoring System.

  • PMU로부터 전압, 전류 Phasor 정보를 실시간으로 취득하게 되면서 실시간으로 전압안정도를 감시하는 것이 가능하게 되었다. PMU 정보만을 이용하여 전압안정도를 감시하는 기술은 기존의 SCADA/EMS 데이터를 전혀 사용하지 않고도 매우 빠른 속도로 계통의 전압안정성을 판별해 낼 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 광역전압안정도를 감시하는 기술을 응용하여, 수도권 정보만을 사용하여 실시간으로 전압 안정도를 감시하는 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 기존의 방법보다 적은 수의 PMU를 필요로 하며, 대신에 계통데이터 중 선로임피던스를 필요로 한다. 본 방법을 검증하기 위하여 한전 실계통을 사용하도록 한다.

  • 현대의 전력회사들은 전력계통의 현재 운용상황을 파악하기 위하여 상태추정을 사용한다. 상태추정기는 계통 내 각 지점에서 측정된 전력이나 전압, 전류등의 데이터를 이용하여 반복연산을 수행함으로써 전력계통의 상태(voltage profile)를 추정한다. 이때, 모든 데이터는 동시에 측정이 되었다는 가정 하에 상태추정 연산에 이용되지만, 실제로 모든 데이터 측정의 동기성을 확보하는 것은 사실상 불가능하다. 최근 인공위성에 의해 동기화된 페이저 측정장치가 전력계통 운용에 사용되고 있으며 본 논문에서는 이렇게 이미 이용 가능한 페이저 측정 데이터를 상태추정에 이용하는 방법을 시도하였다. 위성에 의해 동기화된 페이저 측정데이터는 데이터 측정의 동기성 확보뿐만 아니라, 데이터의 정밀도 및 위상각의 직접적인 측정이라는 둥의 여러 가지 면에서 매우 효용성이 높은 데이터이다. 본 연구를 통해 개발된상태추정 프로그램은 IEEE 14모선 시험계통을 이용하여 그 타당성을 검증하였다.
