A Mechanism of CAS Client Personalization through separating CAS Service of Protocol A.1 on TTA.KO-07.0079 XCAS (TTA.KO-07.0079 XCAS 프로토콜 A.1의 CAS 서비스 분리를 통한 CAS Client 개인화 메커니즘)

  • CAS Client personalization means to issue CAS ID or Key for CAS service, which is Core Technology for CAS operation. Protocol A.1 on TTA.KR-07.0079 XCAS, stores CAS Client personalization data from CAS server in XCAS server, and transmits the personalization data by request of XCAS HOST for CAS Client personalization. However, this may increase Network Traffic and CAS Client image management in XCAS server. In this thesis, to complement this, CAS Client personalization is executed on CAS Server by separating CAS service field. Therefore this can distribute Image management and Network Traffic of XCAS server.

  • The apparel market is extremely competitive and thus apparel manufacturers should try to maximize consumer satisfaction with cost-efficient but consumer-oriented strategies. Personalized strategies considering each consumer's characteristics have to be developed. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of consumers' characteristics on personalization strategies of apparel brands. Investigating personalization based on consumers' values and demographic characteristics will allow apparel manufacturers to attract target consumers. A survey method was used for the empirical study. Questionnaires from 420 respondents were analyzed using factor analysis, cluster, t-test, and ANOVA. The results indicated a significant influence of consumer values on customer service-related aspects of personalization. Female consumers demanded product- and information-oriented factors of personalization. Age, residential area, and clothing expense also had significant influence on the need for personalization of apparel shopping.

  • The dissemination of smartphones is being spread and supplementary services using smartphones are increasing and various as the Mobile network and device are developing rapidly, so smartphones that enables to provide a wide range of services is expected to receive the most attention. It makes users listen to music anytime, anywhere in real-time, use useful applications, and access to Internet to search for information. The service environment is changing on PC into Mobile due to the change of the circumstance mentioned above. these services are done by using just location information rather than other context, and users have to search services and use them. It is essential to have Context-aware technology for personalization recommendation services and the appropriate representation and definition of Context information for context-aware. Ontology is possible to represent knowledge freely and knowledge can be extended by inferring. In addition, design of the ontology model is needed according to the purposes of utilization. This paper used context-aware technologies to implement a user personalization recommendation service. It also defined the context through OWL modeling for user personalization recommendation service and used inference rules and inference engine for context reasoning.

  • Recently Micro-blog service is used quickly in our life with dissemination of Smart-phone. This study performed based on a view that there is a difference of user's intention to reuse Web-blogs & Micro-blogs. This study also based on the existing motive theory for using which considers five factors-information, entertainment, interaction, personalization, and convenience. The AMOS structure equation used for the analysis of users' revisit intention. The results of the study shows that Micro-blogs are influenced by entertainment, personalization, and convenience. On the other hand, Web-blogs are influenced by entertainment, and personalization.

  • As the highly improved Internet and information technology has led to the diversification of users' demands, personalization service attract lots of attention as a means to meet highly diversified demand of users. However, personalization service costs a lot. Also concerns over a possible violation of privacy have been raised since the service uses technology to find out the users' profiles. This research studies the advantages individuals acquire from personalization service and how privacy concern influences service acceptance. Research on related documents and information gathering from e-commerce sites derived six representative types of service. Questionnaires were utilized to research privacy concern according to services, service usefulness, and service acceptance. As expected, privacy concern has a negative relation to acceptance while service usefulness has a positive relation to it, thereby resulting in an offset between two variables. Moreover, they play a different role depending on what kinds of service or in formation should be provided. The results derived from this paper will help the e-commerce sites provide personalization service by collecting personal information while protecting users' privacy.

  • The goal of this paper is to develop a system which provides infotainment services for the healthy life of the elderly. First, we define the infotainment services for the elderly, and then determine the infotainment contents and categories related to the infotainment service. In order to provide the infotainment service, we define several modules as follow: user representation, contents generation, contents personalization, provision and learning manager. Finally we develop a pilot system which is based on the proposed framework.

  • There are flourishing studies in the acceptance or usage of information systems literature. Most of them have taken the pro - acceptance view. Undesirably, information technologies often provoke users' reactance or resistance. This paper explores one of the negative reactions -psychological reactance. The present paper studies the effects of the users' perception of threatened freedom and personalization degree on intention to use recommendation services. High personalization can be a major motivation for users to accept recommendation systems. However recommendation services are a two-edged sword, which not only provides users the efficiency of decision making but also poses threats to free choice. When people consider that their freedom is reduced or threatened by others, they experience the motivational state to restore the freedom. This motivational state must be considered in understanding usage of information systems, especially personalized services which are designed for persuasion or compliance. This paper empirically investigates the effect of personalization and the psychological reactance on the intention to use information systems in the personalized recommendation context. Users' perception of personalization increases the usefulness of recommendation service while their perception of threat to freedom reduces the intention to use personalized recommendation service. Findings and implications are discussed.
