개인용 컴퓨터를 이용한 전개도 작성에 관한 연구 (Constructing the Development of Solids by Personal Computer)

  • A data structure representing 3-D objects was designed for the personal computer. It is very simple to be used in the personal computers which have small memory and low speed. A homogeneous transformation for developing 3-D objects was derived. Each developing procedure consists of five transformations : one translational-three rotational-one translational. Developing a solid is a creative work. So the results of developing vary with the order of surfaces to be developed. One method to reduce the length of seam was considered. The programs used in this study were written in Pascal and Assembly and a modeller that generates 3-D primitives was included. This program is an interactive dual-screen system. While all the menus in Korean are displayed at the monochrome monitor, the development figures with projective views are drawn at the color monitor. The program has wide applications for plate works.

Proactive Task Execution Using Data Sharing and Event Transition among Personal Devices

  • This paper proposes an intelligent technique for data sharing and event transition among personal devices including smart phones, laptops, and desktops. We implemented the PES (Personal Event Service) system that proactively executes appropriate tasks across multiple devices without explicit user requests by sharing the data used by the user and recognizing user intention based on the observed actions of the user for specific devices. The client module of PES installed on each device monitors the user actions and recognizes the intention of the user. The server provides data sharing and maintenance for clients. The connection between client and server is established by Java RMI (Remote Method Invocation). A series of experiments were performed to evaluate user satisfaction and system accuracy, and the results showed that the PES system can proactively provide appropriate, personalized services with a high degree of satisfaction to the user in an effective and efficient manner.

데스크톱 가상화에 따른 디지털콘텐츠 통제방안: 가상폴더방식의 구현사례 (Digital Contents Control for Desktop Virtualization: A Case of Virtual Folder Based Implementation)

  • Recently, with the enlargement of cloud computing, virtual desktop infrastructure(VDI) can be an alternative of the existing personal computer based information environment. For the case of partially introduced VDI coexisting with personal computer environment, we suggest a virtual folder based approach to control the overall digital contents within an organization with a case of implementation. Although a centralizing device was used for storage and sharing of organization's digital contents, it was not easy to accomplish centralizing digital contents completely. It is tried to prevent users from utilizing their own storage in their personal computers or virtual machines and to use virtual folder which transfer and store digital contents to and in EDMS. The virtual folder system of this paper looks like a real folder in a personal computer, but it is another virtual device for outer storage devices including EDMS. It can be an alternative and reference of digital contents control for future applications of cloud computing.

  • 개인형 컴퓨터 시대의 도래로 컴퓨터 산업은 새로운 전환기를 맞이하였다. 기존의 산업구조는 메인프레임 컴퓨터 시대인 수직적으로 통합된 기업들에 의해 확실히 구분할 수 있는 경계가 존재하였고 기업 독자적으로 완전한 시스템을 생산하였으며 하드웨어, 운영체제 및 운영체제 프로그램에 대한 독자적인 설계에 근거하여 산업내 이 세가지 분야에 대해서 경쟁하였다. 따라서 시장의 경계가 뚜렷한 독점적인 산업구조를 유지함에 따라 경쟁보다는 정적인 시장 점유와 호환성보다는 독자적인 시장 개척에만 초점을 맞추었다. 그러나 개인형 컴퓨터시대의 도래로 부품의 표준화와 개방체제로 산업이 형성됨에 따라 공급자간 가격경쟁이 심화되고 자유 경쟁체제를 전환되면서 새로운 산업구조의 변환기를 맞이하여 소 산업별 수평적 분화현상이 발생하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 현상을 분석하고 수평구조하에서의 바람직한 산업 구조의 모형을 제시하고자 한다.

용광로 연소대 관리시스템 개발 (Development of combustion zone monitoring system for a blast furnace)

  • A prototype of combustion zone monitoring system as been developed and installed into tuyeres of the blast furnace. The system consists of CCD(charge coupled device) cameras, sonic flow meters, an image processor and a personal computer. The personal computer collects raceway luminance data and operational data from the image processor that is connected to the color CCD camera from the blast furnace process computer, respectively. In addition, the sonic flow meters supply coal injection rate data to the personal computer. Then, the personal computer evaluates the combustion conditions with the raceway inspection algorithm. This integrated monitoring system allows us to detect abnormal raceway conditions and the clogging status of coal injection pipe. The image processing techniques of the system enable us to effectively monitor unburnt coal sticking to tuyere tip and injection lance wear conditions. Such a developed system ensures rapid and precise raceway inspection. The image processing capability of the system has helped operator to early detect both the unburnt coal sticking problem and the errosion problem of injection lance. Furthermore, the system could control the abnormal raceway condition based the the analysis results obtained from combustion monitoring.

i-PIN 서비스를 활용한 인증 서비스 구현 (Implementation of Personal Certification Using i-PIN Service)

  • 기존 인터넷 웹 사이트에서는 개인을 식별하는 방법으로 주민등록번호를 사용해 왔다. 그러나 인터넷에서의 주민등록번호 사용은 개인정보 유출 위험을 증가시키는 주요인이 되고 있다. 현재 정부에서는 인터넷에서 주민등록번호 수집과 개인정보 유출을 방지하고자 다양한 정보 보호 서비스를 권장하고 있다. 이 중 인터넷상에서 주민등록번호 사용을 최소화를 위해 권장하는 서비스가 i-PIN 서비스이다. 그러나 i-PIN은 인터넷에서주민등록번호 수집을 대체 할 수는 있으나, 개인을 식별하는 유일한 키로 사용하기에는 한계점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 i-PIN을 개인인증서로 사용하여 인터넷 웹 시스템 접속 시 본인을 인증하는 웹 시스템 구성을 제안한다. 또한, i-PIN 서비스가 웹 시스템과 연계되어 개인인증서로 사용 시의 실용성과 안정성을 성능평가로 확인하였다. 그러나 i-PIN 서비스는 i-PIN 제공 본인확인기관에 장애가 발생되면 서비스 지원이 불가능해 진다. 이 불편을 해결하고자 i-PIN 본인확인기관의 장애 대처 방안도 제안한다.

  • A system using a personal computer has been developed for Polymerase Chain Reaction, an amplifying process of specific DNA. This system is composed of software and hardware which contains a control system, a heating and cooling system, a multichannel A/D converter, and a personal computor. The software is programmed'in assembly'and basic language. The newly developed PCR system which is controlled by the program of the personnal computor can be applied 1.o the amplification of various DNA. This system was tested by using Mycobacterium tuberculosis DNA and showed the DNA band on the UV transilluminator.

  • 개인건강관리를 위해 PHD(Personal Health Device)로 부터 제공되는 개인 생체정보는 사생활 보호 측면에서 볼 때 개인의 생체와 관련한 매우 민감한 정보이며 환자를 가정할 때, 이것이 제 3자에게 노출되는 경우는 더욱 심각하다. 그러나 이번에 ISO에서 제정된 표준 프로토콜[1]의 경우, 개채 상호간에 생체 정보 교환을 위한 전송 부분만을 고려한 규격일 뿐 보안에 대한 요소는 전혀 고려되고 있지 않은 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 u-헬스 환경에서 개인건강관리를 위한 각종 보안 위협과 보안 요구사항에 대해 새롭게 제안하고자 한다.

  • By development of a robot technology, personal robot is being developed very actively. Various infra-technologies are accumulated in hardware and software how by internal a lot of research and development efforts, and it is circumstance that actual commodity is announced. But, personal robot is applied to be acting near human, and takes charge of safety and connected directly a lot of works of home security, gas-leakage, fire-warning facilities, or/and etc. So personal robot must do safe and stable action even if any unexpected accidents are happened, important functions are always operated. In this paper, we are wished to show design structures for supporting fault-tolerant operation from our real-time robot middleware viewpoint. Personal robot, in being developed, was designed by module structure to do to interconnect and to interoperate among each module that is mutually implemented by each research facilities or company. Also, each modules can use appreciate network system that is fit for handling and communicating its data. To guarantee this, we have being developed a real-time network middleware, for especially personal robot. Recent our working is to add and to adjust some functions like connection management, distributed routing mechanism, remote object management, and making platform independent robot application execution environment with self-moving of robot application, for fault-tolerant personal robot.

  • 컴퓨터산업은 일반적으로 청정분야로 알려져 있다. 그러나 컴퓨터는 납, 카드뮴, 수은, 6가 크롬, 프라스틱 등과 같은 고도의 유해물질로 구성되어 있다. 이 논문은 PC에 포함되어 있는 위험물질의 양을 추정하고, 구식 PC의 처리방법인 소각, 매립, 재활용의 문제점을 제시하였다. 또한 e-waste의 해결방안인 EPR가 소개되었다.
