This study was performed to compare the educational needs of the families of the hospitalized children with respiratory problems and the degree of nurses' educational performances perceived by the families. The subjects consisted of 120 families with respiratory infected children in one university- affiliated hospital in Daegu. Data were collected through self-report questionnaires which were developed to investigate the educational needs of the families of the hospitalized children with respiratory problems and nurses' educational performances perceived by the families. The data were analyzed by an SPSS program. The results were as follows: 1. Among the educational needs of the families, the item of the diagnostic test was ranked as the highest one. Among the degree of nurses' educational performances perceived by the families, the item of the diagnosis was ranked as the highest one. 2. The educational needs of the families were very high, but the degree of nurses' educational performances perceived by families was relatively low. 3. The educational needs of the families were not influenced by the general characteristics of the subjects. These results suggest that the educational needs of the families was different to the degree of nurses' educational performances perceived by the families of the hospitalized children with respiratory problems. Therefore the nursing education program should be based on the educational needs of the families.

Induction motors are known to cause voltage dip, oscillating torque and inrush current on the dynamic period. To compensate for these undesirable effects, the prediction of dynamic performances is required. The dynamic performances are determinated by circuit time constants. From this point of view, in this paper, the dynamic equivalent circuit included only three time-constant parameters are presented. To predict more simply dynamic performances, the new characteristics time constant parameters are analyzed, and now these parameters are described as the function of circuit time constants. This paper reviews and analyzes the use of series capacitance compensations, and the use of this analysis can make simply a prediction about oscillating conditions.

Performances of variable sampling interval(VSI) multivariate control charts with accumulate-combine approach for monitoring mean vector of p related quality variables were investigated. Shewhart control chart is also proposed to compare the performances of CUSUM and EWMA charts. Numerical comparisons show that performances of CUSUM and EWMA charts are more efficient than Shewhart chart for small or moderate shifts, and VSI chart is more efficient than fixed sampling interval(FSI) chart. We also found that performances of the CUSUM or EWMA chart with accumulate-combine approach are substantially efficient than those of Shewhart chart.

The korean high speed train (350km/h), composed of 7cars that are 2 power cars, 2 motorized car and 3 trailer cars, has been developed and is under on-line test. To verify the design requirements about the functions and traction performances of this train, KRRI(Korea Railroad Research Institute) decided to evaluate traction performances of the train during on-line test. For this purpose, such as torque, velocity, voltage and current, must be measured. KRRI has developed the measurement system that can be measured vast and various signals effectively. In this paper, we introduce traction performances of korean high speed train. The traction measurement items are focused on the verification of motor block performances. Motor block are consist of 2 motor. For this test, we verified traction performances of korean high speed train.

Many researchers have studied to investigate causes of volatility and they have used macro economic variables. This paper defined the volatility as that of stock. Researches on the volatility of stock and corporate performances are not adequate yet. Therefore, this paper estimate the volatility and corporate performances using ROA and Tobin Q. Results show the following suggestions, first, there is negative effect on the volatility of stock when we use ROA as the corporate performances. Second, there is positive effect on the volatility of stock when we use Tobin Q as the corporate performances.

This study was motivated by the attempt to examine from versatile viewpoints the structural relationship between industrial environment, technology orientation and performances which are all factors related to technical innovation of small and medium-sized companies. In this regard, a survey was conducted to investigate the late industrial environment that could have direct and indirect impacts on the technology orientation of small and medium industry and, based on the survey, an analysis was carried out to determine the effects of its technology orientation on the performances in the technological innovation and management. The outcomes of the analysis could be summed up as follows: First, the factors of technology orientation turned out to have influence on those of industrial environment, which suggests the needs for the small and medium industry to consider the factors of industrial environment at multiple levels. Second, the technology orientation was found to influence the performances of technology innovation and management of small and medium industry in a structural manner, which signifies that the small and medium sized companies have to make strategic decision about the preference in the area of technology innovation and management performances.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate if purchasing companies' efforts of supplier development activities to supplier companies have positive impacts on the purchasing companies' performance as the first step. In the second step, we tried to confirm if the concept of Supply Chain Corporate Social Responsibility activities and Coexistence activities take the roles of moderate variable on relationship between supplier development and three performances respectively. Methods: The collected data through survey were analysed using multiple regression for the first step of the study and moderate regression for the second one of it. Results: The results of this study are as follows; supplier development efforts effect on all three performances positively. Moreover, Supply Chain CSR has significant moderate effect on relationship between supplier management and corporate performances, while Coexistence does between supplier management and logistics performances. In the case of relationship between supplier management and production performances, both Supply Chain CSR and Coexistence show significant moderate effect. Conclusion: Manufacturing companies in Korea need to make effort of supplier development in selective way when they want to practice Supply Chain CSR and Coexistence concurrently considering strategies and objectives.

In a reciprocating compressor, highly impulsive pressure fluctuations induced by a reciprocating piston give rise to serious noise and vibration problems. A muffler is frequently used to reduce this impulsive noise, but also has adverse effects on compressor performance due to additional pressure drop and heat transfer of refrigerants through it. Therefore, the flow and acoustic performances of mufflers used in a compressor should be considered simultaneously. In this study, both of flow and acoustic performances of mufflers are investigated using computational fluid dynamic techniques by solving full three-dimensional compressible Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes equations. For validation purpose, the numerical method is initially applied to predict the transmission loss of a simple expansion muffler, and its predicted results show good agreements with theoretical and experimental results. Then, the flow and acoustic performances of an existing muffler is numerically investigated. On the basis of the analysis results, a new muffler is purposed and its performances are compared with the existing one. Improved performances of the new muffler are confirmed.

This study examines the history of string quartet performances and analyzes contemporary integrated performances to propose a new performance paradigm for future audiences. It examines past developments and audience interactions, and how modern classical performance can gain a competitive edge internationally through tech integration. Building on this foundation, a future vision is proposed for Korean string quartet performances, drawing from novel performances that are interconnected with their historical context. The study concludes that modern string quartets necessitate innovative and original performance directions that can be achieved through various technological integrations.

The purpose of this study is to analyze musical performances with the use of performance booking information from 2017 to 2019 which was obtained in Korea performing Arts Box Office Information system (KOPIS), and to make suggestions of Korean musical performances. Based on the data of KOPIS, relevant studies, internet based information, news articles, and magazines, musical performances were analyzed. In addition, the previous data of KOPIS and the data of the Broadway League were analyzed. The analysis results are as follows. Firstly, it is necessary to concentrate on Korean mid-sized theatre musical performances. Secondly, producers need to open their production costs invested in performances transparently. Thirdly, Off-Broadway system needs to be introduced after being modified in consideration of Korean situations. Thirdly, it is necessary to make long-run performances in order to achieve commercial success. Fifthly, it is necessary to make a bold attempt of theatre for performances just as in Broadway.
