  • This research explores the application of the bootstrap methods to the construction of control limits for the x charts and the EWMA charts based on single observations with stationary autoregressive processes. The subsample means-based control chars in the presence autocorrelation are also considered. We use a technique for inferring confidence intervals using bootstrap, the percentile method. Simulation studies are conducted to compare the performance of the bootstrap method and that of standard method for constructing control charts under several conditions.

  • The Korean Anthropometric Survey (Size Korea) is a sample survey which estimates on percentiles of several dimensional measurements of the human body arid its component parts. The purpose of this study is to design a sample, which is designed on the base of 1997 survey database. Two different methods are considered to get the sample size for estimating the 5th and 95th percentile of body dimensions of Korean age range 0-80 years.

  • In this paper, we propose a new algorithm that improves the lossless data compression rate. The proposed algorithm lessens the redundancy and improves the compression rate evolutionarily around 40 up to 80 percentile depending on the characteristics of binary images used for compression. In order to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method, the comparison between the proposed method and the LZ78 (LZ77) is demonstrated through experimental results theoretical analysis.

  • In this paper, the problem for choosing design points in the two dimensional case is condidered. In the one dimensional case, given the design density function, we can choose design points using the quantile function. However, in the two dimensional case, there is no clear definition of the percentile. Therefore, the idea of choosing design points in the univariate case can not be applied directly to the two dimensional case. We convert this problem into an optimization problem using the Voronoi diagram.

  • Using the normalized sample Lorenz curve which is introduced by Kang and Cho (2001), we propose the test statistics for testing of normality that is very important test in statistical analysis and compare the proposed test with the other tests in terms of the power of test through by Monte Carlo method. The proposed test is more power than the other tests except some cases

For these purpose a survey was conducted using questionaires on 225 males 299 females that lived in Seoul. Statistics used for data were Frequency. Prequency. Percentile Mean Multiple Regression Analysis and Path Analysis. The major findings were: 1) I male Group reference orientation were effect on convenience experience credience goods and information search were effect on experience credience goods. 2) In Femal Group her job and information search effect on convenience experience credience goods and involvement effect on credience goods only.

  • The purpose of this study is to find the role structure of the family in each step of he purchasing decision-making on 11 items of commodities. The data collected through the questionnaire and 600 respondents were the married men and women in Seoul. The 554 data were analyzed using Frequency Percentile Means and Correspondence analysis. As the results the wives role was the greatest of all in the families role. But in practice regarding costly goods housing or car husbands' role was greater than wives' role. Children indirectly had influence on parents' decision-making especially regarding a computer.

  • This paper proposes a weighted least squares support vector machine for asymmetric least squares regression. This method achieves nonlinear prediction power, while making no assumption on the underlying probability distributions. The cross validation function is introduced to choose optimal hyperparameters in the procedure. Experimental results are then presented which indicate the performance of the proposed model.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the price-quality satisfaction focus on clothing. For the purpose, a survey was conducted using questionnaires. Frequency distribution, Percentile, Mean , One-Way ANOVA , Scheffe test, t-test, were used for data analysis. The main result are as follows. First, in general the price-quality satisfaction was somewhat high. Second, the price quality satisfaction was influenced by social economic variables (age , income, education) consumer attitude, and market environment.
