The finite element modeling of small female occupant for crash simulation is presented in this paper subsequently to the part I of articulated rigid body model. The limbs and internal components are additionally modeled by joining them to the articulated rigid body model for predicting the crash injuries such as bone fractures and joint dislocations. The behavioral characteristics of each limbs and internal components were validated against available cadaveric test results. Accordingly, the human model proposed in this paper could be utilized for the investigation of impact injury mechanism and further complement the lacking biofidelity of current crash dummy.

This paper considers model robust accelerated life test plans for estimating the logmean or percentile of product lige which is exponentially distributed. A linear relationship between the log mean life and the stress is assumed as usual, while the true relationship is quadratic. Optimum plans are then obtained by minimizing asymptotic mean squared error of maximum likelihood estimator of the log mean life.

Five equating methos for elective subjects of College Scholastic Ability Test were analyzed under a common-items nonequivalent groups design using a real data set of 110 thousand examinees. Five methods were (a)two-stage linear equating (b) two-stage equi-percentile equating (c) Tucker equating (d) Frequency estimation equating and (e)Braun-Holland equating. The results indicated that Frequency estimation equating fits well and two-stage linear equating produces most different equating results from the Frequency estimation equating.

In this study, we analysed impacts of the recent increasing trend of exceedance rainfall thresholds for separation of data set and different research periods using Quantile Regression (QR) approach. And also we performed significant test for time series data using linear regression, Mann-Kendall test and Sen test over the Korean major 8-city. Spring and summer precipitation was tend to significant increase, fall and winter precipitation was tend to decrease, and heavy rainy days in last 30 years have increased from 3.1 to 15 percent average. In addition, according to the annual ranking of rainfall occurs Top $10^{th}$ percentile of precipitation for 3IQR (inter quartile range) of the increasing trend, most of the precipitation at the point of increasing trend was confirmed. Quantile 90% percentile of the average rainfall 43.5mm, the increasing trend 0.1412mm/yr, Quantile 99% percentile of the average rainfall 68.0mm, the increasing trend in the 0.1314mm/yr were analyzed. The results can be used to analyze the recent increasing trend for the annual maximum value series information and the threshold extreme hydrologic information. And also can be used as a basis data for hydraulic structures design on reflect recent changes in climate characteristics.

Purpose: It is very important to establish the appropriate reference range in the laboratory for preventing mistakes like false positive or false negative. Because the reference range in the laboratory is standard of patient test results interpretation. Proinsulin is precursor hormone of insulin, and the importance is increasing for diagnosing diabetes or insulinoma. Proinsulin reagent used in our laboratory is produced in the USA, and the reference range provided by manufacturer was adapted to our reference range after the validation test. But, it is generally recommend for the every laboratory to establish the their own reference range. So, we decided to re-evaluate the reference range with our patients' test results. Materials and Methods: Among 737 patients who had been to health promotion center in our hospital between Dec. $8^{th}$ 2011 and Dec. $21^{st}$ 2011, 563 patients are chosen with exception of diabetics patients and patients showing abnormal test results in Fasting Glucose, HbA1c, Insulin, and C-peptide. The 563 test results (275 males and 288 females) were classified with three groups(entire, male, female), and analysis of normal distribution was performed with aid of SPSS(version 19.0). Because Each group didn't show normal distribution, the reference range was set from the lowest limit of 2.5% to the highest limit of 97.5% with Percentile method used in non-normal distribution. Results: When evaluation values are sorted in ascending order, the entire range is 4.5~52.0 pM and 5.3~51.9 pM for male and 4.5~52.0 pM for female. The calculated reference range with percentile method shows 6.7~26.5 pM for entire group, 6.8~26.5 pM for male and 6.7~26.5 pM for female, respectively. Conclusion: The reference range provided by reagent manufacturer is 6.4~9.4 pM and the one established in this study is 6.7~26.5 pM. This difference might be caused by racial characteristics between Western people and Koreans. So an ideal reference range can be gotten with normal population visiting to every hospital. Our hospital has been using the newly re-establishing reference range under consultation with the department of endocrinology since Aug. $1^{st}$ 2012.
Objectives: In this study, perception of body image, eating attitudes and weight control were examined by the degree of obesity using Body Mass Index (BMI). Methods: Out of 420 questionnaires distributed to the female middle school students (aged 12-16 years), 407 were returned (97% response rate) and 395 were analyzed (94% analysis rate). Female students were divided into two groups based on the BMI percentile using the 2007 Korean National Growth Charts. (1) normal weight ($5^{th}$ percentile ${\leq}$ BMI < $85^{th}$ percentile) (2) obese ($85^{th}$ percentile ${\leq}$ BMI) by 2007 Korean National Growth Charts. Satisfaction of self-body shape, risk of disturbed eating attitudes (Eating Attitude Test : EAT-26), and weight control behaviors were examined. Results: Distribution of the subjects by BMI was 74.5% of normal and 25.5% of obese. There were significant differences between self-perceived current body image and self-perceived ideal body image. The dissatisfaction of body image was higher in obese than in normal groups (p<0.001). 51.4% of female students were unsatisfied with their body image, while 2.6% were very satisfied. Among the students unsatisfied with their body image, 150 (52.1%) were of normal weight and 48 (49.4%) were obese. EAT-26 total scores were significantly higher in the obese group ($16.42{\pm}8.23$) compared with normal group ($13.72{\pm}8.10$) (p<0.01). Attempted to weight control were significantly different by the BMI (p<0.001). Conclusions: This study concludes that there was desire to become thinner than current status in female students, even those with normal BMI. Many female students were dissatisfied with their body image and attempted to lose weight. It is harmful to their health and nutritional status if they choose undesirable methods. These findings suggested that there are needs to encourage female students for maintaining healthy weight. A higher score of EAT-26 was associated with dissatisfaction of selfbody image and this may lead to unhealthy behaviors in obese female students.
Currently. exchanges of industrial workers between countries are more active than ever. and the problem of AIDS in connection with the operation of preventive educational programs has reached a point where the issue cannot be limited to native people alone any more. Based on such judgement. this research has been carried out to provide basic study materials by grasping the latent factors representing the difference between countries in the levels of right knowledge. attitude and behavior with respect to AIDS maintained by workers who have grown in different social and cultural living background. During the period from Apr. 1. 1995 to Jun. 30. questionnaires. written both in Korean and English, were distributed to Korean and Malaysian employees working at certain Korean video manufacturers. and the results of replies. given by 80 workers who were analyzed through matched sampling· method where ages and sex matched by country. were used as the research materials. The gathered materials were analyzed through the SPSS package t-test. ANOVA. factor analysis and multiple stepwise regression methods. and the following results were obtained. 1. The 2 extracted latent factors could be named 'common. social' knowledge factor and 'in-depth. psychological' knowledge factor respectively. 2. The percentile points of 'external. social' knowledge factor. in the case of Korean workers. howed 90.0 at average. a figure 13.75 points higher than those of Malaysian workers. 76.25. On the other hand. the percentile points of the 'in-depth. psychological'knowledge factor showed 70.80 at average in the case of Korean workers. a figure 7.47 points lower than those of Malaysian workers. 78.33. Meanwhile. the difference in percentile points between the 2 latent factors was 8.54 at average. indicating that the points of 'in-depth. psychological' knowledge factor was lower than those of the 'external. social' knowledge factor. 3. As for Korean workers. the percentile points of the 'in-depth. psychological' knowledge factor showed higher points in office workers than in non-office workers. and such variables exhibited in the position of workers can explain the $7\%$ of the latent factor. The percentile points of the 'in-depth. psychological' knowledge factors. in the case of Malaysian workers. showed higher points in groups who had religion than in groups who did not. and higher points in groups who obtained information from newspapers than in groups who obtained from televisions or other sources; and with these 2 variables. $26\%$ of this latent factor can be explained. The results. of analysis described so far suggest that while Korean workers possessed general level of knowledge on AIDS. they had low level of practical knowledge as far as its depth is concerned. and that they had social prejudice on patients as well as on the AIDS infection route. In addition. because the overall knowledge level of Malaysian workers. is lower than that of Korean workers. it suggests that separate programs intended for Malaysian workers are required prior to executing integrated programs.

A survival variable is a nonnegative random variable X with distribution function F and a survival function (equation omitted)=1-F. This variable is said to be New Better than Used of specified age $t_{0}$ if (equation omitted) for all $\chi$$\geq$0 and a fixed to. We propose the test for $H_{0}$ : (equation omitted) for all $\chi$$\geq$0 against $H_1$:(equation omitted) for all $\chi$$\geq$0 when the specified age $t_{0}$ is unknown but can be estimated from the data when $t_{0}$=${\mu}$, the mean of F, and also when $t_{0}$=$\xi_p$, the pth percentile of F. This test statistic, which is based on a linear function of the order statistics from the sample, is readily applied in the case of small sample. Also, this test statistic is more simple than the test statistic of Ahmad's test statistic (1998). Finally, the performance of this test is presented.
The purpose of this study was to develop a behavior rating scale for the evaluation of children's development for utilization by preschool teachers. The procedures for the study included content validation, pilot test, and main study. A total of 97 items were retained after the content validation and pilot test. The items of the scale were grouped into five areas (physical, language, cognitive, emotional, and social development) and 11 sub-areas. The resulting "Behavior Rating Scale for Preschool Children" was administered to 479 boys and girls, 3-6 through 6-5 years of age, selected from 10 different kindergartens and early education centers in Seoul, Pusan, and Chonju. The analysis of data was done with SPSS computer programs, including item analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ for reliability, factor analysis to test construct validity, two-way ANOVA to test age and sex differences, and percentile norms. The 97 items of the scale were found to be satisfactory in terms of item discrimination with indices ranging from .31 to .73. Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ was .98 for the total scale and ranged from .87 to .93 in specific domains, which was considered satisfactory. The factors extracted from each area were consistent with the educational objectives of the Yonsei Open Education Program except for emotional development. The intercorrelations among the domains were relatively high, ranging from .56 to .81. Age differences were significant in cognitive, physical, and language development, but not significant in social and emotional development. Sex differences were significant in all areas with girls higher on the average than the boys. Percentile ranks were drived from the total score for each age group and quartiles were calculated for sub-scores in each domain.
