This study was conducted to search the health food intake behavioral intentions of male workers. The health-related behavior of 150 subjects were compared(smoke, alcohol drink, breakfast, BMI, sleep, exercise and health check). On the basis of the Theory of Planned Behavior, the factors health-food intake behavior were evaluated; there were normative beliefs, motivation for compliance, subjective norms, social influence factors, and barriers as perceived behavior control. The results were showed with five points by the Likert scale and Significance by t-test. The most frequently consumed health food was tea(3.40/4points) followed by healthy drinks(2.49/4). As behavioral beliefs, if consumption of 'nutritional supplements'(3.61/5) and 'fatigue recovery'(3.62/5) received the highest scores. As a result, the idea of 'nutritional supplements'(3.94/5) and 'fatigue recovery'(4.06/5) were the important aspects, but others were also positively evaluated. As a sub-factor of subjective norms on normative beliefs, The highest social groups to encourage consumption of health food were parents (3.93/5), and the lowest were doctors (3.02/5). The most influential people were doctors (3.67/5) and spouses (3.65/5). Barriers to consumption health food were side effects (1.09/5) and price (2.08/5). Taking Ginseng products and other processed foods (juice, honey, bamboo, etc.) were correlated with health concern (p<0.05). Taking traditional stamina foods was correlated with dietary habit recognition (p<0.05). Mineral intake was positively correlated with age. Healthy drinks was negative (p<0.05). Minerals and supplement consumption were correlated with the practice of healthy behavior (p<0.01).
The object of this study is to determine and prioritize the factors that affect job satisfaction and job continuity intention of an important media content provider group - TV/radio announcers. In this study, the determinant factors are classified as "internal" factors (i.e. career motivation and identity as a member of an organization) and "external" factors such as reputation and prestige. A survey was conducted among active announcers in Korea, and 106 responded. The data was processed by multiple regression analysis. The result showed that organizational identity affected the job satisfaction and job continuity intention most, and perceived external prestige affected least. In conclusion, announcer's job satisfaction and job continuity intention have more meaningful relationship with internal factors than with external factors.
This study aims to examine the life of Chugang Nam Hyo-On (1454~1492) from his Chinese poem and to figure out how he overcame and healed his agony and wound. Nam Hyo-On was one of the Saengyuksin who submitted Sureungbokuiso and spent his whole life with alcohol and wandering. Thus, he is known to be a hermit writer or stranger. He had to suffer poverty during his life thanks to his only one choice. He was weak by nature but also feeble mentally as he always worried about death. In his 30s, he regarded himself as an aged man and always worried about death due to his frequent illness. Sometimes, he used to dream of being forever young. He composed self-elegy poem that is about his death, which is the ever first self-elegy poem in our history. He sent it in his letter to his master Kim Jong Jik (1431-1492) in 1489. His agony and motivation of writing such poem can be conjectured from his master's reply and his self-elegy poem. Nam Hyo-On tried to overcome and heal his real discontent and wound from his literary works. And it seems appropriate to regard him that he attempted to get compensation of his limitation and discontent from literature. We sometimes heal our wound by writings (or literature) and by reflecting through such writings. Nam Hyo-On reminded of his beloved person through his poet writing and healed his fear of wound of death.

Objectives: This study was to develop a measurement scale that explains aggressive regulation behavior of middle school student, based on Ajzen's Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and verify its validity and reliability. Methods: The basic items were modified by selecting 41 items of middle school student aggressive behavior measurement scale. Through the content validity test, 63 first preliminary question items and 42 second preliminary question items were developed. The participants were 286 middle school students. The collected data were analyzed using content validity, correlation coefficient, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability and Cronbach α. Results: In this study, it was proved that the most important variable showing aggressive regulation behavior was aggressive regulation intention. This study was composed of 4 factors for direct measurement(attitude toward the behavior, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, behavior intention) and 5 factors for indirect measurement(behavioral beliefs, outcome evaluation, normative beliefs, motivation to comply, control beliefs). The total variance was 65.4% and 67.6%, respectively, and the reliability was .90, .82. Finally, 42 questions were developed. Conclusion: We found the questionnaire used in this study was valid and reliable as a measure scale to explain the aggressive regulation behavior of middle school student based on TPB. Therefore, it is concluded that the aggressive regulation behavior scale could be a useful scale for the measurement of the aggressive regulation behavior of middle school student.
This Study aims to propose a new information security governance model design method for streamlining security governance at national strategic level. The research method of this study is to diagnose our operational experience and to derive a new model design method. In the meantime, national information security activities were perceived to be focused on knowledge transfer, and motivation of activities and securing of executive power were weak. As a result, security blind spots and frequent occurrence of large security incidents have become unresolved challenges. National cyber security governance should be grouped together as a whole systematically from the upper policy to the lower level of performance under the responsibility of the national leader. Based on this approach, this study presented the comprehensive framework of Korean security governance model and embodied it into four architectural designs such as vision, goal, process, and performance, thus deriving the foundation for future national governance model design. Further research is needed to diagnose problems in life cycle flow, security policies based on environmental changes, and new frameworks in which all subjects participate.
The purpose of this study was to research Koreans western food experiences and the influence of sauce on food quality. Among 1,340 respondents, 660 were males and 680 femails in Daegu and Kyeongbuk area. The first part of this study was about their experiences on western foods. As the main motivation to visit western restaurants, 33.2% responded the facilities and atmosphere and 23.7% because they liked western foods. Family was the most common group of company with 33.5% of respondents when they visited the restaurants. In terms of monthly frequency, most of them (60.7%) visited 1~2 times a month. Taste of food was the main factor (34.0%) for choosing western foods. But taste of food was also the most common dissatisfaction with western foods for 36.2% of respondents. Price of foods was next (31.6%) and quality of waiter and waitress services was the third most common factor (13.6%). The second part of the study was an investigation of the influence of sauce on food quality. 35.0% of respondents tasted the sauce at the hotel restaurant. 40.5% of respondents indicated sauce influenced the image of the western foods and 40.9% indicated the level of the influence as substantial. In total, 81.4% of respondents answered that the quality of the quality of the sauce influenced the image of the western foods. In general, the influence of sauce on western food quality was perceived as a significant contributing factor with an average 4.00 on 5-point scale in 15 questionaires. Notably, the questionnaire, "The taste of the western food is improved mostly with sauce." ranked the highest with 4.45 on the 5-point scale.int scale.
This study investigated a 7-week summer science research apprenticeship program for gifted high school students in U.S. The purpose of the study was to examine the reasons why the high school student participated in the program, the students' perceptions on the benefits of the apprenticeship program, and to investigate mentors' perceptions on assessment and mentorship of the students' projects. For this study, laboratory works and group meetings were observed, students' journal and research products were analyzed, and interviews were administrated with student apprentices and some mentors. The result revealed that the main reasons of students' participation were to perform research with university professionals, to understand the scientific research, and to explore their college/career decisions. Students' participation was strongly associated with their internal motivation and interests. The students perceived the benefits of the apprenticeship program as providing them with the experience of the nature of real scientific research, of learning of scientific knowledge on the focus area, and wiser college/career decisions. Students' projects were assessed and guided through on-going interactions and cognitive apprenticeship between mentors and student apprentices.
The current study investigates whether artificially intelligent chatbots influence Korean EFL students' vocabulary learning. For eight weeks, 47 college students in Korea participated in this study. They were divided into two groups: one experimental group and one control group. Participants in the experimental group engaged in chat with a chatbot during the eight-week experimental period. Before and after the experiment, pre- and post-tests were administered to see if their English vocabulary improved. Pre- and post- surveys were also performed to understand how the participants perceived chatbot-assisted vocabulary learning. Results show that the experimental group improved their vocabulary skills as a result of engaging in chat with the chatbot. Also, their perceptions of vocabulary learning positively changed, increasing their motivation, interest, and confidence in English. Given that there have been few empirical studies to investigate the effects of chatbots on vocabulary development, the present study can provide insights on the effectiveness of chatbots.
The aim of this study is to highlight the importance of the correct food choices and nutrition management through nutrition labeling and provide basic data for building a nutrition labeling system for Korean restaurants. In the study, a survey was conducted from February 5th to February 27th in 2010 involving adults over the age of 20 living in part of the Gyeonggi-do area. The data was used to analyze the general characteristics, the awareness of nutrition labeling and the nutrition labeling contents by using the SPSS 18.0 package program. Among the 268 people surveyed, the total number of women was greater (60.4%) than men (39.6%). The perception of the necessity of nutrition labeling was a relatively high score of 3.99 on a 1 to 5 scale and the motivation to utilize nutrition labeling scored 3.89. The study found that females perceived nutrition labeling to be more important than did the males. In addition, the perception varied according to the level of education and age. In conclusion, since customers have a high demand for nutrition labeling in Korean restaurants and are motivated to utilize labeling when eating-out is relatively strong, labeling would be a good educational tool for leading a healthy food life. Furthermore, since the study found that differences occur between nutrition labeling contents or nutrients according to general characteristics, food service companies might be able to gain benefits through differentiated nutrition labeling that is catered for their main customers.
This study was conducted to analyze oral health conditions and behaviors of obese people over the age of 19 to identify relevant factors. Using the data of the 6th Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, 5,632 people were classified by body mass index(BMI). The relationship between drinking, smoking, and oral health status and behavior according to obesity index was analyzed by X2-test and logistic regression analysis. Results showed that men, 60s, low income, low education level and in marriage group were high in obesity. Obese people were related with higher prevalence of periodontal disease and perceived subjective oral health status to be worse. This study will contribute to the development of programs to improve oral health of obese adults. Therefore, it is necessary to induce motivation to improve oral health by regular education through development of customized oral education program for obese adults.
