The purpose of this paper is to establish an evaluation criteria for pavement condition in bicycle road. The suggested criteria would help in the activation policy of bicycle use. The conventional evaluation criteria is difficult to be applied for the bicycle road since the bicycle road is sensitive to changes in the driving environments such as obstacles and bumps. This study presents the evaluation criteria that is suitable for bicycle road. The criteria was suggested in 5 grades through the impact acceleration range of RMSI (Road Monitoring System using ICT). The grades of the criteria are divided into a range of grade A to E. The grade A is a very good condition, while the grade E is a state that requires immediate maintenance. This study were confirmed the validity through the survey of user's satisfaction. According to the results of survey, the grade A was shown correlation of 91%. The grade E requiring immediate repair was presented correlation of 94%. It showed that the results of surveying the bicycle road users are highly correlated with the suggested criteria for pavement condition. It showed that the criteria are highly correlated with the survey results. Suggested criteria using the RMSI is expected to be effective for maintenance of the bicycle road. In addition, it is expected to ensure the serviceability and safety for the bicycle users.

Pavement crack sealing method, which is one of the methods to maintain and repair the road, prevents the extending of cracks by repairing cracks in its early occurrence and has already been applied to many roadworks in advanced foreign country for a long time. But in the conventional crack sealing method, traffic accidents occur frequently during the repair because it's commonly performed on the heavy traffic road or highway. It also has some difficulties in securing the safety of workers from the risk of burns caused by heated sealant. In an effort to solve these problems, automated pavement crack sealing machines such as ARMM, OCCSM, TTLS have been developed in advanced foreign country since early 1990s. Also APCS in 2004 and ACSTM in 2013 were already developed domestically. However, since these automated crack sealers developed from a number of research institutions have different test-bed conditions and productivity measurement models, it's difficult to compare and evaluate them objectively. In this study, the image processing time of the respective machines and the movement time of each motion on the work process were estimated by using fully autonomous mapping and semi-automatic mapping in order to measure the productivity in the same environmental conditions. In addition, the productivity measurement test-bed reflected domestic road characteristics was designed to estimate and compare the productivity of the automated crack sealing machines.
In case of Korea highways, about 60% of highways are paved by concrete and more than 50% of them were repaired due to reduction in required performance such as damage in pave or joint and delamination of cover pavement. However, repairing old material in such structure generally costs a lot of money and induces difficulty in maintenance. Thus, enhanced material for ensuring economic efficiency should be developed. The present study designed concrete mixtures with 3 levels of replacement using OPC (0, 10, 20%) in calcium aluminate cement and to evaluate material performance for load pavement, experimental works for setting time, compressive strength and flexural strength were carried out on those materials. As a result, 20% replacement for OPC was determined as an optimized material in terms of required physical performance and its unit price. Moreover, to determine cost in load pavement economy analysis using a program (CA4PRS) was conducted with widely used paving materials. Result showed that application for 20% replacement for OPC was the most efficient in economical aspect, arising from 4.052 and 1.577 billion won for total construction and user cost, respectively.

Airfield pavements, such as runways and taxiways, are essential for smooth take-off and landing of fixed-wing aircraft and are the most important installation for the military to carry out air operations during wartime. Therefore, in wartime, it is necessary to reduce the damage to these installations and repair them in the shortest possible time. Recently, the pattern of attack is changing from the use of conventional high explosive which is to create large craters to the use of multiple warheads weapon system which is to effectively attack enemy's airfields but unrelated to accuracy. Hence in this study, through identifying the specification and composition of multiple warheads weapon system, we checked the protection performance and damage patterns of the pavement when explosion occurred on the installed military runway and taxiway by the multiple warheads weapon system. And The multiple warheads weapon systems is able to cause extensive damage but the destructive power of each warhead is not as great, so I would like to propose an airfield pavement design plan for minimal protection against such attacks.

The asphalt concrete pavement takes various advantages of better riding quality, serviceability and easier maintenance. At the same time, it addresses a weak point of the premature failures due to rapid increasement of traffic volume, heavy vehicles and high temperature in summer. It increases the expenditure of maintenance and repair. In order to improve the performance of asphalt pavement avoiding this premature failure, the use reinforcements with geosynthetics have been considered. Geosynthetics are known as an effective reinforcement to restrain fatigue and reflective cracks in asphalt pavements. In this study, a comprehensive parametric study is conducted to capture the efficiency of geosynthetic-reinforcements using viscoelastic properties of the asphalt concrete(AC) layer. The investigated parameters were reinforcement location, AC layer thickness, temperature distribution across the AC layer and modulus of AC and base layer. As a result of observations, that reinforced asphalt concrete could be used effectively for improving resistance against fatigue cracks and permanent deformation. Especially, when a geogrid was placed at the interface between the asphaltic base and the subbase, tensile stress in the horizontal direction was significantly reduced.

Various type of pavement deterioration such as crack, bumpy, pothole is rapidly increasing according to the accelerated environmental changes like heavy rainfall, frequent snowing, difference temperature, etc. Accident related to pothole that cause fatal traffic accidents has been increased more than five times over the next five years starting from 2008. As direct or indirect damage by pothole which caused injuries and car damages increases every year, quicker and more efficient management measures are necessary. This study presents the algorithm for materials quantity take-off. The algorithm was suggested by correlation in pothole size and area. Suggested algorithm were confirmed the validity through the 15 field survey in capital area. According to the results of survey, usually the residual materials at which 5~7 kg was generated decreased to 1~2 kg. It showed that automatic pothole detection system is expected not only to reduce materials and resources, but also to contribute to quality improvements of pavement through more accurate material take-off from the situation of constructing rely on their own judgement.

The prevent methods of Alkali-Silica Reaction (ASR) are studying after the failure cases by ASR were reported in Korea. When ASR failure is causing to the step of maintenance, the available repair methods were rarely studied in the World. In this study, premixed fly ash cement was applied to prevent ASR in the concrete pavement. The ratio of fly ash and cement is 20 percent and 80 percent by weight of total cementious material. The construction performance of premixed fly ash cementious concrete pavement was studied that the application is verify to performance collected data during the constructing in the field. The freeze-thaw test was studied to verify durability of the premixed fly ash cementious material made specimen in the laboratory. The results show that construction performance and durability are well condition in this test section and freeze-thaw test.

If slope height was more than 20 meters, we conducted an analysis of stereographic projection and limit equilibrium at this slope. We proposed reduction of slope face angle and reinforcement of rock bolt depending on analysis. Blasting design : Standard pattern based on result of local test blasting was made for blasting design. Vibration criterion was set for less than 3.0mm/s because of outworn buildings and inhabitants opinions. Production blasting and Controlled blasting has been done as Construction standard pattern. After Vibration Monitoring has been done, so that we can control of complement. "Bidding Document" and AASHTO 2001 "A Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets" were so for design criteria of earthwork but they were different actual design criteria and left something to be desired in Afghanistan. Therefore, although "Bidding Document" and "AASHTO 2001" were basic design criteria, domestic design criteria was reflected in this design criteria for complement by discussion with supervisor. Drainage design : For stability ratio, ditch of arch block and stonework was designed by rainfall data for the 13 years and discussion with supervisor. Pavement was designed as flexible pavement. Because these days in Afghanistan postwar repair works, especially urgent repairing of roads and newly making of roads, are very highly in progress, I think that Afghanistan is the region about which our construction technical experts should have great concerns.

This study developed a high strength and performance concrete pavement material with low shrinkage and reflection of sunlight. Based on the literature review, a new mix-design of applying flash ash to improve the strength and performance of the concrete as well as to reduce the dry shrinkage is suggested. In addition, adding black pigment to reduce the reflection and technique of applying OAG (Optimized Aggregate Gradation) is also included. The result of the laboratory experiment indicates that the brightness and the reflection, which depends on the ratio of black pigment addition, did not deviate from the normal range. When OAG is considered for the mix-design, the strength and performance of the concrete improved greatly. In addition, the mix-design using fly ash reduced the dry shrinkage of concrete and improved the resistance to the permeation of chloride ion. Furthermore, the mix-design, which uses fly ash (25% replacement) and black pigment (3% addition) with the application of OAG, is found to be the most effective mix to reduce the shrinkage and reflection as well as improving the strength and performance of the concrete. The result of an economic analysis indicates that the initial construction cost of this proposed mix is more expensive than that of normal concrete pavement material. However, it can be more economic in the long run because the normal concrete pavement material is likely to cost more due to higher probability of maintenance and repair and higher social cost due to traffic accident, etc.

The Royal Tomb of the Joseon Dynasty, which was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2009, is a cultural resource recognized for its 'outstanding universal value' around the world. The royal tomb of Joseon has been managed with an emphasis on the preservation of cultural assets since it was designated as a historical site in the 1970s, but it has received many visitors as a valuable historical and cultural resource and haven that connects the past and the present in today's bustling city. In order to investigate and analyze the current status of pavements in the royal palace in terms of quality and quantity, and to suggest the direction of improvement, this study conducted a complete survey of 53 royal palace viewing roads in 18 regions, and the results are as follows. First of all, problems are found in both the early Masato pavement of the creation, which was introduced with an emphasis on the preservation and protection of cultural assets, and the hardening pavement(KAP), which began to be used in the 1990s for the convenience of maintenance. In other words, the Masato pavement used to create a more environmentally friendly atmosphere of the Joseon royal tombs is showing a high percentage of use, but it lacks support for walking activities, such as the slippage of the pavement and water pooling during the rainy season or during the ice season. Also, hardening pavement introduced for convenience of maintenance, such as the movement of repair vehicles, is not functioning properly as it is damaged by physical deformation after construction. In addition, in awe zones such as parking lots, although the first image of the Joseon royal tombs is determined, the formation of the functional landscape centered on the carriageway does not harmonize with the traditional landscape, and, because of its lack of walking and environment-friendly features, there is a need for improvement, such as the experimental introduction of relevant pavement materials developed afterwards and continuous monitoring.
