This study shows that, in a situation where the influence of the mobile Internet is increasing in all areas of modern society, SNS users' participation in sports has a significant impact on the development of the sports market and the public's exercise methods and sports awareness. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the impact of awareness of sports values through SNS on participation in sports activities. In order to achieve this research purpose, the population of the study was adults who had experience participating in SNS sports communities. The sampling method used was convenience sampling, and a total of 300 people, 150 men and 150 women, were selected as research subjects through sharing the questionnaire link online and via email. The survey tool used was a questionnaire, and it was modified and supplemented for this study based on a questionnaire that had secured reliability and validity in previous studies. The statistical analysis used for data analysis was frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS Windows 20.0 Version. The conclusions obtained in this study through data analysis according to these methods and procedures are as follows. First, SNS sports community participants' perception of sports value was found to partially affect their perception of fun. Second, SNS sports community participants' perception of sports value was found to partially affect sports activities. Third, SNS sports community participants' perception of the fun of sports partially influenced sports activities.

The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of leisure sports participants' leisure attitudes on immersion and fun perception. As of 2021, the subject of this study was set as a population of adult males and females aged 20 and over who participate in leisure sports in Gwangju and the South, and then the cluster random sampling method was used. A total of 300 people, 150 boys and 150 women, were collected. A questionnaire was used as a survey tool, and a questionnaire whose validity and reliability were recognized in previous studies was modified and secured according to this study. In addition, all questionnaires were constructed on a 5-point scale. The statistical analysis used for data analysis was frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS Windows 21.0 Version. The conclusions obtained in this study through data analysis by such methods and procedures are as follows. First, it was found that leisure sports participants' leisure attitudes partially affect immersion. Second, leisure sports participants' leisure attitudes were found to have a partial effect on their perception of fun. Third, it was found that the immersion of leisure sports participants partially affects the perception of fun.
For the purpose of carrying out nutrition counseling effectively and efficiently, this study assessed the nutrition counseling practice, perception and nutrition knowledge of elementary school children in Gyeongbuk province. Survey questionnaires were distributed between November 2009 and December 2009 to 100 nutrition counseling experienced children (participants) and 110 nutrition counseling non-experienced children (non-participants) and were completed with nutrition teachers' assistance. According to the survey results, girls and overweight/obese children showed higher tendency of participation in nutrition counseling (p<0.001). Participants who took nutrition counseling according to their own intentions showed satisfaction after counseling on diverse subjects such as obesity, unbalanced diet, and weight control. Particularly, 'lack of counseling session time', 'unfavorable counseling condition' or 'difficult explanation' caused participants unsatisfaction after counseling. Participants usually perceived the meaning of nutrition counseling more correctly than non-participants and showed positive intentions for taking further counseling in the future(p<0.001). Diet good for weight control, good food to fix unbalanced diet and diet good for growing stature were the top three subjects of nutrition counseling chosen by subjects (p<0.001). Participants also showed higher nutrition knowledge scores than non-participants. Therefore, it is critically important to apply nutrition counseling in the proper environment (counseling room, time, teaching materials, etc) to elementary school students to fix healthy food habits. Therefore, nutrition teachers need to be provide professional nutrition counseling skills and knowledge.
Human perception is an outcome of the influence of various factors rather than objective reflection of external environment. Among the factors, action-specific perception is a phenomenon where perception changes in terms of one's ability to act on the environment. Previous research reported contradictory results regarding whether action-specific perception occurs during performance or after performance due to memory distortion or knowledge about performance results. In this research, we conducted three experiments to determine when action-specific perception occurs. Participants threw darts at different distances and reported perceived size of targets in each trial. The results showed that, in Experiments 1 and 2, participants perceived targets larger when they hit than missed the targets, and the effect was greater when the targets were not visible after each throw. However, because participants had knowledge about the results of their throws, there could have been bias in participants' responses. In Experiment 3, where this possibility was excluded, we also obtained action-specific perception, and therefore concluded that action-specific perception occurs during but not after task performance.
This study explores the effects of a television program on viewers' perception of vinegar. The 97 viewers were recruited from both students majoring in Food $(13.3\%)$ and those in non-Food subjects $(86.7\%)$. In this study the participants ($31.1\%$ males and $68.9\%$ females) were exposed to a 30 minute television program on vinegar. The students were surveyed to quantitatively test the effects of the television program on a viewer's perception. The results suggest that there is a correlation between viewing this television program and changes in perceptions of vinegar. The pre-test shows that $80.0\%$ of the participants had a minimum knowledge about vinegar and $16.7\%$ of the participants had no knowledge about vinegar. Only $3.3\%$ of the participants had a sufficient knowledge about vinegar before viewing the television program. After viewing the television program on vinegar, $80.0\%$ of the participants responded that the program 'highly influenced change' in their perception of vinegar and $20.0\%$ of the participants responded that the program gave them 'moderate effects on the perception change' while $0.0\%$ of the participants answered that there was 'no change' in their perception of vinegar. While there was no significant difference found among students' prior knowledge about vinegar in terms of gender and academic major, the study found the television program viewing experience made a great impact on their perception of vinegar. This research suggests that this television program about vinegar does not only influence the viewers' perception of vinegar but also creates an overall change in perception of purchase intention, practical uses of vinegar, and vinegar-drinking.

This study is to evaluate the 'Private antidesertification afforestation support project' in the Kubuqi Desert through a survey of local residents and interviews with relevant personnel. Based on this survey, gender, age, and occupational differences in perception of the project were analyzed. In addition, the project was evaluated based on the OECD/DAC criteria using survey results and in-depth interviews with the relevant personnel. The survey analysis results show that the participants answered most of the questions positively, claiming that they were receiving social, economic, and environmental benefits through the project. However, most of the participants answered negatively to questions regarding the understanding of the project and relevant information. Gender differences in perception of the project were not found, whereas, age and occupational differences in perception were found. Older age groups showed higher levels of perception. Participants in the agro-livestock industry and office workers showed higher levels of perception compared to middle/high school students, the unemployed and college students. Teenagers, in particular, showed the lowest level of perception of the project, and thus, promotional activities targeting teenagers should be conducted in the future. Results of this evaluation of the project based on the OECD/DAC's five criteria (relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact, and sustainability) showed that the project operated effectively for the most part.
Purpose: This study is to determine knowledge about early detection and risk perception of cancer according to taking cancer screening tests in the general population. Methods: The participants were 151 people aged 40 years or older. A questionnaire consisted of knowledge about early detection (warning signs, cancer screening methods, general knowledge for early detection), cancer risk perception and history of cancer screening during past 2 years. Results: The percentages of correct answers were 64.7% in knowledge about warning signs, 73.7% in knowledge of cancer screening tests and 80.1% in general knowledge for early detection. Participants had the highest knowledge about screening methods for stomach cancer and the lowest for liver and colon cancer. The level of risk perception was medium. The participants who participated in cancer screening showed lower risk perception than those who did not. There was no significant relationship between knowledge and performance of cancer screening. The primary reason for not participating in cancer screening was patient's perception of their own health. Conclusion: These results suggest that cancer risk perception can affect the performance of cancer screening and we need to study how to handle this problem. Additionally screening programs should focus on liver cancer and colon cancer.
Purpose: This study was to compare the perceptions about hospice and the meaning of life between the participants and non-participants of the hospice volunteer education program. Method: Descriptive survey research design was used. Participants were 63, and the data collecting period was from October to December, 2006. Instrument developed by Jung-Hee Kim(1990) and Eun-Ja Lee(1998) was modified to measure the perceptions about hospice. To measure the meaning of life, P.I.L (Purpose In Life) instrument by Crumbaugh and Maholick(1969) was utilized. The data were analyzed using $X^2-test$, t-test and Pearson-Correlation Coefficient. Results: 1. The participants in the hospice volunteer education program demonstrated higher perception scores about hospice than the non-participants (t=5.193, p= .001). 2. The program participants also showed higher scores of the meaning of life than non-participants (t=3.084, p=.005). 3. The perception about hospice and the meaning of life had positive correlation (r= .46, p= .01). Conclusion: Therefore, hospice education program must be established in a continual and systematic way in order to standardize the hospice system in Korea.
Purpose: To investigate the perception and barriers of Kangaroo-Mother Care (KMC) among nurses in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU). Methods: Participants were 131 nurses working in NICU who completed self-report questionnaires which included information regarding perception, barriers, and practice of KMC. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 program for descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficients. Results: Of the participants, 33.6% reported the practice of KMC in their NICU, with 75.6% wanting to receive training in KMC and 31.3% having received KMC education. Most of the participants agreed that KMC enhances attachment, parental confidence, and effective breast feeding but they reported a negative perception in providing KMC for premature infants weighing less than 1000 grams or intubated premature infants. Major barriers to practicing KMC were safety of infants, possible work overload for nurses, as well as absence of consistent guidelines. Barriers to KMC among nurses who received the KMC training were lower than nurses who did not receive the KMC training (t=-2.11, p=.037). Conclusion: Education program and standardized clinical practice protocol should be developed to foster the positive perception and to reduce nurse barriers to KMC.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe and understand elementary school health teachers' role perception in their own perspectives. Methods: Data were collected from three focus groups composed of five participants for each group. Each focus group had an interview for two and a half hours on the average. The main question was "What is your perception on the roles of health teachers in elementary schools?" Qualitative data from transcribed notes and field notes were analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Results: Five main roles were identified from the participants. The participants perceived themselves as 'an expert of health education in school and community', 'a health service provider for school members', 'a health guardian for school members, the coordinator of healthcare related works in school, and the leader of school health. Conclusion: The participants have multiple role identities, which are very important for health management of school members. And the roles such as an expert of health education and a leader for school health are recently emphasized. The findings of this study can provide useful information to design orientation programs for newly appointed health teachers and continuing education programs for enhancing role performance of health teachers in elementary schools.
