학령기 자녀가 있는 결혼이민자 여성의 생활만족도 예측 변인 (Predictors of life satisfaction in marriage migrant wives with school-aged children)

  • This study examined the predictors of life satisfaction of marriage migrant wives with school-aged children in South Korea. For this purpose, we draw data from the 2015 National Survey on Multi-cultural Families (NSMF). The target group was marriage migrant wives who were in a first marriage and had school-aged children (N=3,004). We used OLS regression to examine the predictors of the target group's life satisfaction with the SPSS 18.0 program. The results are as follows. First, marriage migrant wives with school-aged children had maintained their marriage for at least 14 years. They were satisfied with their relationships with both their spouses and their children. Also, they were satisfied with their spouse's child care roles. They did not support the multi-cultural policy of assimilation. Their Korean proficiency was slightly higher than the middle level. More than half had jobs and had not attended a parent meeting. Second, although they were satisfied with their everyday lives, their levels of life satisfaction were less than that of migrant wives with children below 5 years of age. Third, all variables explained 38.8% of the life satisfaction experienced by marriage migrant wives with school-aged children. Satisfaction with their spouses, subjective health, satisfaction of spouse's child care role, monthly family income, satisfaction with their children, experience attending a parents meeting, and Korean proficiency were positively associated with the life satisfaction of this target group. The findings of this study are significant because they can provide certain implications for family life education and policy within a multi-cultural society.

청소년의 삶의 만족도 결정요인에 대한 종단분석: 성별 및 학업 관련 특성을 중심으로 (A longitudinal analysis of the determinants of the life satisfaction among adolescents: Focusing on gender and academic characteristics)

  • 본 연구는 한국아동청소년패널 중1패널 3-6차년도 자료를 이용하여 학업 관련 특성과 가정 및 학교 내 사회적 관계가 청소년의 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 확인하고자 했다. 이 과정에서 성별에 따라 삶의 만족도와 영향요인 간의 종단적 관계에 차이가 있는지도 확인하였다. 먼저 최소제곱법(OLS) 추정을 이용한 중학교 3학년 때의 삶의 만족도 영향요인에 대한 학생 간 차이 분석 결과에서는 남학생이 여학생에 비해 삶의 만족도가 높았다. 주관적 학업성취 수준이 높고 수업에 잘 적응할수록 삶의 만족도가 높아지는 반면 학습시간이 많은 학생의 삶의 만족도는 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 한편 주관적 학업성취 효과는 가정 및 학교 내 사회적 관계 변수들을 추가로 투입했을 때 통계적 유의미성을 상실하였으며, 부모, 교사, 친구와의 관계는 모두 청소년의 삶의 만족도에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 다음으로 고정효과(fixed effect) 추정을 통해 중학교 3학년부터 고등학교 3학년까지의 청소년 삶의 만족도의 종단적 변화를 분석한 결과에서도 주관적 학업성취와 수업적응의 수준이 높아질수록 청소년의 삶의 만족도가 높아지는 관계가 확인되었다. 한편 중학교 3학년때 크게 나타났던 여학생과 남학생의 삶의 만족도 격차는 고등학교 2학년 시기에 좁혀졌다. 가정및 학교 내 사회적 관계의 효과를 보면 교우관계, 부모자녀 관계는 남녀 모두에게 정적으로 유의미한 효과를 나타냈으나 교사학생 관계는 여학생에게서만 정적인 효과가 유의미하였다. 이상의분석 결과를 바탕으로 청소년 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 한국교육의 풍토에 대해 논의하였다.

장애인가족 만족도와 장애인 삶의 질 매개효과 연구 (The Moderating Effect of Quality of Life Disabled and Family Satisfaction among the Disabled Family)

  • 본 연구는 거주시설 개편작업이 진행 중인 시점에 장애인과 장애인 가족들이 요구하는 다양한 미래의 거주시설 유형을 제안하기 위한 기초자료를 탐색하는 데 목적을 두었다. 주요 변인으로 장애인가족의 거주시설 만족도와 가족생활만족도의 관계에서 장애인 삶의 질에 매개효과를 확인하였다. 전국 장애인거주시설의 18세 이상 65세 미만 856명의 장애인 가족을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 총 810부의 응답을 수집하였다. 연구결과, 장애인가족의 시설만족도는 가족생활만족도와 장애인 삶의 질에 유의미한 영향을 미치며 장애인 가족의 시설만족도가 높을수록 장애인 삶의 질을 이끌어내기 용이하며 가족생활만족도도 증가하였다. 장애인가족의 시설만족도와 가족생활만족도의 관계에서 장애인 삶의 질이 부분매개 효과를 나타내어, 장애인 삶의 질이 높을 때 장애인 가족의 시설만족도와 가족생활만족도에 미치는 영향이 커지는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 장애인 본인의 삶 그리고 가족의 원만한 가족융합과 더불어 새로운 패러다임의 장애인 거주시설 논의를 체계화 할 수 있는 기초자료로 활용될 수 있으며, 거주지원서비스 정책과 실천을 재구조화하는데 활용될 수 있다.

아버지의 양육행동에 영향을 미치는 변인에 관한 연구 (Paternal Parenting Behavior and Its Related Variables)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the variables that influence paternal parenting behavior. 160 fathers of five-year old preschoolers(85 boys and 75 girls) were recruited from 8 daycare centers located in Seoul, Korea and answered the questionnaire on the subject of attachment experience with their parents of origin based on their retrospective memories, marital satisfaction, spouse's gatekeeping, and their own parenting behavior as fathers cohabiting with their children. Data were analyzed through frequencies, an independent sample t-test, Pearson's correlations, the stepwise regression analyses using SPSS 15.0. The findings are as follows. First, there was no statistically significant difference in paternal parenting behavior according to children's gender. Second, marital satisfaction and attachment experience with their own mothers in childhood influenced all five subcategories of paternal parenting behavior(parental involvement, limit setting, responsiveness, reasoning guidance, intimacy) and spouse's gatekeeping influenced father's reasoning guidance and intimacy. Unexpectedly, attachment experience with their own father had no impact on any subcategories of paternal parenting behavior.

일반위탁부모의 위탁유지 의사에 관한 탐색적 연구 : H위탁기관의 사례를 중심으로 (An Exploratory Study on Decisions among Foster Parents to Continue Foster Care : The Case of 'H' Foster Care Agency)

  • The purpose of the study was to explore what kind of intervention might help foster parents decide to continue engaging in foster care. As foster care services are still in the early stages of development, lacking systematic support systems as well as full understanding of the roles of foster parents and foster care agencies, it is important to recruit, select, and train as many foster parents as possible. Utilizing the Foster Parent Role Perception scale developed by Le Prohn, the author first conceptualized foster parent roles or foster care agency roles; then explored what kind of effects the resource level or the role perception of the foster parents have on the decisions to continue doing foster care. The results showed that the foster parents perceived 'supporting the internal system of the foster child' and 'supporting the external system of the foster child' as the roles of foster parents, whereas 'fortifying the foster care system' and 'maintaining liaison with birth parents' were the roles of foster care agencies. It was also found that foster parents' strong role perception, higher levels of satisfaction towards education on the part of foster parents, and the number of children from the previous marriage had statistically significant positive effects on the decisions to continue foster care. The author argues that clear definitions of roles are needed for both foster parents and foster care agencies. Finally, the role of foster care agencies needs to be strengthened and supported.

양친, 한부, 한모가족 청소년의 적응과 가족환경특성 비교 (A Comparison of Adjustment and Family Environment of Adolescents from Different Family Structures)

  • This study analyzed the differences in adjustment and family environments of adolescents from three different family structures, using the KCYPS panel 4th wave data from first graders in middle schools. The participants of the study consisted of 1,715 adolescents in two-parent families, 79 adolescents in single-father families, and 113 adolescents in single-mother families. The data were analyzed by means of descriptive statistics and ANCOVAs. The findings of this study indicated that adolescents in two-parent families showed a lower level of physical symptoms than those in single-mother families and a lower level of participation in classwork than those in single-father families whereas adolescents in single-father families were more likely to be involved in delinquency than those from the other two family structures. In addition, significant differences were found in family environments including parents' physical health and life satisfaction, family economic status, parenting behaviors, and parents' absence at home after school. Parents in single-mother and single-father families were less healthy physically, showed lower levels of life satisfaction, reported less income, and spent less money for their children, compared to those in two-parent families. With regard to parenting behaviors, single fathers tended to be less warm toward and neglected their children more than single mothers and parents in two-parent families. Adolescents in single-father families were most likely to be left alone at home after school, followed by those in single-mother and two-parent families. The results suggested that specific attention needs to be paid to adolescents from single-father families in order to support their adjustment.

초등학교 저학년 아동의 가족기능과 인터넷 중독 (Family Function and Internet Addiction in Lower Grade Elementary School Students)

  • Purpose: This study explored the degree of internet addiction and its influencing factors in lower grade elementary school children in rural areas. Methods: Subjects included 1,137 elementary school children. A structured questionnaire consisting of questions internet addiction, family function and school life satisfaction was used for data collection. Descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$-test, ANOVA and Correlation and Regression were performed using a SPSS program. Results: Among the subjects, 85.8% were regular users, 8.1% were potential risk users, and 6.1% were high-risk users. Career of internet use, daily internet access time, the number of conversations per week, the number of times spent eating out and traveling with parents within the last month and activities with friends, and satisfaction on school life differed significantly according to the degree of internet addiction. Finally, among the factors studied, daily internet access time, conversations within family, activities with friends and school life satisfaction in children in early elementary school was 20.7% of the explanatory power of the subjects' degree of internet addiction, collectively. Conclusion: Use of the internet by early elementary school children should be monitored and strategies to promote familial conversations, activities with peers and school life satisfaction should be developed.

부부생활이 자녀폭력에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 일상생활만족도, 의사소통, 스트레스 정도를 중심으로 (The Influence of the Satisfaction of Couple Life, Communication, and the Level of Stress on Battering Child)

  • In this study, we examine the marital factors which relate to the child abuse. We mainly analyze the influence of the satisfaction of couple life, communication on battering child, and we also test mediating effect of the level of parents' stress. The major outcomes of the study are following. In case of father, the satisfaction of couple life, communication don't have a significant influence on battering child. And they have a significant influence on the level of fathers' stress. But the level of fathers' stress does not influence on battering child. In case of mother, the satisfaction of couple life and communication don't explain the child abuse. But they have a significant influence on level of mothers' stress, and it also have a significant influence on battering child. These findings show that family therapy or marital therapy which focuses on enhancing the satisfaction of couple life and improving the way of communication between husband and wife is needed to reduce the child abuse. To the mothers, a stress management program can also be effective.

중학생과 학부모의 청소년을 위한 건강가정 교육에 관한 요구도와 생활 만족도 (Healthy Family Educational Need and Life Satisfaction of Middle School Students and Their Parents)

  • 본 연구는 청소년 건강가정교육에 대한 중학생과 학부모의 요구도와 관련변수를 분석하여 청소년 건강가정교육 프로그램 개발에 기초자료를 제공하기 위하여 실시되었다. 서울시에 거주하는 중학생 674명과 학부모 597명을 대상으로 설문지를 통하여 자료를 수집하고, 기술통계방법, one-way ANOVA, Duncan 검증, pearson 상관관계를 이용하여 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년들은 가족관계영역에서 가족과의 열린 대화법, 친구와의 관계에서 친구에게 비춰지는 나, 소비생활영역에서 물건 구매 후 피해보상 받는 방법과 영양과 비만영역에서 자신의 신체와 외모에 대한 자신감 찾는 방법에 대한 요구가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학부모들의 요구는 가족과의 열린 대화법, 친구를 잘 사귀는 방법, 저축방법, 자신의 신체와 외모에 대한 자신감 찾는 방법에서 높았다. 부모들의 경우는 인구통계학적인 변인에 관계없이 건강가정교육 프로그램에 대한 다양한 내용에 대하여 전반적으로 높은 요구를 보이고 있다. 셋째, 중학생의 생활만족도는 전반적으로 높았는데 특히 친구관계에 대한 만족이 가장 높았고 부모와의 관계에서도 높은 만족도를 보이고 있다. 이러한 생활만족도는 중학생의 건강가정교육 요구도와 유의한 상관관계를 나타내고 있어서 학생들이 불만스러워하는 영역에 대한 교육 요구도가 높아짐을 볼 수 있다.

감각통합치료가 뇌성마비 아동의 일상생활 기능에 미치는 효과 - 캐나다 작업수행 측정을 이용하여 - (Using Canadian Occupational Performance Measure - On the Effects of Sensory Integration Treatment to the Daily-Life Task Performance of a Child with a Cerebral Palsy)

  • Objective : The objective of this case study is to search the effects of sensory integration treatment. First we have taken a child with a cerebral palsy and given him/her sensory integration treatment. Then, we intended to look into whether the child performed his daily-life tasks and how satisfactory the parents were with the treatment. Methods : We have chosen a child with a cerebral palsy and tested his sensory integration functions. Applying the 30 minutes-sensory integration treatment twenty times to the child, we compared the result of the treatment using Canadian Occupational Performance Measure. We counseled the parents of the child before and after the treatment. Results : We have rated the problems with the degrees of importance referring to the parents. Important problems include controlling eliminations, having meals, moving by self, interacting with peer groups, and performing delicate hand-movements. The score of the in the performance is 1.2 and the score of the degree in the satisfaction is 1.4 compared with the total score. Conclusion : We have concluded that the sensory integration treatment has the effective result to the daily-life task performances of a child with a cerebral palsy, a kind of sensory integration dysfunction and satisfies the child's parents after this case study.
