  • 이동체와의 통신은 항상 안테나가 이동체의 방향을 지향하고 있어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 안테나가 이동체를 지향하기 위해서 사용되는 방식중 이동체의 위치를 측정하여 이동체와 안테나 사이의 기하학적 위치관계로부터 안테나의 지향각을 결정하는 방법을 사용하였다. 안테나와 무인항공기에 각각 GPS를 설치하여 각각의 위치를 측정하고 계산된 지향각을 향하도록 안테나를 구동하였다. 안테나의 지향각과 일치시켜 설치한 카메라를 사용하여 무인항공기를 촬영하여 추적 안테나 시스템의 성능을 검증하였다

  • In this paper, the radiation pattern of the monopole antenna mounted on the portable phone is analyzed. The analyzed model consists of a rectangular conductor box and a monopole antenna. Even though the radiation pattern of the monopole has been well known, the monopole antenna mounted on the portable phone has not been fully studied. Because of the conductor box, portable phone acts as an unbalanced dipole antenna whoe radiation patterns deviate fro those of th econventional isolated monopole antenna. Therefore, the analysis of the radiation patterns of unbalanced dopole antenna is necessary. Using the moment method, its radiation patterns are analyzed and the numerical results are verified through the measurements. In addition, the radiation patterns depending on various length of the conductor box and the monopole antenna are also presented and the dimension of the portable phone which gives excellent radiation characteristics are derived from the analyzed results.

Design of Inset Microstrip Patch Antenna for Wireless Power Transmission at 2.45 GHz

  • In communication systems, there are various types of microstrip antenna that can be used for many applications. This paper mainly focuses on the simple design of an inset rectangular microstrip patch antenna to operate at a frequency of 2.45 GHz for rectenna design. The study involves using an high frequency structure simulator to design the antenna dimensions and to determine its performance. This antenna is based on a thickness of 1.6 mm flame retardant 4 (FR-4) substrate having a dielectric constant of approximately 4.7, an inset feed, and a ground plane. After simulation, the antenna performance characteristics such as its return loss, voltage standing wave ratio, gain, and radiation pattern were obtained and compared with the fabricated measured antenna.

Performance Analysis of MUSIC-Based Jammer DOA Estimation Technique for a Misaligned Antenna Array

  • As a countermeasure against the threat of jamming which can disrupt operation of the Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers, various kinds of technique to estimate the Direction-Of-Arrivals (DOAs) of incoming jamming signals have been widely studied, and among them, the MUltiple SIgnal Classification (MUSIC) algorithm is known to provide very high resolution. However, since the previous studies regarding the MUSIC algorithm does not consider the orientation of each antenna element of antenna arrays, there is a possibility that DOA estimation performance degrades in the case of a misaligned antenna array whose antenna elements are not oriented along the same direction. As an effort to solve this problem, there exists a previous work which presents an MUSIC-based method for DOA estimation. However, the error between the real and measured values of each antenna orientation is not taken into consideration. Therefore, in this paper, the effect of the aforementioned error on the DOA estimation performance in the case of a misaligned antenna array is analyzed by simulations.

  • 본 논문에서는 중심주파수가 5.8㎓에서 동작하는 마이크로스트립 라인-프로브 급전구조를 갖는 마이크로스트립 패치 배열 안테나를 설계 및 제작하였다. 마이크로스트립 라인-프로브 급전구조는 안테나의 광대역 특성과 배열 구조를 가능하게 하여 이득을 향상시킬 수 있다. 그 결과, 대역폭은 17.6%(VSWR<2)이며, 안테나 이득은 8㏈i 를 얻었다.

  • Antenna equipment is transported being assembled to moving equipment and often subjected to vibration and shock excitation during transportation. In these circumstances, structural safety of antenna equipment must be secured. Wire rope isolators are assembled between moving equipment and antenna equipment to reduce the level of vibration and shock. In this paper, a isolator that are suitable to the system is selected and dynamic characteristics analysis of driving on antenna equipment is conducted using real system and the result is compared with response analysis. Also modal test of array-antenna pack-assembly is conducted and structural safety of that is secured by reinforcing its structure.

  • In this paper, we made study for plastic chip antenna, the plastic is Formax with the circle of PVC and its electric characteristics are dielectric constant 1.9, surface current $10{\Omega}$. The proposed antenna same as the conventional antenna are usually constructed with ceramic chip, which are not fragile in nature and don't tend to break easily. Therefore the proposed antenna with its advantage are attractive for application in mobile antenna. We study the dual-band plastic chip antenna resonated at 800Mhz and 1800Mhz. From this study results, we feel confident of application for mobile phone antenna.

An Implantable Antenna for Wireless Body Area Network Application

  • In this paper, an implantable planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) for an artificial cardiac pacemaker is proposed. The antenna has a simple structure with a low profile and is placed on the top side of the pacemaker. The dimensions of the pacemaker system, including the antenna element, are $42{\times}43.6{\times}11$ mm. When the antenna is embedded in pig tissue, its $S_{11}$ value is -10.94 dB at 403 MHz and the -10 dB impedance bandwidth of the antenna is 6 MHz (399~406 MHz). The proposed PIFA in tissue has a peak gain of -20.19 dBi and a radiation efficiency of 1.12 % at 403 MHz. When the proposed antenna is placed in a flat phantom, its specific absorption ratio (SAR) value is 0.038 W/kg (1 g tissue). Performances of the proposed PIFA is sufficient to operate at the MICS band (402 ~ 405 MHz).

  • 본 논문에서는 소형화를 위하여 3개의 폴디드 형태의 선로를 갖는 CPW 안테나를 제안한다. LTE 사용 주파수의 공진을 위해 중앙을 미앤더 라인으로, 그 외에는 폴디드 라인으로 구성하였다. 대역폭을 넓히기 위하여 라인들의 폭을 점진적으로 변화시킴으로써 설계하였다.

  • 본 논문은 Wi-Fi 환경내 스마트기기의 무선전력전송을 위한 유연한 소형 다이폴 안테나를 제안한다. 제안된 안테나는 중앙에 분할고리공진기를 가진 다이폴 안테나 구조이며, 크기가 32mm인 소형 다이폴 안테나이다. 분할고리공진기 다이폴 안테나는 동일 크기의 다이폴 안테나에 비해 약 20% 파장을 줄이는 결과를 보였다.
