Adaptive Strip Compression for Panorama Video Streaming (파노라마 동영상 스트리밍을 위한 적응적 스트립 압축 기법)

  • Traditional live video streaming systems support the limited field of view (FOV) of image to the remote users. A server system based on the pan/tilt camera provides a user with wide view by changing the view direction of the camera mechanically. But, when many clients try to access to the server, this system can not offer their own view to every user simultaneously, and moreover it has the delay by camera motion. In order to offer wide views to several users, we propose new streaming system using the panorama image that has wide view. Our system is a kind of implementation of software pan/tilt camera. The server acquires panorama video and sends a part of the video to clients. Then, each client can control their own view. We need the effective way to reduce the average transmission data size and server burden to the compression because generally the full size of panorama video is too big to be served by the real-time streaming. To solve this problem, we propose an strip-based video compression and adaptive transmission of the compressed multiple strip videos. Experimental results show that our system can be adapted quickly to the change of view and the number of clients. Furthermore, proposed method effectively reduce the transmission data.

  • 디지털 영상 기기의 발전과 함께 화질의 선명도와 해상도가 향상되면서 더 많은 영상 정보를 한 화면에 담고자 하는 시도로서 파노라마 영상 합성기법을 차량 주차시 운전자의 넓은 영상확보를 위해 구현한다. 본 논문에서는 파노라마 영상 생성 장치 및 방법과 파노라마 영상에 기반한 차량 후방 감시 장치에 관한 것이다. 차량 후방 감시용으로 두 대의 CCD 카메라 장비를 이용하여 촬영 기술상의 제한 또는 요구 없이 획득되는 영상 시퀀스로부터 영상을 분석하고 합성한다는 조건하에 수행되어지며, 카메라 움직임의 모델링, 변환식에 의한 합성 영상의 재구성, 후처리 기술을 접목한다. 첫 단계에서는 두 영상의 중첩 영역을 획득하고 두 번째 단계에서는 중첩된 영상을 기준으로 파노라마 영상을 구현하는 것이다.

An X-ray Image Panorama System Using Robust Feature Matching and Per ception-Based Image Enhancement

  • This paper presents an x-ray medical image panorama system which can overcome the smallness of the images that exist on a source computer during remote medical processing. In the system, after the standard medical image format DICOM is converted to the PC standard image format, a MSR algorithm is used to enhance X-ray images of low quality. Then SURF and Multi-band blending are applied to generate a panoramic image. Also, this paper evaluates the proposed SURF based system through the average gray value error and image quality criterion with X-ray image data by comparing with a SIFT based system. The results show that the proposed system is superior to SIFT based system in image quality.

  • 데이터 전송기술의 발달과 인터넷 멀티미디어 기술의 발달로 스트리밍(streaming) 기법은 인터넷 방송, 영화. 광고 및 교육 분야에 널리 이용되고 있다. 그러나 기존의 스트리밍 기법은 서버(server)에서 클라이언트(client)로 데이터를 전송시 공중파방송처럼 단방향성을 가진다. 즉 서버는 클라이언트의 요구사항을 수용할 수 없도록 설계되어 있으며, 영상의 시각영역에 제한성을 가진다. 본 논문에서는, 기존의 스트리밍 기법과 달리 넓은 시각 영역을 가진 파노라마 비디오 (panorama video)에서의 스트리밍 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 클라이언트와 서버간의 상호작용(interaction)을 위해, 파노라마 영상을 독립된 작은 스트립(strip)으로 세분화 시킨 후 클라이언트의 요구(시점 변화, 임의의 프레임의 접근)에 따라 능동적으로 압축 전송함으로써 클라이언트와 서버간의 상호작용이 가능한 양방향 스트리밍 시스템이다.

An Experimental Study of Radiographic Density of Alveolar Bone and Cortical Thickness of Mandible by Osteoporosis (골다공증에 따른 치조골 방사선사진농도와 하악하연두께의 변화에 대한 연구)

  • Purpose: To evaluate the effect of the systemic osteoporosis on radiographic density of alveolar bone and cortical thickness of mandible. Materials and Methods: The bone mineral density values of lumbar and femur were measured by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry and T scores of lumbar, femur were obtained respectively. Radiographic densities of alveolar bones and panorama mandibular index (PMI, represents as cortical thickness) were analysed statistically according to age and T score variables. Results: The radiographic density of alveolar bone of maxillary molar showed significant difference by age and femur T group. That of mandibular molar showed significant difference between femur T group. Panorama mandibular index showed significant difference between age groups. Conclusion: The radiographic density of alvealar bones was more dependent on age and femur T than lumbar T. Cortical thickness of mandible was correlated with increasing age.

A study of flow structure of bichromatic waves through PIV analysis

  • An experimental study was carried out in order to understand the kinematics of bichromatic waves. Bichromatic waves are generated in a two-dimensional wave tank, and measured by panorama PIV technique, which allows the flow fields to be captured with respect to a spatial coordinate system. We compared wave profiles and velocities of wave particles obtained by experiment with theoretical results using Stokes 1st and 2nd order waves. The velocity distribution at wave crest and trough of the highest and lowest point of a bichromatic wave are investigated in this study.

  • This paper proposes efficient system for multiview images using backward quadtree disparity estimation. Previous quadtree method usually divides current image. In this work, backward quadtree divides reference image. So, it does not need to code quadtree data. For backward quadtree, quadtree information map is generated. By using this map, adaptive dividing is possible. And, conventional bi-directional matching method is used with backward quadtree. These methods increase subject and object quality of decoded test images. For multiview images, panorama synthesizing method was used. Panorama image and right-most image are used for reference image for intermediate view images coding.

  • In this paper, have necessity of PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) at hospital but hereafter by economical problem PACS apply this to medical treatment image enhancing image quality applying histogram equalization for improvement of light and darkness after reconstruct because make image that pretreatment filtering has wild picture and is processed in wave lets dissolution and wave lets area using weight median filter because could not buy expensive equipment at hospital which introduction is difficulty do inversion and extracted characteristic.
