내시경용 광섬유 pH 측정 센서 개발을 위한 기초 연구 (Feasibility Study on the Development of Fiber-Optic pH Sensor for Endoscope)

  • The general method to find a H. pylori in the stomach is the rapid urease test but it is only used to decide the infection with H. pylori. In this study, it is tried to develope fiber-optic pH sensor which can be used with gastroscop to quantify H. pylori. To measure the degree of infection with H. pylori, the color change of phenol red according to the degree of pH is measured by optical fibers with different light sources and the optimum distance from a sample to the end of sensor tip is decided by measuring the maximum reflectivity from a sample. Also the sensitivity study is carried out to decide the optimum light source which has sensitive change of reflectivity to the change of pH. It is expected that the fiber-optic pH sensor which measures the degree of infection with H. pylori exactly can be developed.

시멘트 콘크리트의 배합조건에 따른 pH 저감에 관한 연구 (A Study on the pH Reduction of Cement Concrete with Various Mixing Conditions)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the mix design of pH reducing cement concrete which can be used for environment-friendly concrete. Cement pastes and concretes are prepared with water-binder ratios and various admixtures such as blast-furnace slag, fly ash and recycled cement, and tested for compressive strength and pH. pH is measured through pore solution expressed from hydrated cement paste by special apparatus. From the test results, regardless of water-binder ratio, The pH of expressed pore solution from hydrated cement paste which is made of ordinary portland cement with blast-furnace slag, fly ash is decreased with increasing of admixtures content, and compressive strength is also slightly improved. The compressive strength of cement paste made of recycled cement which is burnt at $1000^{\circ}C$, for 2 hours is considerably increased compared with that of none-burnt recycled cement due to restoration of hydraulic property, but pH is a little higher. Porous concrete with ordinary portland cement has high pH in the range of 12.22 to 12.59, however, that is reduced to the range of 8.95 to 10.39 by carbonation at the surface of porous concrete. The pH reduction of porous concrete is possible by various admixture addition, however their degrees are very slight. Therefore, to reduce the pH considerably, carbonation method of porous concrete is better in pH reduction methods for plant survival condition of pH of 9.0 or less. In this study, it is apparent that pH for the environment-friendly porous concrete products used in the construction field can be suppressed by this carbonation method and various admixtures addition.

순환골재의 pH에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the pH of Recycled Aggregate)

  • 본 연구에서는 순환골재 용출수의 pH가 실제 환경에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위하여 기존 순환골재 pH 측정방법 중 용매의 종류, 용출시간, 순환골재 크기에 따라 다양한 방법으로 평가하였다. 또한 순환골재가 현장에 재활용 되었을 때를 가정하여 토양에 의한 pH 완충능력을 평가하였고, 현장재현 모형시험을 통해 순환골재 pH가 실제 하천환경에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 순환골재에 의한 pH의 오염도는 자연계에서의 실제 오염농도와는 차이가 있음을 확인하였으며, 특히 실제 현장에서 토양층의 확보가 이뤄진다면 토양의 자연정화 능력에 의해 환경에 미치는 영향은 작을 것으로 평가되었다. 또한 순환골재로부터 발생하는 알칼리성의 pH 유출수가 유입되더라도 하천의 자정능력에 의해 pH 영향은 거의 없는 것으로 평가되었다.

  • pH sensitive polymers have long been utilized as one important type among many interesting drug delivery systems. This is due to the reason of different pH environments in human organs, which requires different pH control mechanism depending upon the organs. In the present study the pH sensitivity was investigated for both pH sensitive and pH insensitive biopolymers using the diffusion effect along with the swelling effect. NMR microscopy was performed along with optical microscopy. For the analysis of diffusion effect, UMR Microscopy was perFormed to measure diffusion coefficients for various liquids such as distilled water, acetone and DMSO(dimethyl sulfoxide). Also, this technique is expected to contribute to the studies for many pH drug delivery systems.

양돈 슬러리의 암모니아 발생 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on Ammonia Emission Characteristic of Pig Slurry)

  • 본 연구에서는 육성 비육돈 슬러리를 이용하여 슬러리의 환경조건에 따라 슬러리로 부터의 암모니아 발생 특성을 분석코자 하였다. 슬러리의 온도와 pH를 조절하여 슬러리로부터 발생하는 암모니아 농도를 측정 분석한 결과 슬러리의 온도가 높을수록 슬러리로 부터 발생하는 암모니아 농도는 급격히 증가하는 것으로 나타났고, 슬러리의 pH를 5, 6, 7, 8의 4수준으로 조절하여 각각의 온도에 따라 발생하는 암모니아 농도를 측정한 결과 pH 5, 6에서는 암모니아 가스가 검출되지 않았으나 pH 7, 8에서는 많은 양의 암모니아 가스가 검출되었고 양돈 슬러리의 pH가 높을수록 발생하는 암모니아 가스가 많이 발생하는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구결과 슬러리의 온도를 낮추어 주거나 슬러리의 pH를 낮춤으로써 슬러리로부터 발생하는 악취가스를 크게 줄일 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다.

  • 재건축 재개발 사업 등으로 인하여 증가하는 건설폐기물을 효율적이고 친환경적으로 처리하기 위하여 건설폐기물을 재활용하여 사용하고 있다. 대표적으로 순환골재가 있으며, 이는 수산화칼슘에 의하여 높은 강알칼리성을 나타내며 많은 환경문제를 발생시키고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 순환골재의 pH를 저감하기 위해 인산나트륨계암모늄염을 사용하여 순환골재의 강알칼리성을 감소시키기 위한 연구이다. 또한, 순환골재 pH 저감제의 현장적용 가능성을 평가하였다. 그 결과 pH 저감제 비율이 증가할수록 pH가 감소하는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며 순환골재 생산과정 중 pH 저감제를 이용한 침지, 분사 등의 방법으로 현장적용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

궐련담배 연기 응축물의 pH에 관한 연구 (Study on the pH of the Particulate matter in Cigarette Smoke)

  • Cigarette smoke is an aerosol consisted of both vapor and Particulate phases. In this study, the smoke condensates from several blended cigarettes were dissolved in water and the pH of the resulting solution was determined. The pH of the smoke condensate decreased with increase of puff number. In the beginning the pH decreased a little, while decreased remarkably from puff No.5 to puff No.10.

알칼리에 의한 천마 단백질 추출의 최적 pH 조건 (Optimized pH condition of protein extraction of Gastrodia elata Blume by alkaline method)

  • 본 연구에서는 알칼리 사용에 따른 갈변을 최소화하고 영양적으로 우수한 천마 단백질을 보다 효율적으로 추출하기 위하여 용출 및 침전 pH에 따른 단백질의 갈변도와 함량을 측정함으로써 탈지 천마 단백질 알칼리 추출의 최적 pH 조건을 설정하고자 하였다. 천마의 수분은 약 15%로 측정되었으며, 대부분 탄수화물로 구성되어 있었고, 단백질의 함량이 높은 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 단백질을 다양한 pH에서 용출시킨 결과 pH가 증가함에 따라 용출된 단백질의 양이 증가하였으며, 갈변도 또한 증가함을 보였다. 침전 pH에 따른 단백질 함량은 pH 4에서 침전된 pellet이 가장 많은 함량을 나타내었으며, 상등액의 단백질 함량 또한 대부분 pH 4로 침전시킨 경우 가장 적은 것으로 확인되었다. 뿐만 아니라 단백질의 회수율도 침전 pH가 4일 때 가장 높은 값을 나타내었다. 따라서 갈변도와 단백질 함량을 고려한 탈지 천마 단백질 추출을 위한 최적조건은 용출 pH 9와 침전 pH 4로 결정되었다.

  • pH is expressed mathematically as $pH=-{\log}[H^+]$, is a measure of the hydrogen ion concentration, [$H^+$] to specify the acidity or basicity of an aqueous solution. The pH scale usually ranges from 0 to 14. Every aqueous solution can be measured to determine its pH value. The pH values below 7.0 express the acidity, above 7.0 are alkalinity and pH 7.0 is a neutral solution. The solution pH can be determined by indicator or by measurement using pH sensor, which measuring the voltage generated between a glass electrode and a reference electrode according to the Nernst Equation. The pH value of solutions depends on the temperature and the activity of contained ions. In nickel electroless plating process, the controlled pH value in some limited ranges are extremely important to achieve optimal deposition rate, phosphorus content as well as solution stability. Basically, nickel electroless plating solution contains of $Ni^{2+}ions$, reducing agent, buffer and complexing agents. The plating processes are normally carried out at $82-92^{\circ}C$. However, the change of its pH values with temperatures does not follow any rule. Thus, the purpose of study is to understand the relationship between pH and temperature of some based solutions and electroless nickel plating solutions. The change of pH with changing temperatures is explained by view of the thermal dynamic and the practical measurements.

고추내 함유 Pectinesterase, Polygalacturonase, Lipoxygenase와 Peroxidase의 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study of Pectinesterase, Polygalacturonase, Lipoxygenase and Peroxidase in Hot Pepper)

  • This study was carried out 19 investigate the characteristics of pectinesterase (PE), polygalacturonase (PG), lipoxygenase(LOX) and peroxidase (POD) in hot pepper to know the effect of hot pepper on food quality during food processing and storage. The results were as follows : 1. The optimum pH of PE was pH 7.5 and the activity of PE below pH 5.5 was revealed scarcely, The concentration of NaCl and $CaCl_2$ that showed the highest activity of PE were 0.2M and 0.05M, respectively. 2. The optimum pH of PG was pH 6.0 and the activity of PG in acidity was higher than that in alkalinity. The activity of PG was maximum at 0.3M NaCl and 0.2mM $CaCl_2$. Above the concentration of 0.5M NaCl and 0.5M $CaCl_2$, the activity of PG was lower than that of PG not adding these salts 3. The optimum pH of LOX was pH 7.0 and pH 8.5. 4. The optimum pH of POD was pH 6.0 and the activity of POD was higher in weak acidity and neutrality than in alkalinity. POD activity was slightly decreased by the increase of NaCl and $CaCl_2$ concentration.
