수묘양성에 있어서 토양관리의 제문제점

  • 이상 묘포토양의 제문제점에 대해서 한측면으로 고찰을 해보았다. 묘포토양은 곳에 따라 다양복잡하고 재배수종 그리고 생태환경, 작업기술등 변화가 많은 것이므로 그러한 영향하에 있다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 토양분석이 잘 되고 그것을 토양관리에 합리적으로 적응한다는 것은 묘목양성기술의 과학화라는 뜻에서 결코 경시할수 없는 일이다. 다음과 같은 토양관리사항을 이곳에 적요할수 있다. (가) 토양산도는 재배수종에 알맞도록 조정이 되어야 한다. 토양산도(pH가)는 5

Acid Tolerance of Lactobacillus brevis Isolated from Kimchi (김치에서 분리한 Lactobacillus brevis의 내산성)

  • We isolated wild lactic acid bacteria from kimchi and identified as Lactobacillus brevis by using API 50 CHL Kit, some morphological and physiological tests. In order to evaluate the acid tolerance of Lactobacillus brevis, its survivals rate, glycolysis assay, membrane permeability, and pH profiles of $H^+-ATPase$ were also determined. When Lactobacillus brevis were incubated in Lactobacilli MRS broth adjusted to various levels of pH for 2 hours, the decreases in its population at pH 4.0 and 3.0 were about 2.61 log cycles/mL and 5.89 log cycles/mL, respectively, but there was no decrease at pH 6.0 and 5.0. Glycolysis by Lactobacillus brevis had optimal pH about 6.5 and glucose degradation was reduced by 50% at a pH of 5.2. $Mg^{++}$ release from Lactobacillus brevis cells in medium with pHs of 4.0 and 3.0 was 24.3 and 71.2% of totals, respectively. The $H^+-ATPase$ of Lactobacillus brevis showed a maximal activity between pH values of approximately 6.5 to 7.0.

  • The solid yields and color changes of garlic aqueous extracts were determined to study the effects of enzymatic hydrolysis, pH treatment, and addition of organic acids and some organic or inorganic salts. Hydrolysis with commercial polysaccharases resulted in an $15{\sim}20%$ increase in the solid yields, with a greenish color change in the garlic extracts. pH treatment gave it similar effect at the pH range of $4.4{\sim}5.0$. Among the salts and acidulants used, $CaCl_2$, sodium oxalate, tartaric and phosphoric acids were effective for increase in the yield and $K_{4}P_{2}O_{7}$ was effective for both yield increase and control of greening.

Effects of Green Tea-Soybean Paste on Weights and Serum Lipid Profiles in Rats Fed High Fat Diet (녹차 된장이 고지방식이를 급여한 흰쥐의 체중 및 혈청 지질성분에 미치는 영향)

  • Effects of green tea-soybean paste on weight-changes and serum lipid profiles in rats fed high fat diet were investigated. Sprague-Barley male rats divided into five groups were fed five different diets for 10 weeks: B group, basal diet H group, high fat-diet containing 0.5% cholesterol+15% lard H-S group, high fat diet containing soybean paste H-0.6GS group, high fat diet containing 0.6% green tea-soybean paste H-4GS group, high fat diet containing 4% green tea-soybean paste. H group showed highest weight gain (p<0.05). Addition of green-tea soybean paste to high-fat diet significantly decreased weight gain, H-4GS group showing highest weight loss (p<0.05). No significant differences in food efficiency ratio and total food intake were found among groups. Liver weight of H group was highest. Addition of green tea-soybean paste to high fat diet significantly reduced liver weight (p<0.05, Table 2). Concentrations of glucose, uric acid, bilirubin, and total protein were similar among all group. Mean GPT values of H-4GS group were significantly different from these of H- and H-S groups (p<0.05). H-S, H-0.6GS, and H-4GS groups had significantly lower triglyceride and total cholesterol, and higher HDL than H-group (p<0,05). H-4GS group had significantly lower serum triglyceride than H-0.6GS group (p<0.05).

  • 산성비에 관한 초기 및 후속강우의 질적인 연구는 전보에서도 보고되었으며, 동아대학교에서는 1993년부터 강우를 초기강우와 후속강우로 나누어 강우의 질적 변화에 대한 연구를 계속하고 있다. Harrison(1983)과 Zhao(1988)는 강우성분의 질적 변화와 대기오염물질의 장거리 이동에 대한 연구를 보고하고 있다. 따라서, 산성강우의 질적 변화에 대한 연구는 초기강우와 후속강우의 특성을 규명하는 것이 중요하며, 한반도 지역 특성상 수송 등에 의해 영향을 받는 대기오염물질의 파악은 산성강우연구와 함께 국가간 환경문제에 있어서 중요한 Data가 된다. The Effect of Cuff Pressure of Endotrachel Tube on Postoperative Sore Throat (기관내관의 기낭압 조정이 수술 후 인후통에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of cuff pressure on postoperative sore throat. Methods: Data were collected from January 4 through May 15, 2008. Among the 60 patients, 30 patients were randomly assigned to the control group and the rest to the experimental group. Initial cuff pressure of both groups was set at 20 $cmH_2O$. The experimental group was maintained at 20 $cmH_2O$ throughout the anesthesia, while the control group was not regulated further. Sore throat was assessed at postoperative 1, 24 and 72 hours. Data were analyzed using Mann-Whitney test and Spearman's rho coefficients. Results: Cuff pressure in control group increased from 20 to 43 $cmH_2O$ within 3 hours after induction. However, the experimental group showed that there was apparently a reduced rate of sore throat at postoperative 24 hours (p = .048), and 72 hours (p = .002) than in the control group. However, no outstanding differences between both groups at postoperative 1 hour (p = .081) were detected. The correlation between cuff pressure and sore throat was statistically significant ($r_s$ = .590, p < .001). Conclusion: We conclude that maintaining cuff pressure at 20 $cmH_2O$ could be an effective means to reduce sore throat in surgical patients with inhalation anesthesia.

색도에 의한 돼지 액상정액의 품질 간편식별 기술 개발

  • 본 연구는 돼지 액상정액의 품질을 간편하게 육안적으로 식별하기 위한 방법을 개발하기 위하여 채취된 정액을 페놀레드(0.5%)가 첨가된 BTS보존액에 정액과 회석액비율을 1:1로 희석하여 1-2시간 17℃까지 냉각시킨 후 최종정자수가 3×10/sup 9/ sperm/80㎖ 되도록 최종 추가조정 희석한 후 17℃에서 1, 3 및 5일 동안 보관한 정액의 활력과 pH를 조사하고 페놀레드 색상변화를 Figure 1과 같이 pH 6.2-8.0까지의 색상을 10등급으로 나누고 pH 7.0 수준을 표준색상으로 하여 색상 변화를 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 돼지 액상정액을 17℃에서 1, 3 및 5일 동안 각각 보관하였을 때 정자 활력은 71.9%, 59.8% 및 53.9%였으며, 이 때 pH 는 각각 6.89, 6.84 및 7.06으로 적정 색상을 나타내었다.
