This paper describes a low-cost omnidirectional camera system designed for the intruder detection capability of a security robot. Moving targets on sequential images are detected first by an adaptive background subtraction technique, and the targets are identified as intruders if they fail to enter a password within a preset time. A warning message is then sent to the owner's mobile phone. The owner can check scene pictures posted by the system on the web. The system developed worked well in experiments including a situation when the indoor lighting was suddenly changed.

The cause of crack on reinforced concrete structures is varied, while the studies, which have intended to analyze this in the material side, have been the mainstream so far. Therefore, in this study, we intended to suggest the proposals for enhancement of the system to reduce crack and to improve the quality of the reinforced concrete structures, by reviewing the cause of crack mainly in the structural aspect and analyzing the practices and the system. The result has been shown as following. (1) As one of the measures for improving the constructional system related to the structure, it is to enhance the relevant system so that design on construction, structure, and equipment, can be separately ordered or jointly ventured, and the owner or the agent of the owner can discuss and mediate the business in each specialized field. (2) Importance on construction supervision and new establishment of regulations related to structure supervision.

This paper investigates the sales process of treasury stocks, while most previous research studies treasury stock repurchases. The sales of treasury stocks are an important measure to protect management rights only in Korea, as Korea's laws and systems allow treasury stock sales according to the board's resolution and not by the decisions made at the general shareholders' meetings. The board's resolution, which considers the owner-manager's interest on management rights, can cause damages to small shareholders. Considering (i) the economic characteristics of treasury stocks, (ii) other countries' institutions and experiences, (iii) a theoretical assessment of the possibility of small shareholder losses, and (iv) lessons from Korea's actual instances, Korea's present system should be corrected at least in the mid and long term. Even in the short-term, rules pertaining to sales enacted by the board's resolution inducing small shareholder losses should be overhauled. The autonomous discipline by various stakeholders could be an ideal measure by which to monitor ownermanager's decisions. In addition, temporary intervention measures, such as government examinations, could be implemented to protect small shareholders.

A submittal, as a part of three main project management processes: production control, submittals and change orders, is the transmission of information from the subcontractor to the general contractor to the owner, architect, and structural engineer, for review and approval. The purpose of the submittal process is for submittals to be approved in order to start construction. This benefits the contractor by ensuring that the finished project will meet the expectations of the owner. This paper analyzed a case study regarding the submittal process for the local-based environmental construction company, which typically works as a subcontractor and may hire other subcontractors for additional work when applicable. The aim of this study was to roughly evaluate a project management process and understand the submittal process through the study of a case involving the local company.

Recently, remodeling has been a major field of the building construction that comes up for the alternatives of the reconstruction and the economical construction method. In the almost cases, the engineering capacity for the repair/rehabilitation of the remodeling should satisfy also the owner's various needs (eg, the minimum construction time, etc.) and the safety of the building. Also, the engineering and construction technique for remodeling should be applied to the contrary point of view of the general construction method. But, the many problem actually has arose from the wrongly applied construction method that is caused with the insufficient researches and development. Therefore, this study would suggest the necessities and the directions of developing the elementary engineering technique and the method that satisfy the owner's various needs for the remodeling and repair/rehabilitation of the multi-owned building as multiplex shop, with the successful construction cases.

Nowadays, public cloud storage is gaining popularity and a growing number of users are beginning to use the public cloud storage for online data storing and sharing. However, how the encrypted data stored in public clouds can be effectively shared becomes a new challenge. Proxy re-encryption is a public-key primitive that can delegate the decryption right from one user to another. In a proxy re-encryption system, a semi-trusted proxy authorized by a data owner is allowed to transform an encrypted data under the data owner's public key into a re-encrypted data under an authorized recipient's public key without seeing the underlying plaintext. Hence, the paradigm of proxy re-encryption provides a promising solution to effectively share encrypted data. In this paper, we propose a new certificate-based proxy re-encryption scheme for encrypted data sharing in public clouds. In the random oracle model, we formally prove that the proposed scheme achieves chosen-ciphertext security. The simulation results show that it is more efficient than the previous certificate-based proxy re-encryption schemes.

Construction delay is one of the basic constrains to achieve the project objectives in developing countries. This study aims to find the causes and effects of construction delays in developing countries. A thorough literature review has been done following the content analysis method. The relevant literature of 28 developing countries was collected from the scholarly journals published in the period of 2006 to 2016. The different developing countries are grouped into three geographic regions, i.e. South and Southeast Asia, Middle East, and Africa. In these regions, total 53 potential causes of delay under 8 major groups are identified. Frequency and ranking of these factors have been done. The factors, delay in progress payment by owner, contractors' cash flow problem, improper planning and scheduling, poor site management, and change order by owner during construction, are acknowledged as critical causes of delay in developing countries. This study will assist both academic and professional experts providing more insight about the construction delays and project management in developing countries.

In order to widen the radius of electric vehicle (EV) travel recharging points must be provided in sufficient numbers and at convenient places. The cost of providing side an infrastructure is at preset, not well documented and this lack of information acts as a detersent to prospective insestors in EV technology. This paper acts as a preliminancy investigation into the cost of infrastructure is the different situation i.e for the private owner, the fleet owner or for the public. It provides an overview of the items required and this relative costs. Cost will however, vary from country to country and application to application, and this paper two acts purely as guide to the type of equipment and its relative costs.

American options no doubt is invariably more popular than European options, due to the fact that it gives the owner the option to exercise a contract before and up to the expiration date, unlike an European option, which only allows the owner to exercise a contract on the date of expiration. Owing to its popularity, many methods like the binomial numerical method and the pseudo American method have been devised for computing of the value of the American options. This study synthesizes previous research accomplishments with analysis of problems and counterplan for the riparian forest zone management and ongoing research strategy is suggested. If a part of budgets for water use allotments is supported for forest watershed owner, this policy for the forest owner could encourage the forest management of watershed. Integrated riparian forest management guideline in city and county needs to be established for the implementation of government guidelines. Base on the guideline, working plans of city and county could be evaluated. Public Forest Tending Work for stream water quality and quantity conservation should be enlarged for forest watershed and forest area management in five big river watersheds. Forest watershed should be managed with a connected system for a pollutant reduction strategy in urban and industrial areas.
