카운터밸런스형 지게차에서의 안정도 해석 (Stability Analysis of Counterbalanced Forklift Trucks)

  • Forklift truck is a very convenient transportation vehicle and widely used in industries. However, a lot of overturn accidents occur during operation because of poor understanding on the stability of forklift trucks. The stability of a forklift is defined by the minimum slope of the ramp where a forklift truck overturns. According to the KS BISO 22915-2 code, the stability is determined from the four kinds of stability tests. The equations for the stability of a forklift truck were proposed already in several published literatures and the equations can be used conveniently to estimate the stability and examine the effects of design parameters in forklift trucks. However, because the detail derivation procedure was omitted, it is very difficult to examine the accuracy of the proposed equations and to modify the equations for other types of forklift trucks. In this paper the stability equations were derived again with detail derivations for the four kinds of stability tests. And the effects of acceleration or centrifugal forces were also additionally included in the equations and minor corrections were also made.

  • 오늘날 큰 선박 및 구조물은 블록 형태로 만들어지고 조립된다. 수천 톤의 큰 대형 선박은 도크 또는 육상에서 큰 블록을 조립함으로써 짧은 기간 내에 만들어 진다. 이동 과정에 경사면을 만나게 되면 이동물이 기울어지게 되고 기울어진 상태로 경사면을 통과하는 경우, 블록이 전복하는 사고가 종종 발생한다. 본 연구는 트렌스포터의 이송 중량물의 평면상에서 무게 중심을 구하고, 더불어 3차원 상의 무게 중심을 구한다. 또한, ZMP(Zero Moment Point)를 이용하여 물체가 넘어지는 각도를 예측하는 연구를 수행하였다. 특히 경사면에서 물체의 이송과정 안정성을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 확인하였다.

한강 여의도지구 수변공원 식재설계 (Landscape Planting Design for Yeoyido Flood Plain Park in Han-river)

  • It had been strictly prohibited to plant in waterway according to Korea laws and regulations. It was then made possible to plant by the modification law and regulation of 10/30/1997. In 2000, the Seoul metropolis government planted in the Yeoyido flood plain park in Han river by way of showing the model case. This planting design is for the Yeoyido flood plain park along the Han river, in Seoul. The design requirements were to create a pleasant rest area, to improve the surrounding landscape, and to create diverse ecological habitats by planting within the stability of flood flow. This design emphasizes the following design requirements that has positive effect on stabilizing flood flow. First, planting suitable in a area was determined by the speed of a current of less than 0.7m/sec under various numerical value simulations. Second, plants were selected in existing trees of the present and the past Han river, as well as the questionnaire results from landscape professional engineers and professors. Shade plants were planted in the large visiting areas so as to offer pleasant shade in the summer, the ecological planting pattern was applied in the area with low speed of flood flow, so as to aid the restoration of the natural ecological environment. It was found that the foresaid planting design verified the stability of flood flow and wind by overturn limit moment calculation. It is expected that this plan would serve environmentally friendly planting plans in flood plain park.

테트라포드 사방댐의 적용성 평가 -산청군 홍계리 지역을 대상으로- (Applicability Evaluation of Tetrapod Debris Barrier -A Case of Honggyeri Area in Sanchung County-)

  • In order to connect eco-corridor and to harmonize with natural environment, it is necessary to construct small debris barrier. Therefore, we will evaluate applicability of small debris barrier which made of tetrapod utilized in construction of seashore protection facilities and breakwater. From result compared with the adaptation processes in fields, tetrapod were stabilized to critical tractive force. Stability evaluation method on sliding and overturn of tetrapod debris barrier was developed, and hereafter could be applied to similar debris barriers. According to results analyzed to continuity on sediment supply in debris barrier, boulders were deposited in upstream and gravels were deposited in downstream. Therefore, tetrapod debris barrier will be able to prevent in the long-term the erosion of river bed in down-stream, and the maintenance is easy because dredging is not necessary. Current were formed in between the tetrapod provided eco-corridors for fishes and shellfishes.

The Shifts of Power in Gender Discourse: Approaching Bao Ninh's Short Stories and Svetlana Alexievich's Unwomanly Face of War from Feminist Narratology

  • This paper examines narratives of women's marginal position in Bao Ninh's Short Stories and Svetlana Alexievich's Unwomanly Face of War from a feminist narratological approach. In analyzing voices of marginalized women, direct and indirect descriptions of women's beauty and pain, and private-public narratives of women's love stories, this paper aims to identify presentations of women's real authority in the text written by a male author, Bao Ninh, and in the one by a female author. The paper argues that juxtaposing these texts reveals an overturn of the traditional conception of sexual and gender differences. Specifically, distinguishing between male/female discourse does not show powerful /nonpowerful language, but recognizes the real authority of each type of discourse based on sexual differences. The writing also illustrates that masculine language becomes powerless and deficient in the women's world; meanwhile, in writing about herself, woman establishes a type of a powerful feminine discourse, which blends both emotional, enthusiastic, and gossipy characteristics of female language and direct, rational, and strong ones of male language. Thus, the feminists' radical segregation on male/female discourses to overturn masculine authority and create a language for women at par with men has been clearly shifted when comparing the two writers' texts based on the juxtapositional model of the comparative literature.

  • Computer simulation was carried out to predict the motion and overturns of power tiller-trailer system this system when traveing over an obstacle on inclined planes. To estimate the effects of design factors (mass center of main body and wheel base), ground factors (ground inclination and height of obstacle), and operation factors (traveling velocity) on the sideways overturn, the motion of power tiller-trailer system was simulated as the factors were varied with five different levels.

이동식 크레인 사고사망재해 심층분석 연구 (A study on Cause Analyses of Fatal injuries by the Mobile Cranes)

  • In this study, the current regulations to be adequate in industrial site have to be renew in order to prevent the fatal injuries by mobile cranes. Fatal injury analyses were conducted with several accident cases by the mobile cranes. For each accident, the causes of the injuries were examined and proper safety measures were proposed. This study proposed a revision of the standard guideline as an accident prevention measures through in-depth analysis of fatal accidents. First, fatality rate per 10,000 persons by the mobiles cranes was 0.57 in 2011. Second, the in-depth analysis of the mobile crane accidents showed that the main factors of the accidents were the overturn of mobile crane, the fracture of connection part between mobile crane boom and rope, the breaking of rope and the misunderstanding over the signal between a mobile crane driver and workers around a mobile crane. Third, the order of high defection of connecting parts was bucket bolt, bracket and extension parts. Fourth, since there were several cases of overturn of mobile crane by itself in the in-depth analysis of the mobile crane, the over slop-proof device was proposed as the main alternative in this study. Fifth, the revision of standards of safety factor that shall be more than 10, of connecting parts of mobile crane was proposed.

현장 인발시험을 통한 수목의 한계 전도모멘트 검토 (Investigation of Critical Breaking Moment through Field Tree-Pulling Test)

  • 하천에서 수목의 관리를 위해서는 수목이 홍수에 미치는 영향이나 생태적 특성을 고려하여 대책을 수립하여야 한다. 수목에 의한 수리학적 영향은 통수능 감소와 유수력에 의한 전도로 인한 하류 하천시설물의 기능 저해이다. 현장 인발시험은 수목이 전도될 때의 최대 저항력을 측정하여, 하천 내의 수목이 외력에 저항하는 정도를 파악하기 위해 시행하였다. 수목의 전도모멘트를 파악하기 위한 인자는 수목의 외형적 특성인 수종, 흉고직경, 수고 등이며, 본 연구에서는 전도모멘트와 흉고 직경의 상관관계를 이용하였다. 수목의 한계 전도모멘트는 흉고직경 4.9-32.8 cm의 관목과 교목 100주를 바탕으로 검토되었다. 교목과 관목을 함께 고려할 경우에는 흉고직경과 한계 전도모멘트의 상관관계를 도출하기 어려웠다. 그러나 교목만을 고려할 경우에는 흉고직경과 한계 전도모멘트 사이에 일정한 상관관계가 있음을 확인하였다.

인공호에서 수온의 수직분포와 수층혼합의 계절적 변화 및 중층수 유입 현상의 영향 (Seasonal Patterns of Reservoir Thermal Structure and Water Column Mixis and Their Modifications by Interflow Current)

  • 본 연구는 1993년 4월부터 1994년 11월까지 대청호 17개 조사지점에서 수온 성충 및 수체 혼합 현상을 평가하였다. 조사기간 동안 하절기 장마 강도의 차이는 뚜렷한 수리 수문학적 연 변화를 가져왔다. 1993년 하절기에 이론적 평균 수체류 시간은 27일로서, 1994년 하절기 (125일)에 비해 3개월 이상 짧았다. 1993년에 수온 성층화와 수층혼합 정도를 조절하는 중요한 물리적 요인은 밀도가 높은 중층수 유입현상(Interflow current)에 의한 것으로 평가되었다. 1993년 하절기동안 상류 유입수는 호수 중류역 (댐으로 부터 27km 부근)에서 수직 하강되어 10${\sim}$20 m 수층을 통과함으로써 표충수인 호수물과는 혼합되지않는 현상을 보였다. 중층수 유입은 수온 성층화 현상의 약화, 하류역의 중층-심층에서 평균 $4^{\circ}C$ 이상의 온도상승 효과 및 13 m 이상의 수층혼합을 가져왔다. 전자와 비교해볼 때, 1994년 하절기 중층수 유입현상은 관측되지 않았으며, 호수전체에 강한 성층이 형성되고 있음을 보였다. 1993년 온도 저항력 (Thermal resistance)은 $4.0\;{\time}\;10^5\;erg$로서, 1994년의 값($8.2\;{\time}\;10^5\;erg$)에 비해 절반 수준을 보임으로서, 수체의 물리적 불안정 상태를 시사하였다. 본 호수는 연중 겨울에 1회 수층혼합을 보이는 Warm monomixis 특성을 보였으나, 두해 사이의 수충혼합 시기는 차이를 보였다. 1993년 수층혼합은 1994년에 비해 약 1개월 일찍 일어났다. 하절기 동안 심충 수온 변화(Y)는 댐으로부터의 방류량(X)에 의해 98%까지 설명되었다($Y=4.35-0.06X+0.10X^2$, f<0.0001), 총체적으로 본 수체에서 수온 안정성, 수층혼합 시기 및 수 체류시간은 1차적으로 하절기 몬순 강도에 의해 조절되는 것으로 사료된다.

Simulation of Sea Water Response in Deukryang Bay to Typhoon Using the Princeton Ocean Model

  • The Princeton ocean model (POM) with free surface in sigma-coordinate, governed by primitive equations, is used to examine the response of sea water in Deukryang Bay to a typhoon. The model reproduces reasonably well the main features in the wind-driven dynamics due to passing of a typhoon. In response to the wind, the coastal jet develops and the upwelling(or downwelling) occurs dominantly in both sides of the bay. This result implies that there should be an overturn in the bay water with the passing of typhoons. Numerical results of POM are also compared to those of a depth-averaged model. From the comparison, it is postulated that the bottom drag coefficient conventionally used for the two-dimensional flow models is inadequate due to overestimation of the computed current field.
