Purpose : The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the overseas volunteer activities of university students on changes in global citizenship. Methods : This study was conducted as a one-group pre-posttest design. The study's subjects were students who participated in the 37th World Friends Korea Youth Volunteer Corps in 2018. Among them, 158 students who completed the survey were included in the analysis. The tool for measuring global citizenship was comprised of knowledge, skill, attitude, and willingness to practice. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 26.0 program, and the statistical significance was set to p<.05. Results : Among the study's participants, there were 123 females (77.85 %). By grade, there were the most juniors, with 68 (43.04 %). There were 53 (33.55 %) seniors, 28 (18.35 %) sophomores, and eight freshmen (5.06 %). Among all participants, 52.53 % had experience in global citizenship education, and 63.92 % had experience in activities related to global citizenship. Because of analyzing the changes in global citizenship before and after overseas volunteer activities, "skill" increased the most, from 3.51±.65 points to 4.34±.56 points (p< .001). Due to analyzing changes in global citizenship before and after overseas volunteerism, the knowledge and attitude of freshmen were statistically significantly positive, with 1.17± 1.23 (p=.011) and 1.41±1.22 (p=.008), respectively. Participants with global citizenship experience had a significant change in attitude (p=.018). Conclusion : It was confirmed that the overseas volunteer activities of undergraduate students in the university brought a positive change to global citizenship. Providing opportunities for global citizenship education and activities in elementary, middle, and high schools in the future will maximize the effects of overseas volunteer activities to improve global citizenship.

본 연구는 단기해외봉사활동에 참여하였던 대학생을 대상으로 봉사활동경험의 의미와 본질을 탐구하고자 수행되었다. 자료는 K도에 소재한 일부 대학에 재학 중인 학생 14명을 2020년 5월 5일부터 8월 30일까지 면대면 심층면담을 통해 수집되었다. 면담자료는 Colaizzi(1978)의 현상학적 방법을 사용하여 분석하였으며 자료 분석 결과 10개 주제와 5개의 범주가 도출되었다. 5개 범주는 '해외봉사활동에 대한 기대감을 가짐', '환경은 다르지만 수용하며 다가감', '예상하지 못한 상황에 당황스러움', '활동의 한계를 자각함', '더 넓은 시야로 바라보게 됨'이다. 본 연구에서 대학생은 해외봉사활동을 통해 새로운 세계를 접하고 환경은 다르지만 수용하고 적응하면서 글로벌 시대에 필요한 좀 더 폭넓은 시야를 갖는 계기를 마련하였다.

베이비부머의 은퇴로 인해 경제적 활동에서 대거 이탈한 전문직 은퇴인력의 활용은 현시대적 과제이며 사회적 이슈로 부각되고 있다. 본 연구는 전문직 은퇴자의 NGO 해외봉사 경험에 대한 인식을 탐구하여 전문직 은퇴인력의 활용방안을 모색해 보고자 한다. 본 연구는 포토보이스를 활용한 질적 연구이며, 연구 참여자는 NGO 해외봉사경험이 있는 전문직 정년 은퇴자들이다. 집단 활동과 개인면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였고, 참여적 분석법과 주제 분석법으로 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과 도출된 인식은 NGO 해외봉사는 안전하고 국가위상을 높이는 최고의 일자리이며, 이에 대한 정보를 은퇴교육에서 제공받기 원한다는 것이었다. 결론에서 NGO 해외봉사의 확대를 위한 은퇴교육을 공기업뿐아니라 일반 직장에서도 실시하여 은퇴 전에 준비하는 지원방안에 대해 논의하였으며, 은퇴자의 해외봉사를 전담하기 위한 [은퇴자 NGO 해외봉사 정보서비스 센터]의 운영을 제언하였다. 본 연구는 전문직 은퇴자의 NGO 해외봉사의 경험에 대한 인식을 통하여 은퇴 이후 노년기 사회복지 정책적 대안 마련의 기초자료를 제시함에 의의를 가진다.

This study investigated the current status and educational needs of global health education (GHE) at medical schools in Korea. Among the 40 medical schools nationwide, 32 schools that agreed to participate in the study collected data through a survey in 2022, and the results were examined by frequency analysis and content analysis. In total, 87.5% of medical schools included global health-related graduation outcomes. In the curriculum, global health lessons within courses were present at 71.9% of medical schools. Regarding extracurricular activities, 66.7% and 63.0% of medical schools offered overseas clerkships and overseas volunteer work, respectively. Although there were not many medical schools with a global health-related educational environment, 96.9% of schools agreed with the necessity of GHE in medical education. The prevailing opinion was that it was appropriate to continuously cover GHE as lessons within courses throughout all years of the program in medical education. The main opinions regarding the improvement of GHE related to curriculum development, personnel expansion, and awareness improvement at medical schools. These findings are expected to serve as a basis for identifying the current status of GHE at Korean medical schools and specifying future directions of GHE.

본 연구에서 제안되는 세종시립도서관 정보서비스 및 프로그램은 국내 지역대표도서관 및 해외도서관 사례들을 종합하여 제안한다. 제안의 특징으로 첫째, 세종시립도서관에서 제공가능한 정보서비스를 영역별, 이용자별, 자료 유형별, 매체별, 협력기관별 등으로 다양하게 제안한다. 둘째, 생애주기별 이용자프로그램을 강화하여 독서토론, 독서체험, 독서 이벤트 등의 다양한 연령별·관심별 독서 프로그램을 제공한다. 성인, 어린이, 가족프로그램 등 세종시 인구 특성을 반영한 이용자 기반의 프로그램을 강화한다. 셋째, 메이커스페이스 공간을 확보하여 활용한다. 넷째, 세종시립도서관에서 개발한 독서 프로그램을 지역 도서관과 협력하여 홍보 및 공유한다. 다섯째, 세종시 지역주민의 봉사 활동 및 재능 기부 등의 참여를 유도한다. 여섯째, 도서관 웹사이트, 소셜 미디어 등을 활용한 도서관 정보서비스를 제안하고, 이용자와의 상호 협력 채널을 개발한다.

체계적이고 적극적인 재난관리가 중요해지는 현 상황에서 국내 도서관은 독자적인 재난관리계획이나 지원체계 등이 부재한 것이 현실이다. 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위해 본 연구에서는 해외사례를 살펴보았다. 그 중에서도 지정학적으로 다양한 재난에 노출되어 있어 관련 사례와 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있는 일본을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 특히, 동일본대지진 이후 구축된 민관 협력 사례들을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 일본도서관협회의 도서관재해대책위원회와 자발적으로 결집된 전문가 네트워크인 saveMALK을 중심으로 2개의 사례를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 일본도서관협회에서 조직한 도서관재해대책위원회는 기부와 자원봉사활동을 체계적으로 수행할 수 있도록 중심 역할을 수행하였으며, saveMALK는 관련 전문가들이 집단지성을 형성하여 정보를 수집·공유하는 역할을 수행한 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 일본 사례분석을 통해 협력형 재난관리 체계 구축에 긍정적 시사점을 발견할 수 있다.
