  • This paper proposes a novel multimodal optimization method, Coupling particles swarm optimization (PSO), to find all optima in design space. This method based on the conventional Particle Swarm Optimization with modifications. The Coupling method is applied to make a couple from main particle and then each couple of particles searches its own optimum by using non-stop-moving PSO. We tested out our method and other one, such as ClusteringParticle Swarm Optimization and Niche Particle Swarm Optimization, on three analytic functions. The Coupling Particle Swarm Optimization is also applied to solve a significant benchmark problem, the TEAM workshop benchmark problem 22

  • Coupling optical modulator which on the $LiTaO_3$ substrate is fabricated by using proton exchange method and self-aligned method. Proton exchange of proton diffusion method was applied to pattern a waveguide on $LiTaO_3$ substrate. The annealing at >$400^{\circ}C$ was carded out to control waveguide width and depth. The depths of the two annealed optical waveguides, which were measured by using .alpha.-step, were 1.435 K.angs. and 1.380 K.angs. Using .alpha.-step facility, we examined that the width of waveguides is increased from 5.mu.m to 6.45 .mu.m and 6.3.mu.m due to the annealing effects. The process of proton exchange was done at 150.deg. C for 120 min, >$200^{\circ}C$ for 60 min and annealing process was done at >$400^{\circ}C$ for 90 min, >$400^{\circ}C$ for 60 min. The high speed coupling optical modulator has very good figures of merits; the measured high frequency power were achieved.

  • In this paper, a numerical application algorithm for applying the CFAM (Consistent Fluid Added Mass) matrix for a core seismic analysis is developed and applied to the 7-ducts core system to investigate the fluid effects on the dynamic characteristics and the seismic time history responses. To this end, three cases such as the in-air condition, the in-water condition without the fluid coupling terms, and the in-water condition with the fluid coupling terms are considered in this paper. From modal analysis, the core duct assemblies revealed strongly coupled out-of-phase vibration modes unlike the other cases with the fluid coupling terms considered. From the results of the seismic time history analysis, it was also verified that the fluid coupling terms in the CFAM matrix can significantly affect the impact responses and the seismic displacement responses of the ducts.

  • Nowadays, the demand of energy saving is increasing more and more while the natural resources have been exhausted. Besides, the emission gas caused by vehicles has been being a serious environment problem. Therefore, many studies have been carried out, especially focusing on braking energy regeneration, in order to save energy as well as reduce emission of mobile vehicles. In this paper, we propose a closed-loop hydrostatic transmission for braking energy regeneration with two configurations to reduce the energy consumption by recovering the braking energy. The effectiveness of the proposed system was verified by simulation. The simulation results indicated that the pressure coupling configuration gave better performance in comparison to flow coupling configuration about 40.8%, 61.7% and 53.8% reduction of fuel consumption in 10 mode, 10 mode modified profile and highway schedules, respectively.

  • This study attempted to the effect on the physical performance of silane coupling agent on solventless epoxy-based concrete surface finishing material for parking floor. Tests were carried out in accordance with KS F 4041 and KS F 4937. The results of compressive strength, flexural compressive are 95.6N/㎟, 25.4N/㎟ and after wheel moving load testing, average abrasive depth is 0.96mm, these results satisfied the quality standard of KS F 4041, KS F 4937. As conclusion, this study confirmed that the silane coupling agent greatly effected on the physical performance of solventless epoxy resin.

  • We have reported the reaction probability, integral reaction cross section, and rate constant for the title system calculated with the aid of a time-dependent wave packet approach. The ab initio potential energy surface (PES) of Prudente et al. (Chem. Phys. Lett. 2009, 474, 18) is employed for the purpose. The calculations are carried out over the collision energy range of 0.05-1.4 eV for the two reaction channels of H + LiH ${\rightarrow}$ Li + $H_2$ and $H_b$ + $LiH_a$ ${\rightarrow}$ $LiH_b$ + $H_a$. The Coriolis coupling (CC) effect are taken into account. The importance of including the Coriolis coupling quantum scattering calculations are revealed by the comparison between the Coriolis coupling and the centrifugal sudden (CS) approximation calculations.

  • The rotor drive system in rotor-craft carries out power transmission from powerplant to rotors and the drive shafts are fallen into misaligned condition by the vibration of engine and shafts and the deformation of supporting structures. The high performance flexible coupling accommodates these misalignments of drive shafts. In this study, we compare the performance of the metalic flexible coupling with the composite flexible coupling through analytic method to develop the high performance flexible coupling used in the rotor drive system of UAV tilt-rotor.

  • We developed a new configuration of polarized light out-coupling lightguide plate (LGP) in the LCD backlight. By collimating the light into the LGP, one linear polarization component experienced total internal reflection at the planar interface of LGP and anisotropic layer, whereas the orthogonal polarization was out-coupled in the normal direction through a birefringent layer and subsequent isotropic microstructures.

Temperature measured with thermistor needle at skin. subcutaneous, muscle in before coupling media application, after coupling media application. 2minutes. 5minutes, 7minutes, 10minutes. Coupling media was used gel, glycerin, distilled water. The data was analyzed using spss/pc+and t-test The results were as fallow : 1. With skin. gel was significant temperature change in 2minutes(p<.05). glycerin was significant temperature change in 2minutes(p<.05), 5minutes(p<.05), 7minutes(p<.01), 10minutes(p<.01). distilled water was significant temperature change in post coupling media(p<.05), 2minutes(p<.01). 5minutes(p<.05). 7minutes(p<.01). 10minutes(p<.01). With subcutaneous. gel was no temperature change. glycerin was significant temperature change in 2minutes(p<.05), 5minutes(p<.05), 10minutes(p<.01). distilled water was no temperature change. With muscle. gel was no temperature change. glycerin was significant temperature change in 2minutes(p<.05). 5minutes(p<.05). 7minutes(p<.05). 10minutes( p<.05). distilled water was significant temperature change in 10minutes(p<.05). 2. Superficial heats of skin and subcutaneous was higher temperature change than Deep heats of muscle. 3. Gel. glycerin. distilled Water required minimum treatment 10minutes fur thermal effect. 4. Gel was low temperature change superficial and deep heats. and glycerin was high temperature change superficial and deep heats. This results show that gel is high transmissiveness in the coupling media and glycerin is low transmissiveness in the coupling media.
