In this paper, we consider the structure of ${\gamma}$-constacyclic codes of length $2p^s$ over the Galois ring $GR(p^a,m)$ for any unit ${\gamma}$ of the form ${\xi}_0+p{\xi}_1+p^2z$, where $z{\in}GR(p^a,m)$ and ${\xi}_0$, ${\xi}_1$ are nonzero elements of the set ${\mathcal{T}}(p,m)$. Here ${\mathcal{T}}(p,m)$ denotes a complete set of representatives of the cosets ${\frac{GR(p^a,m)}{pGR(p^a,m)}}={\mathbb{F}}p^m$ in $GR(p^a,m)$. When ${\gamma}$ is not a square, the rings ${\mathcal{R}}_p(a,m,{\gamma})=\frac{GR(p^a,m)[x]}{{\langle}x^2p^s-{\gamma}{\rangle}}$ is a chain ring with maximal ideal ${\langle}x^2-{\delta}{\rangle}$, where ${\delta}p^s={\xi}_0$, and the number of codewords of ${\gamma}$-constacyclic code are provided. Furthermore, the self-orthogonal and self-dual ${\gamma}$-constacyclic codes of length $2p^s$ over $GR(p^a,m)$ are also established. Finally, we determine the Rosenbloom-Tsfasman (RT) distances and weight distributions of all such codes.

A photovoltaic device consisting of arrays of radial p-n junction wires enables a decoupling of the requirements for light absorption and carrier extraction into orthogonal spatial directions. Each individual p-n junction wire in the cell is long in the direction of incident light, allowing for effective light absorption, but thin in orthogonal direction, allowing for effective carrier collection. To fabricate radial p-n junction solar cells, p or n-type vertical Si wire cores need to be produced. The majority of Si wires are produced by the vapor-liquid-solid (VLS) method. But contamination of the Si wires by metallic impurities such as Au, which is used for metal catalyst in the VLS technique, results in reduction of conversion efficiency of solar cells. To overcome impurity issue, top-down methods like noble metal catalytic etching is an excellent candidate. We used noble metal catalytic etching methods to make Si wire arrays. The used noble metal is two; Au and Pt. The method is noble metal deposition on photolithographycally defined Si surface by sputtering and then etching in various BOE and $H_2O_2$ solutions. The Si substrates were p-type ($10{\sim}20ohm{\cdot}cm$). The areas that noble metal was not deposited due to photo resist covering were not etched in noble metal catalytic etching. The Si wires of several tens of ${\mu}m$ in height were formed in uncovered areas by photo resist. The side surface of Si wires was very rough. When the distance of Si wires is longer than diameter of that Si nanowires are formed between Si wires. Theses Si nanowires can be removed by immersing the specimen in KOH solution. The optimum noble metal thickness exists for Si wires fabrication. The thicker or the thinner noble metal than the optimum thickness could not show well defined Si wire arrays. The solution composition observed in the highest etching rate was BOE(16.3ml)/$H_2O_2$(0.44M) in Au assisted chemical etching method. The morphology difference was compared between Au and Pt metal assisted chemical etching. The efficiencies of radial p-n junction solar Cells made of the Si wire arrays were also measured.

I. Purpose Brachytherapy is the main component in treatment of patients with uterine cervical cancer. The reproducibility of applicator position in the same patient at repeated treatments was very important for accurate dose delivery. It was aimed to evaluate the change of applicator location between each high dose rate(HDR) brachytherapy insertion in the patients with uterine cervical cancer. II. Materials and Methods From January 1999 to October 2001, total 52 patients were treated with external beam radiotherapy and HDR brachytherapy (Microselectron, Nucletron). During six to seven times of brachytherapy, all patients had three treatment plans. From the orthogonal radiographs, we measured the following variables; height from upper border of pubic bone to os (HPO), distance from sacral promontory to tip of tandem (DST), distance from coccyx to os (DCO), distance from tip of right ovoid to os (DRO), distance from tip of left ovoid to os (DLO), and distance from center of the first tandem source to ovoid (DTO). To evaluate the reproducibility of applicator position, it was calculated the standard deviation of differences between three insertions for the 7 parameters in each patient. III. Results The ranges of standard deviations of interfractional differences for the variables were as follows. 1)HPO : $0{\sim}0.79cm$ 2)DST : $0{\sim}0.9cm$ 3)DCO : $0.06{\sim}0.76cm$ 4)DRO : $0{\sim}0.53cm$ 5)DLO : $0{\sim}0.45cm$ 6) DTO $0{\sim}0.36cm$ IV. Conclusions There was some change in applicator position on repeated implants in our study. But variation of the interfractional differences was minimal; in all parameters, there were less than 1 cm. We are continued to try for reducing the geometric variation between each procedure.

In this study, we designed, measured, and analyzed a rearranged L-shape magnetic resonance coupling wireless power transfer (MR-WPT) system for practical applications with laptops. The typical four resonator MR-WPT (Tx part: source loop and Tx coil; Rx part: Rx coil and load loop) is difficult to apply to small-sized stationary and mobile applications, such as laptop computers, tablet-PCs, and smartphones, owing to the large volume of the Rx part and the spatial restrictions of the Tx and Rx coils. Therefore, an L-shape structure, which is the orthogonal arrangement of the Tx and Rx parts, is proposed for indoor environment applications, such as at an L-shaped wall or desk. The relatively large Tx part and Rx coil can be installed in the wall and the desk, respectively, while the load loop is embedded in the small stationary or mobile devices. The transfer efficiency (TE) of the proposed system was measured according to the transfer distance (TD) and the misaligned locations of the load loop. In addition, we measured the TE in the active/non-active state and monitor-open/closed state of the laptop computer. The overall highest TE of the L-shape MR-WPT was 61.43% at 45 cm TD, and the TE decreased to 27.9% in the active and monitor-open state of the laptop computer. The conductive ground plane has a much higher impact on the performance when compared to the impact of the active/non-active states. We verified the characteristics and practical benefits of the proposed L-shape MR-WPT compared to the typical MR-WPT for applications to L-shaped corners.
Historical earthquakes have shown that successive seismic events may occur in regions of high seismicity. Such a sequence of earthquakes has the potential to increase the damage level of the structures, since any rehabilitation between the successive ground motions is practically impossible due to lack of time. Few studies about this issue can be found in literature, most of which focused their attention on the seismic response of SDOF systems or planar frame structures. The aim of the present study is to examine the impact of seismic sequences on the damage level of 3D multistorey R/C buildings with various structural systems. For the purposes of the above investigation a comprehensive assessment is conducted using three double-symmetric and three asymmetric in plan medium-rise R/C buildings, which are designed on the basis of the current seismic codes. The buildings are analyzed by nonlinear time response analysis using 80 bidirectional seismic sequences. In order to account for the variable orientation of the seismic motion, the two horizontal accelerograms of each earthquake record are applied along horizontal orthogonal axes forming 12 different angles with the structural axes. The assessment of the results revealed that successive ground motions can lead to significant increase of the structural damage compared to the damage caused by the corresponding single seismic events. Furthermore, the incident angle can radically alter the successive earthquake phenomenon depending on the special characteristics of the structure, the number of the sequential earthquakes, as well as the distance of the record from the fault.

The low power consumption is the most important design factor for the In-Body communication system of WBAN. The conventional PSSK (Phase-Silence-Shift-keying) modulation technique can be regarded as an extension from PSK modulation. And this PSSK has better power efficiency than PSK modulation, and higher spectral efficiency than FSK modulation. PSSK modulation is to transmit two orthogonal symbols. The transmission power can be lowered because the symbol rate in signal period becomes half. BER performance is improved because transmission power is lower and the modulation symbol distance is widened. In addition, PSSK preserve the low-power and increase the data rate than FSK. In this paper, we analyzed existing PSSK and like to propose a new PSPM (Phase-Shift-Position-Modulation) modulation scheme. This PSPM is evaluated in terms of considered bandwidth efficiency and BER performance, compared with the PSSK. This PSPM modulation method transmits the information data by both PSK symbol data and symbol position data, so that we can significantly improve the power efficiency. New proposed PSPM method could be very useful for the In-body communication that requires the most power efficient system.

MB-OFDM (Multiband-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) UWB (ultra wide band) system uses DCM (dual carrier modulation) scheme to achieve high-data rate transmission. The basic idea of DCM is that to transmit the 4 bits more reliably two 16-QAM (quadrature amplitude modulation) symbols are used and the two 16-QAM sysmbols are allocated to each subcarrier of OFDM with maximum-distance. In the case of using the DCM, if one 16-QAM symbol is broken by deep fadding channel, a receiver can detect the transmitted signal by using another 16-QAM symbol. In the conventional ML(maximum likelihood) decision scheme, since the receiver does not use the CSI (channel state information), loss in diversity can not be reduced. In this paper, we propose improved soft-decision scheme with CSI for higher performance of MB-OFDM UWB systemn.
In conventional cooperative communication data rate is 1/2 than non cooperative protocols. In this paper, we propose a full data rate DF (Decode and Forward) cooperative transmission scheme. Proposed scheme is based on time division multiplexing (TDM) channel access. When DF protocol has full data rate, it can not obtain diversity gain under the pairwise error probability (PEP) view point. If it increases time slot to obtain diversity gain, then data rate is reduced. The proposed algorithm uses orthogonal frequency and constellation rotation to obtain both full data rate and diversity order 2. Moreover, performance is analyzed according to distance and optimized components that affect the system performance by using computer simulation. The simulation results revealed that the cooperation can save the network power up to 7dB over direct transmission and 5dB over multi-hop transmission at BER of $10^{-2}$. Besides, it can improve date rate of system compared with the conventional DF protocol.

High dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy in the treatment of cervix carcinoma has become popular, because it eliminated many of the problems with conventional brachytherapy. In order to improve clinical effectiveness with HDR brachytherapy, dose calculation algorithm, optimization procedures, and image registrations should be verified by comparing the dose distributions from a planning computer and those from a humanoid phantom irradiated. Therefore, the humanoid phantom should be designed such that the dose distributions could be quantitatively evaluated by utilizing the dosimeters with high spatial resolution. Therefore, the small size of thermoluminescent dosimeter (TLD) chips with the dimension of 1/8" and film dosimetry with spatial resolution of <1mm used to measure the radiation dosages in the phantom. The humanoid phantom called a pelvic phantom is made of water and tissue-equivalent acrylic plates. In order to firmly hold the HDR applicators in the water phantom, the applicators are inserted into the grooves of the applicator supporters. The dose distributions around the applicators, such as Point A and B, can be measured by placing a series of TLD chips (TLD-to- TLD distance: 5mm) in three TLD holders, and placing three verification films in orthogonal planes.
This study evaluated the static and dynamic shear strength of cast-in-place anchors reinforced with hairpin bars in uncracked and cracked concrete. The anchors 30mm in diameter reinforced with D10 hairpin bar were designed with an edge distance of 150mm and an embedment depth of 240mm. The cracked specimens consisted of the orthogonal and parallel cracks to the direction of shear loads, respectively. The dynamic strength was evaluated using seismic qualification tests based on the ACI 355.2 standard. The shear strength of the hairpin reinforced anchor was hardly correlated to the concrete cracks and the dynamic strength was similar to its static shear strength. Finally, a consideration on the design strength of hairpin reinforced anchors was presented.
