This study examines changes in consumer perceptions of fashion shows, which are critical elements in the apparel industry and a means to represent a brand's image and originality. For this purpose, big data in clothing marketing, text mining, semantic network analysis techniques were applied. This study aims to verify the effectiveness and significance of fashion shows in an effort to give directions for their future utilization. The study was conducted in two major stages. First, data collection with the key word, "fashion shows," was conducted across websites, including Naver and Daum between 2015 and 2018. The data collection period was divided into the first- and second-half periods. Next, Textom 3.0 was utilized for data refinement, text mining, and word clouding. The Ucinet 6.0 and NetDraw, were used for semantic network analysis, degree centrality, CONCOR analysis and also visualization. The level of interest in "models" was found to be the highest among the perception factors related to fashion shows in both periods. In the first-half period, the consumer interests focused on detailed visual stimulants such as model and clothing while in the second-half period, perceptions changed as the value of designers and brands were increasingly recognized over time. The findings of this study can be utilized as a tool to evaluate fashion shows, the apparel industry sectors, and the marketing methods. Additionally, it can also be used as a theoretical framework for big data analysis and as a basis of strategies and research in industrial developments.

Advances in technologies about 3D (three-dimensional) printing and smart factory related issues will have the effect of reducing the cost of building a smart factory and making various types of service available. Manufacturers and service providers of small assets work with outside experts to provide small amounts of customized ordering services. If customers have to disclose their private information to subscribe to a new service, they may be reluctant to use it and the availability of developed technology may cause slow progress. We propose a new protocol for customized order service for smart factory. The proposed approach is designed to meet requirements of security and based on smart contract in IoT convergence network. We analyzed the requirements of the proposed approach which provided anonymity, privacy, fairness, and non-repudiation. We compared it with closely related studies to show originality and differences.

This study aimed to propose a fashion design development method using the external and internal characteristics of the flower and bird paintings in traditional Korean folk paintings. As a research method, external and internal characteristics of folk paintings were examined through previous studies and literature research, and folk painting patterns were developed into digital textile designs. Five 3D digital fashion designs were proposed using the CLO 3D program. The external characteristics of folk paintings were as follows: simplification and planarization of object representation, diversification of viewpoints, ignorance of perspective and symmetrical enumeration, strong colors and contrast effects, and the simultaneous representation of time. The internal characteristics of folk paintings were as follows: symbolic meaning, the beauty of free humor, modest aesthetics, complexity of reality and fantasy, and desire of shamanism. The results are as follows. Firstly, the flower and bird painting was a decorative painting style that emphasized decorative beauty and was suitable for developing fashion designs with Korean originality because of the symbolic and internal meanings. Simple layouts and bold free-spirited representations were effective ways to fill the screen with objects and gave the pattern a decorative effect. Secondly, developing a virtual clothing prototype based on digital design method using the external and internal characteristics of folk paintings and producing realistic fashion designs suggest the integrated use of science and technology, embodying modern fashion through the combination of digital fashion content and traditional cultural content. Thirdly, as a result of the development of 3D digital fashion designs, an eco-friendly and sustainable fashion design methods with virtual clothing can suggest a design development method that saves time and cost in the fashion design process while considering the environment.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the meanings that pre-service secondary physical education teachers attach to learning-centered teaching through metaphor analysis and to examine their perceptions of the application of learning-centered teaching in physical education. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, a survey was conducted to express the perception of learning-centered teaching in metaphors. The data analysis was processed through the process of coding, metaphor classification, determining the unit of analysis, and categorisation of the sample according to the metaphor analysis method. As a result, four major categories of educational needs, educational goals and contents, teaching and learning methods and evaluation, teacher education and roles, and eight content types were derived: lessons for self-actualisation, lessons for preparing for future society, lessons that foster creativity, open and diverse lessons, lessons that stimulate curiosity and interest, lessons that are suitable for individual development and characteristics, lessons that are burdensome to implement, and lessons that require teacher creativity and originality. The results of this study provide implications for the necessity and direction of learning-centered class.
Purpose - Although many existing studies on the US-China hegemonic conflict and decoupling have been published, most of them are qualitative and use descriptive analysis methods. Papers that quantitatively analyzed decoupling mainly estimate the effect of a tariff increase. However, this paper quantitatively analyzed the ripple effect by focusing on decoupling technology spillover between the United States and China. And, for the first time, it was suggested that the blocking of technology spillover could give a fatal blow to the East Asian economy as well as China. Design/methodology - The United States is pursuing decoupling with China, primarily in goods trade and blocking technology transfer. This paper sets up various scenarios and uses three computational general equilibrium (CGE) models to analyze the overall ripple effects of decoupling. A paper using the three CGE models for decoupling ripple effect analysis has not yet been published. Findings - Decoupling will hit the economies of regions with close economic ties to China more than others. According to simulation results of this study, the Chinese economy may suffer severe damage that is difficult to recover from, and the economies of Asian countries are predicted to deteriorate to the point of being choked. Originality/value - Existing papers that assessed the effect of decoupling mostly focus on estimating the effect itself through tariff hikes. This paper is meaningful in that it comprehensively analyzed decoupling by adding the effect of technology spillover blockade. In addition, another meaning can be found in that it quantified for the first time that it will deal a huge blow to the extent of choking the East Asian economy as well as China.
Purpose - The purpose of this study is to identify the factors of shocking events in the career aspect experienced by Korean workers in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, and to find out whether these career shocks affect individual perceptions of the importance of subjective career success. Design/methodology/approach - In the survey of 146 respondents, the career shock events experienced in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic were largely divided into three categories; 'work change', 'employment anxiety', and 'life anxiety'. For the subjective career success, seven dimensions - 'financial security', 'financial achievement', 'entrepreneurship', 'positive relationship', 'positive impact', 'learning and development', 'work-life balance' - were used. Findings - As a result, there was no difference in the perception of subjective career success due to the experience of 'work change' during the Covid-19 period. However, the respondents who experienced 'employment anxiety' came to recognize that 'financial security' and 'financial achievement' were more increasing in terms of the degree of difference of importance. And respondents who experienced 'lifetime anxiety' perceived that the degree of difference of importance was increasing in the six dimensions except for 'social influence'. Particularly, the increase in the importance of 'work-life balance' and 'positive relationship' was found to be the greatest among the career success dimensions. Research implications or Originality - Finally, it was concluded that changes in the external environment such as Covid-19 pandemic influence as a career shock and affect the level of importance in subjective career success perception. Based on the results, the theoretical implication on current career study and some practical implications for organizational career management were suggested.
Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to examine whether firms use social media to disseminate good news to various stakeholders thereby enhancing corporate social performance (CSP). Design/methodology/approach - This study collected data from various databases such as Korea Economic Justice Institute (KEJI) Index, VALUESearch, and TS2000, and such social media platforms as Instagram and Meta (formerly known as facebook). The sample of this study includes 3,474(firm-year) observations from 799 unique Korean firms between 2013-2022. This study conducts fixed effect panel regression analysis to test the hypotheses. Findings - First, we found both corporate use of social media, and the number of uploaded corporate news on social media were positively related to CSP. We also found that positive user reactions to the news on social media were positively related to CSP. Second, we examine the moderating roles of firm age in the relationships described above. The results show that firm age strengthens both the relationship between number of uploaded news on social media and CSP, and the relationship between positive user reactions to news on social media and CSP. Research implications or Originality - This study extends the social media research in the management literature by investigating how corporate use of social media, number of uploaded corporate news on social media, and the user reactions on the news on social media affect corporate social performance. For a practical implication, our results allow the stakeholders to better predict corporate future CSP. They suggest that ceteris paribus, firms that use social media actively, vis-a-vis firms that do not use social media actively, are more likely to get good CSP scores. They also suggest that such beneficial effects of social media will become more prominent as companies get older.

The intelligent product is a product in which interactive technologies are applied to an existing common product, called a mother product. This study focuses on interaction design of a hedonic intelligent product and investigates an efficient method of input control of hedonic intelligent products. The hedonic intelligent product is a product in which the hedonic attributes such as play and pleasure are added to the mother product. Utilitarian intelligent products enhance practical functions of mother products. The utilitarian intelligent product finds user behavior in the mother product to improve functional elements for a user experience design. On the other hand, hedonic intelligent products find various emotional values that impart hedonistic attributes and apply them to design. The input method studied through the case study is classified into the imitation input method and the transformation input method derived from the mother product. Based on this, two independent variables of intelligent pinwheels were designed, and its usability evaluation was conducted under the same output condition to investigate a more effective input method. As a result, the transformation input method was rated higher in originality than the imitation input method. This result implies that users had new experiences from the transformation input method, which leads to a higher intention of paying for new experiences.
