The purpose of this study was to prove the effects of parents' family-of-origin experiences on their parenting efficacy among 260 parents with children aged between 3 and 7. The results were as follows. First, depending on parents' gender, with children aged between 3 and 7, both parents were found to positively perceive each factor in their family-of-origin experience and parenting efficacy. Second, fathers showed differences based on their income satisfaction and their mothers' employment status in their family of origin. Mothers showed differences in parenting efficacy according to their age, monthly average family income, and economic status in their family of origin. Third, both parents' experiences with their family of origin were correlated with their parenting efficacy. Fourth, family-of-origin health was found to be the most significant family-of-origin variable influencing parents' parenting efficacy. Wealth and experience of triangulation were found to be the influential factors common to both parents. Fathers' experiences of acceptance from their parents in their family of origin was a predictive factor of parenting efficacy. In contrast, in the case of mothers with more than two kids, when their family of origin was an extended family and when the mother in their family of origin had stayed at home, they showed higher parenting efficacy in their current parenting.
This paper researched on countries effect of country-of origin product of the Korea customer. Also This study was analysis to purchase frequency and purchase place for products of the U.S.A, Japan, China, EU, and Chile in Korea market. That is to say, this study is reviewing on country image subject including country of origin. According to WTO rule, The rules of origin should be administered in a consistent, uniform, impartial and reasonable manner. The objective of this article is to explore the relationship between country of origin and consumer effect using empirical analysis. The country of origin was divided into country of design, assembly, and parts. A survey questionnaire was sent to 250 customer in Korea market, and 220 usable responses were obtained. The 213 samples are analyzed with the countries origin effect. Multiple regression results show that the U.S.A and Japan product are positively affected by the purchase effectiveness of Korea customer's. However, The EU, China and Chile products do not affect effectiveness in Korea market. This article contributes to a understanding of effects of country-or-origin. When the nation image has been made, marketing approaches considering both image of country of manufacture origin and motivational focus can be utilized simultaneously.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the importance-performance analysis for country-of-origin labeling at restaurants. There is a growing concern over food safety as well as interest in the country-of-origin for food ingredients served at restaurants. In this study, the importance-performance analysis for the labeling of country-of-origin at restaurants, revealed that there were significant differences in all 12 attribute items, and the importance was scored higher than the performance in all items. Also, the importance-performance analysis for the attributes of the country-of-origin labeling showed that 'supportive government policies', 'system of controls for violation of the country-of-origin labeling', and 'penalty for violation of the country-of-origin labeling' are included in the second quadrant, which has a high level of importance but a low level of performance.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to analyze the origin plants, the habitat and the characteristics of the origin-plants of the medicine herbs belong to Araceae. Methods : To achieve the purpose of this study 48 bibliographies about 4 kinds of herbs belong to Araceae were examined. The examination was focused on the origin plants, habitat, the efficacy. Standing on this analysis the list and characteristics of the origin-plants were presented. Results : The results indicated that 1. In the original plants of 4 kinds of herbs, there were 27 species of scientific name totally, 25 species belonged to Araceae, and 2 species didn't. The origin plants of Pinelliae rhizoma were 3 species of different family plant, 16 species for Arisaematis Rhizoma, 2 species for Typhoni Rhizoma, and 6 species for Acori Graminei Rhizoma. 2. In the view of its authenticity, there was one kind of genuine species, 2 species of substitutes in the origin plants of Pinelliae Rhizoma, 14 kinds of genuine species, 2 species of substitutes in the origin plants of Arisaematis Rhizoma, and Whole origin plants of Typhoni Rhizoma, Acori Graminei Rhizoma were genuine species. 3. According to the habitat, there were 15 species distributed in Korea, China and so on. And 16 species were distributed in Korea, 25 species were of foreign origin. 1 species was unknown. 4. The each efficacy of origin plants were reported in the main subject Conclusions : Among the 4 medicinal herbs in the commonly using family Araceae, there were 27 origin plants(25 species belong to Araceae, and 2 species doesn't), so the number of origin plants are almost 6.75 times compared with the cases of the herbal name. Also, according to the habitat, approximately 59.3% of origin plants were producted in Korea, and approximately 92.6% of origin plants were of foreign origin.
The purpose of this study is to examine the legal standards of agreements on the origin of liability and the relevant laws in Korea, to suggest implications for custom authorities and traders wishing to benefit from preferential tariff via FTA, citing the excluded cases of related FTA preferences (court cases and administrative judgments). In order to examine the provisions related to supporting evidence of the origin of liability in FTA, we examined FTAs agreed between Korea and EU, EFTA, ASEAN, U.S., and India relevant to FTA Special Customs Act, court cases and administrative judgements. If verifying the origin to protect the fair trade order impedes to promote utilizing FTA, solutions will need to be suggested. If FTA preference is exempted due to verifying the origin by the import customs authorities, the importer shall pay the income tax calculated in accordance with the general tax rate. This is because the certificate of origin confirmed during verification process is different from the actual origin. In most agreements, the exporter (the producer) shall issue the certificate of origin and since the importer has no other option than obtaining the certificate of origin from the exporter, it may face consequences such as declined credibility from the custom authorities in addition to being disqualified for FTA preferential, if the certificate of origin received from the exporter has flaws. On the other hand, the exporter cannot help but being punished by the customs authorities due to issuing defective origin certificates, but it doesn't have conventionary liabilities for damages incurred to the importer. As a result, importers are forced to pursue legal proceedings to claim damages to exporters or to give up FTA preference. As FTA is increasingly utilized, the number and amount of origin verification in Korea has continuously been increasing while administrative judgements indicates other FTA exporters doesn't seem to gain any support in utilizing FTA like Korea does. It has been 8 years since full-scale supports in FTA launched and now is the time to introduce more efficient and intensive FTA support system In this regard, it is desirable to conduct comprehensive verification on export Next, an institutions that assures FTA-based exports should be established in order to compensate the importer's damages that may occur from disqualified certificate of origin issued by the exporter.
This study examined the relations between differentiation from family-of-origin, family-of-origin health and mothers' leadership. A survey was performed for 288 mothers with 5-year-old children who were enrolled in kindergartens and nursery schools located in Incheon and Kyunggi province. Data were analyzed by correlation and hierarchical regression. Results showed mothers' leadership was highly correlated with academic background of mothers, differentiation from family-of-origin and family-of-origin health. Second, academic background of mothers and family-of-origin health were explanatory variables for mothers' leadership.
This study examined the experience of family of origin among those who decided consensual divorce. Questionnaires regarding family relationships, alcohol problem, domestic violence, and health in family or origin were distributed to 500 people who visited Busan Family court for filing divorce and 3% questionnaires were collected by the staff of the Family court in April, 2004. As for analyzing the data, using SPSS/WIN 10.0 program, t-test and ANOVA were conducted. The results of analyses are as follows. First, more respondents tended to report that theirs parents' marital relationship was bad in their childhood than parent-child relationship. Second, 41% of all respondents reported that their parents have had alcohol problems, and 32% reported that there had been domestic violence between their parents. Third, the overall score of health in family of origin was lower than the medium score, which implies the lower health in family of origin among the divorce deciders. Lastly, there were some differences in experiences of family of origin in terms of some demographic variables such as gender, education, and religion. Women tended to perceived their family relationship more positively than men did. Also, highly educated group of divorce deciders reported lower parental alcohol problem and higher health in family of origin than the group of lower education. Respondents which had specific religions reported that their parents have had less alcohol problems, and higher health in family-of-origin.
Evaluations of fashion products are often influenced by consumers' knowledge of the country where the products were made in. As globalization progresses, country-of-origin information is widely regarded as a powerful cue on consumers' shopping behavior. The purpose of study was to examine the consumer evaluation of apparel products with uni-national or bi-national country of origin. The effect of price level and gender were also investigated. The empirical research design took 2${\times}$2 factorial design with the country-of-origin coincidence (uni-national vs. bi-national) and price (high vs. low) of gender (male vs. female). Consumers' ethnocentrism and country-of-origin interest were taken into account as covariates in the factorial design. The consumers' evaluation of fashion products was measured in terms of brand attitudes and product attitudes. Data from 514 respondents were analyzed with t-test, one-way ANOVA, two-way ANOVA, and ANCOVA. Results of this study affirmed the importance of price information rather than country-of-origin coincidence in brand attitudes and product attitudes. Only for male consumers, interaction effects of price and country-of-origin coincidence had significant eflects on utilitarian attitude. Effects of two covariate variables included in the study were significant for female respondents but not for male respondents.
This study is aimed to analyze problems related to FTA country of origin of goods verification which is increasing from 2006 and thereby to grope for solution of such problems and seek adequate FTA performance administration. It is found, through comparative analysis and statistics of last 8 FTAs so far Korea has concluded that there are major problems such as excessive verification processing due to complicated country of origin regulation etc. This paper suggests following policies of country of origin administration ; (1) Simplification of FTA country of origin rules (2) reciprocal cooperation between each country's Customs Authorities based on trust (3) rational measurement against corresponding country's Customs Authorities' misbehavior (4) enhancement of transparency in relation to processing rule of country of origin verification (5) securing FTA country of origin verification experts. For these improvements, upcoming FTA shall rule country of origin reasonably, simplification and transparency of rule is needed for established FTAs in relation to FTA performance administration with corresponding countries. Also it is necessary to revise FTA preferential tariff law and its related laws, and carry forward policies in accordance with medium and long term plan.
This study attempts to analyze the trade costs of domestic firms utilizing the FTAs in terms of burden of expenses in managing the rules of origin. In doing so, we classify the managing costs of FTA rules of origin into three categories (that is, (i) ex ante costs from acquiring necessary information and building the infrastructure in the advance stage before the FTAs, (ii) the actual costs of the origin management in the application stage of FTA preferential treatment, (iii) ex post management cost in the preparation stage of origin verification) and perform a survey on the greater details on each category. Using the comprehensive results from the survey regarding domestic firm's use of FTAs, this paper also discusses the issues related to small and medium-sized firms and addresses the concerns involved with their managing costs of FTA rules of origin. Importantly, this paper emphasizes the importance of government supports to reduce inefficiency induced by the additional costs that domestic firms face in their use of FTAs and proposes the various policy implications regarding the managing costs of rules of origin.
