  • In this paper, first order slice height calculation in Laminated Object Manufacturing (LOM) of free form surfaces is done with two different considerations: that a) the cutter trajectory is oriented in the direction of local absolute maximum more in number when compared to the case where the cutter trajectory is contained in the normal vertical section (NVS). However, it would help in achieving higher form accuracy of the final part because it would be a form of worst-case check. For the second proposed strategy, least number of slices results, thereby reducing overall build time drastically.

  • In 1968 total 94,660 mc of radioactive iodocompound were prepared and distributed to the urers. In order to obtain an effective liver scanning In-113 m colloidal of even particle size from a $^{113}Sn-^{113m}In$ cow, the eluate(pH; 1.5) was examined by a radio paper partition chromatography. It was found that the eluate was composed of two components, ionic form and colloidal form. The ionid form could be eliminated by cation exchange resine and the eluate from the ion exchange resine was of even particle size to give an excellent liver scanning result. Labelling of $^{113m}In$ to human serum albumine was attempted.

  • In this paper we obtain the condition for the existence of Ricci solitons in nonflat quaternion space form by using Eisenhart problem. Also it is proved that if (g, V, ${\lambda}$) is Ricci soliton then V is solenoidal if and only if it is shrinking, steady and expanding depending upon the sign of scalar curvature. Further it is shown that Ricci soliton in semi-symmetric quaternion space form depends on quaternion sectional curvature c if V is solenoidal.

  • The reactivity increase of unsunstituted energetic compound in cyclic ethers was found in order of three-membered cyclic form < five-membered cyclic form< four-membered cyclic form. The nucleophilicity and basicity of cyclic ethers can be explained by the negative charge on oxygen atom of cyclic ethers. The reactivity of propagation in the polymerization of cyclic ethers can be represented by positive charge on carbon atom and the LUMO energy of active species of cyclic ethers. The cationic polymerization of substituted cyclic ethers which have pendant energetic groups such as methoxy($-CH_{2}OCH_{3}$), azido($-CH_{2}N_{3}$), and nitrato($-CH_{2}ONO_{2}$) are investigated theoretically using the MNDO methods.

  • The transformation kinetics between polymorphs of sulpiride and the effect of additives on the transformation kinetics were studied. The results could be summarized as follows. 1. Transformation kinetics of the polymorph form I to form II in water suspenion was first order type and transformation rate constant at $25^{\circ}C$ is $2.61{\times}10^{-2}min^{-1}$, the half life of form I was about 27 minutes and the activation energy for transformation was 21.35 Kcal/mole. 2. Glycerine and coloring agents increased the rate of transformation., In the case of polysorbate 80, the rate constant increased in proportion to the concentration of polyserbate 80. Simple syrup showed no effect 3n transformation kinetics.

  • Robust adaptive beamforming based on worst-case performance optimization is investigated in this paper. It improves robustness against steering vector mismatches by the approach of diagonal loading. A closed-form solution to optimal loading is derived after some approximations. Besides reducing the computational complexity, it shows how different factors affect the optimal loading. Based on this solution, a performance analysis of the beamformer is carried out. As a consequence, approximated closed-form expressions of the source-of-interest power estimation and the output signalto-interference-plus-noise ratio are presented in order to predict its performance. Numerical examples show that the proposed closed-form expressions are very close to their actual values.

  • In the present paper, a hull form for the turtle boat type incinerating vessel was developed based on the Finite source Distribution Method(FDM) and 1-$C_p$ method. In order to obtain proper hull form within the limited time and budget, a computer program OCL(Optimization of $C_p$ and LCB) was developed adn used. For the confirmation of the theoretical results by OCL, these theoretical results were compared with results of model test in the circulating water channel (CWC)in Chosun University.

  • In order to fad out an efficient way of topdressing nitrogen fertilizer in mulch-cropping system of onion(Allium cepa L.), solid, slow-release, and liquid forms of nitrogen fertilizers were allied to cv. 'Changnyungdaego' various number of times at different time, with 5 topdress applications of solid fertilizer serving as a control. Whole basal application of conventional solid fertilizer and 2 slow-release fertilizers were labor-saving and showed improved storage quality of bulbs, but resulted in poor plant growth and considerably low yield due to fertilizer shortage from early April. This suggests that topdress application is necessary. Liquid form of nitrogen fertilizer was more effective for plant growth and yield and saving labor than the solid form. Early applications was effective for increasing yield and storage quality of onion bulbs harvested. Thus two applications of liquid form of nitrogen fertilizer in February and March at rome month interval are recommended in mulch crowing system of onion.

  • When a spatial method of moments(MoM) is used in conjunction with closed-form Greens functions for the analysis of a general microstrip structures of thin or thick substrate, an efficient technique fur the evaluation of MeM off-diagonal matrix elements as well as diagonal elements is proposed. In order to check the validity of the present method, performance is demonstrated for the example of a coaxially-fed microstrip antenna and the present results are compared with the previous results.

  • This study describes structural reliability analysis of actively-controlled structure for which random vibration analysis is incorporated into the first-order reliability method (FORM) framework. The existing approaches perform the reliability analysis based on the RMS response, whereas the proposed study uses the peak response for the reliability analysis. Therefore, the proposed approach provides us a meaningful performance measure of the active control system, i.e., realistic failure probability. In addition, it can deal with the uncertainties in the system parameters as well as the excitations in single-loop reliability analysis, whereas the conventional random vibration analysis requires double-loop reliability analysis; one is for the system parameters and the other is for stochastic excitations. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated through a numerical example where the proposed approach shows fast and accurate reliability (or inversely failure probability) assessment results of the dynamical active control system against random seismic excitations in the presence of parametric uncertainties of the dynamical structural system.
