The research targets were intended to study the impact of the connection relationship between each variable, targeting nail art certification learners who are willing to start their own businesses. For this study, the measurement variables of positive psychology capital, intention of start-up, and start-up behavior were set, and the collected data were analyzed for connection-centeredness and eigenvector after data collection. The findings are as follows. First, some variables affecting the intention of start-up showed optimism, resilience and hope of positive psychology capital. Second, the intention to start a business was shown to have a significant impact on the behavior of start-ups, which, unlike the preceding study, appeared to be almost outside the network structure, showing that the behavior of start-ups was not significantly affected by other variables. Third, it is important to increase self-efficacy in positive psychological capital in order to increase the behavior of start-ups. Fourth, the analysis of the eigenvactor among positive psychology capital, intention of start-up, and start-up behavior showed optimism as some of the most central variables. In other words, prospective start-ups were found to be aware of the hardships and expected positive results in the future. The implications of this study, along with the intention and behavior of prospective entrepreneurs, are important factors in positive psychology capital, and suggest the importance of various educational programs that can be enhanced by positive psychology capital in start-up education or training programs and what should be taught. In addition, this study analyzed the network by approaching it from the perspective of positive psychology capital of prospective entrepreneurs in order to enhance the effectiveness of support programs for start-ups by the government, public institutions or universities in the future.

  • This study analyzed the perception formed by artificial intelligence users by converging technology readiness index and technology acceptance models and expanding them to models considering artificial intelligence ethics in order to find out the impact of technology acceptance and ethics. Independent variables include optimism, transparency, ethical awareness, user-centeredness, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use as potential variables affected by independent variables, and defined the intention of use as potential variables as dependent variables. The survey results from an online and offline of men and women aged over 17 years old across the country (N=260) from September 5 to October 12, 2020 were used in the analysis. The findings, first, showed that optimism had a significant static effect on perceived usefulness and ease of use. Second, ethical awareness (transparency, ethical awareness, user-centeredness) did not have a significant impact on perceived usefulness and ease of use. Third, perceived usefulness and ease of use are finally found to have a significant static effect on the intention of use. Fourth, perceived usefulness has a relatively high influence over ease of use.

Purpose: To investigate the level of interest in health and hygiene of hairdressers and their awareness of COVID-19. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted with hairdressers located in Daejeon Metropolitan City. The SPSS 26.0 program analyzed a total of 260 collected questionnaires. Results: The interest in the health and hygiene of hairdressers showed a statistically significant difference according to age, educational background, job title, type of hairdresser, and years of service. The hairdresser's risk and degree of awareness of COVID-19 were higher in those in their 30s or older, managers, medium-sized stores, and ten years of service. In terms of optimism about Corona, it was found to be high among those in their 20s, assistant staff, large stores, and less than five years of service. In addition, there was a positive (+) correlation between health care concerns, hand hygiene and mask hygiene, and awareness of corona risk and optimism. Conclusions: The level of health and hygiene interest and awareness of hairdressers significantly increased according to age, educational background, job title, type of hairdresser, and length of service. Therefore, it evaluated that this result would serve as primary data for research in this field.

The results of the study are as follows. To data analysis, ANOVA, Stepwise Discriminant analysis, Cluster analysis, Regression analysis and Two-way analysis of variance was employed. First, the subjects were 4 cluster into overcome group, crisis group, stable group and vulnerable group according to the level of loss experience and ego-integrity. Second, optimism, physical self-efficacy, existential spirituality and emotional support were seen to be significant variables in discriminating the groups. • The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of retirement stress, character strengths and marital dissatisfaction on depression. Additionally this study examined direct effects and indirect effects of character strengths and marital dissatisfaction. The participant group was composed of 197 retired men living in Daegu and Gyongsangbuk-do. The Retirement Stress Scale (RSS), Character Strengths Test (CST), Korean Marital Satisfaction Inventory (K-MSI), and Center for Epistemology Studies Depression scale (CES-D) were administered to participants. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS was used for the purpose of analysis. The results of the study were as follows. First, an increase in retirement stress was associated with higher levels of depression. Second, hierarchical regression analysis indicated that higher levels of optimism significantly predicted higher depression. Also hierarchical regression analysis indicated that lower levels of appreciation of beauty and excellence without optimism significantly predicted higher depression. Furthermore, increases in marital dissatisfaction were associated with higher levels of depression. Third, the constructed model including both direct effects and indirect effects appeared to fit better than alternative model in explaining relationships between retirement stress and depression. In other words, character strengths and marital dissatisfaction appeared to affect the depression levels of retired men directly and indirectly. To sum up, this study demonstrated that the factors which had an effect on depression in retired men, character strengths and harmonious marital relationships appeared to act as a buffer against depression in retired men. The current results might serve as basic data for psychological well-being programs for retired men. Finally, the limitations and implications of the current study were discussed.

  • Purpose: This study was done to propose a structural model to explain and predict psychosocial adjustment in patients with early breast cancer and to test the model. The model was based on the Stress-Coping Model of Lazarus and Folkman (1984). Methods: Data were collected from February 18 to March 18, 2009. For data analysis, 198 data sets were analyzed using SPSS/WIN12 and AMOS 7.0 version. Results: Social support, uncertainty, symptom experience, and coping had statistically significant direct, indirect and total effects on psychosocial adjustment, and optimism had significant indirect and total effects on psychosocial adjustment. These variables explained 57% of total variance of the psychosocial adjustment in patients with early breast cancer. Conclusion: The results of the study indicate a need to enhance psychosocial adjustment of patients with early breast cancer by providing detailed structured information and various symptom alleviation programs to reduce perceived stresses such as uncertainty and symptom experience. They also suggest the need to establish support systems through participation of medical personnel and families in such programs, and to apply interventions strengthening coping methods to give the patients positive and optimistic beliefs.
