  • This paper describes the pixel of AMOLED(act ive matrix organic light emitting diode) driving circuit by poly-sl technology. The area per pixel is 278um$\times$278um in 120$\times$160(2.2 inch) Driving the OLEDS with active matrix leads to the lower voltage operation, the lower peak pixel currents and the display with much greater efficiency and brightness The role of the active matrix is to provide a constant current throughout the entire frame time and is eliminating the high currents encountered In the passive matrix approach, This design can support the high resolutions expected by the consumer because the current variation specification is norestricted. The pixel has been designed driving TFT threshold voltage cancellation circuit and wide aperture ratio circuit that communizes 4 pixel. The test simulation results and layout are 11% per threshold-current var Eat ion and 12.5% the aperture ratio of increase.

  • In this paper, we concentrate on reducing the complexity for efficient encoder. We design structural LDPC code using circulant matrix and permutation matrix and eIRA code. It is possible to design low complex encoder by using shift register and differential encoder and interleaver than general LDPC encoder that use matrix multiplication operation. The code designed by this structure shows similar performance as random code. And the proposed codes can considerably reduce a number of XOR gates.

  • This paper is aimed at proposing a new inference mechanism for B-to-B electronic commerce decision-makings, named IMITAO(Integer Matrix-driven Inference based on Transformed And-Or graph) which is based on integer matrix operation to speed up the inference. During the B-to-B electronic commerce, many kinds of negotiations are needed for mutually satisfactory decision-makings. During such negotiations, several factors including subjective and objective constraints should be considered so as to reach satisfactory decisions. In this respect, we suggest first a Transformed AND-OR Graph(TAOG) which each firm's conditions or judgement are incorporated into, and then we propose a high-speedy inference mechanism named IMITAO which basically depends on TAOG. Firms engaged in B-to-B negotiations on the Internet can get an appropriate decision support from using IMITAO for their negotiation simulations. The proposed IMITAO inference mechanism is characterized by its fast inference because its main inference procedures are based on integer matrix operation. A real-world example for B-to-B negotiations was used to prove the validity of our proposed TAOG and IMITAO approach. Experimental results showed that our approach was very useful in performing the B-to-B electronic commerce decision-makings considering a wide variety of either subjective or objective constraints.

  • In this study, we consider the meaning of one-to-one correspondence through theoretical background under operation of matrix. On algebraic point of view, its significance is 'through one-to-one correspondence from a set with given structure, become a methods in order to induce an algebraic system in to a new set.' That is a key idea making isomorphic structure. Such process experiences necessity of mathematical fact, as well as the deep understanding of one-to-one correspon -dence. Also that becomes a base for develop a various mathematical concepts, such as matrix, exponential laws, symmetric difference, permutation and so on. This study help teachers and students to understand of mathematical concepts meaningfully and to facilitate teacher's professional development.

  • While the matrix converter has many advantages that include bi-directional power flow, a size reduction, a long lifetime, and sinusoidal input currents, it is vulnerable to the input voltage disturbances, because it directly exchanges the input voltage to the output voltage. So, in this paper, a critical evaluation of the effect of various abnormal voltage conditions like unbalanced power supply, balanced non-sinusoidal power supply, input voltage sags and short time blackout of power supply on matrix converter fed induction motor drives is presented. The operation under various abnormal conditions has been analyzed. For this, a 230V, 250VA three phase to three phase matrix converter (MC) fed induction motor drive prototype is implemented using DSP based controller and tests have been carried out to evaluate and improve the stability of system under typical abnormal conditions. Digital storage oscilloscope & power quality analyzer are used for experimental observations.

  • Systolic Array Processor is used for designing the special purpose processor in Digital Signal Processing, Computer Graphics, Neural Network Applications etc., since it has the characteristic of parallelism, pipeline processing and architecture of regularity. But, in case of using general design method, it has intial waiting period as large as No. of PE-1. And if the connected system needs parallel and simultaneous outputs, processor has some problems of the performance, since it generates only one output at each clock in output state. So in this paper, one dimensional Systolic Array Processor that is designed according to the dependance of data and operations using the partitioned sub-matrix is proposed for the purpose of improving the performance. 1-D Systolic Array using 4 partitioned sub-matrix has efficient method in case of considering those two problems.

  • This paper presents a new and simple method for sensorless operation of matrix converter drives using a constant air-gap flux and the imaginary power flowing to the motor. To improve low-speed sensorless performance, the non-linearities of a matrix converter drive such as commutation delays, turn-on and turn-off times of switching devices, and on-state switching device voltage drop are modeled using PQR transformation and compensated using a reference current control scheme. The proposed compensation method is applied for high performance induction motor drives using a 3 kW matrix converter system. Experimental results are shown to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed strategy.

  • In this paper, an improved direct torque control (DTC) method for sensorless matrix converter drives is proposed which enables to minimize torque ripple, to obtain unity input power factor, and to achieve good sensorless speed-control performance in the low speed operation, while maintaining constant switching frequency and fast torque dynamics. It is possible to combine the advantages of matrix converters with the advantages of the DTC strategy using space vector modulation and a flux deadbeat controller. To overcome the phase current distortion by the non-linearity of a matrix converter drive, the simple non-linearity compensation method using PQR power theory are presented in the proposed scheme. Experimental results are shown to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed strategy.

  • This article reviews the fundamentals of sample preparation used in matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-mass spectrometry (MALDI-MS). MALDI is a soft ionization method used to generate analyte ions in their intact forms, which are then detected in MS analysis. MALDI-MS boasts fast analysis times and easy-to-use operation. The disadvantages of MALDI-MS include the occurrence of matrix-associated peaks and inhomogeneous distribution of analyte within the matrix. To overcome the disadvantages of MALDI-MS, various efforts have been directed such as using different matrices, novel matrix systems, various additives, and different sample preparation methods. These various efforts will be discussed in detail. This article will benefit those who would like to obtain basic knowledge of MALDI sample preparation and those who would like to use MALDI-MS in their chemical analyses.

  • This paper presents a new sensorless vector control system for high performance induction motor drives fed by a matrix converter with non-linearity compensation and disturbance observer. The nonlinear voltage distortion that is caused by commutation delay and on-state voltage drop in switching device is corrected by a new matrix converter modeling. The lumped disturbances such as parameter variation and load disturbance of the system are estimated by the radial basis function network (RBFN). An adaptive observer is also employed to bring better responses at the low speed operation. Experimental results are shown to illustrate the performance of the proposed system.
