  • The values of physical components of the plants and controllers as well as the relevant environmental conditions change in time, thus the output performance can be deteriorated during the operating span of the system. Naturally the duty of calibration or the prevention of performance deterioration due to excessive component sensitivity should be provided to the control system. The proposed controller, whenever necessary, measures the open-loop and close-loop characteristics, and then calculates the offset and sensor gain correction values based on the prepared standard measurements It is applied to the control of a flexible link system with the gain and offset calibration problems in the light sensor module for position to show the applicability. In this paper, we propose a digital controller which has the capability of calibration gain and offset adjustment using fuzzy methods.

  • Direct Torque Control(DTC) of AC motor has the fast torque and flux dynamic responses even though it has very simple scheme to implement. However DTC do not show good performance at low speed range with conventional open loop stator flux observer when stator resistance varied. So authors proposed nonlinear stator flux obsever in order to flux estimation at low speed and show its simulation results.

  • This paper presents an ARW(Anti-Reset Windup) method for discrete-time control systems with saturation nonlinearites. The method is motivated by the concept of the equilibrium point. The design parameters of the ARW scheme is explicitly derived by minimizing a reasonable performance index. The proposed method is closely related with the singular perturbed theory. The proposed method is applicable to any open-loop stable plants with saturation nonlinearities whose controllers are determined a priori by some design technique.

  • In this paper, we design a stabilizing controller with disturbance rejection properties for multirate sampled-data systems which have periodic output measurement scheme. We assume that the plant is open-loop unstable and the disturbance consists of a sum of finite number of sine waves with different frequencies. A sufficient condition for maintaining observability in multirate sampled-data systems is derived. The proposed controller has an IMC structure and can be decomposed into the filtered-disturbance estimator and the inverse of the fast uniform sampled model of the pre-stabilized plant. An example is presented for illustrations.

  • This paper describes a study of a stabilisation scheme of a stepping motor in the driving systems of the Fiber Optic Gyrocompass absolutely required a constant speed and a precise position control with fine step angle. The new stabilisation scheme combining microstepping control and frequency modulation is developed which enables the experimental machine to be capable of stable running to a stepping frequency in the range 5 times the open-loop stall frequency.

  • In this paper, the control system of the controlled-permanent magnet(CPM) type MagLev system of 1ton is designed and implemented. The target to be controlled is PEM(permanent and electromagnet) type with 4-corners levitation which is open-loop unstable, highly non-linear and time-varing system. The designed controller is validated by some kinds of experiments.

  • 원자력발전소의 제어봉구동장치는 원자로의 압력경계 안에 설치되고 밀봉되므로 센서의 설치가 곤란하여 기존의 제어기는 개루프 형태의 제어기를 사용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존 타이밍모듈의 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 제어봉구동장치 내부에 센서를 설치하지 않고도 제어봉구동장치의 작동 상황을 감시할 수 있는 방법을 개발하였다. 이 방법을 이용하여 제어봉 낙하방지, 정밀한 위치제어, 코일 수명연장의 특성이 있는 제어봉구동장치 타이밍 제어기를 폐루프 제어계통으로 설계하였다. 폐루프 제어개념에 의하여 개발된 알고리즘은 기존의 문제를 대부분 해결하였으며 계통의 성능 및 신뢰도가 향상되었다. 알고리즘 개발 및 시험 시, 여기서 설계한 실시간 제어봉구동장치 시뮬레이터를 사용하였고 현장에서 취득한 실제의 데이터와 함께 이 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 개발한 모든 알고리즘의 검증시험을 하였다. 검증결과 이 타이밍 제어기는 본래의 기능을 잘 수행하는 것으로 나타났다.

A STUDY ON THE MODEL-MATCHING CONTROL IN THE LONGITUDINAL AUTONOMOUS DRIVING SYSTEM

  • In this paper, the model-matching control in the longitudinal autonomous driving system is investigated by vehicle dynamics simulation, which contains nonlinear subcomponents and simplified subcomponents. The design of the robust model-matching controller is performed by the characteristics of the 2 degrees of freedom controller, which is composed of the feedforward compensator and the feedback compensator. It makes the characteristics of tractive and brake force to be equivalent to the specific transfer function, which is suggested as the reference model. Mathematical models of vehicle dynamic analysis including the model-matching control are constructed for computer simulation. Then, simple examples on open-loop simulation without any controller and closed loop simulation with the model-matching controller are applied to check the validity of the robust controller. As the practical example, the autonomous driving system in the longitudinal direction is adopted. It is proved that the model-matching control is effective and adequate to the disturbances and the perturbations, which are shown in the responses of the change of a vehicle mass and a road gradient.

Channel Estimation Method Using Power Control Schemes in Wireless Systems

  • Green communication is a new paradigm of designing the communication system which considers not only the processing performance but also the energy efficiency. Power control management is one of the approaches in green communication to reduce the power consumption in distributed communication system. In this paper, we propose improved power control schemes for mobile satellite systems with ancillary terrestrial components (ATCs). In order to increase system capacity and reduce the transmitting power of the user's equipment, we propose an efficient channel estimation method consisting of a modified open-loop power control (OLPC) and closed-loop power control (CLPC). The OLPC works well if the forward and reverse links are perfectly correlated. The CLPC is sensitive to round-trip delay and, therefore, it is not effective in a mobile satellite system. In order to solve the above problem, we added monitoring equipment to both the OLPC and CLPC to use information about transmitting power that has not yet been received by the receiver over the satellite/ATC channel. Moreover, we adapted an efficient pilot diversity of both OLPC and CLPC in order to get a better signal to interference plus noise ratio estimation of the received signal.

휴대인터넷 시스템의 레인징 정보를 이용한 상향링크 부채널 할당 및 전력제어 알고리즘 (Uplink Sub-channel Allocation and Power Control Algorithm Using Ranging Information in High speed Portable Internet System)

  • 본 논문에서는 OFDMA/TDD 방식을 사용하는 휴대 인터넷 시스템에서 상향링크 부채널 할당 및 전력제어 알고리즘의 설계 및 구현에 대하여 살펴보았다. OFDMA 시스템에서 단말기의 송신전력은 기지국보다 낮게 설계되지만 단말기는 기지국과 같이 최소 1개부터 최대일 때 부채널 전부를 사용할 수 있기 때문에 부채널 전부를 사용할 수 있는 거리(FLR : full loading range)의 제한이 생기고 FLR 바깥에 위치한 단말은 기존의 개방루프 전력제어 방식을 사용할 수 없는 문제가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 OFDMA 시스템의 ranging 정보를 이용하여 단말기의 위치를 파악하고 단말기의 위치에 따라서 사용가능한 부채널수를 제한하고 PCG(power concentration gain)를 인가하는 방식을 제안하였다. 시뮬레이션을 통한 실험결과에서 제안된 방식은 상향링크 통화반경을 셀 경계지역까지 확보하면서 무선자원의 최적 활용이 가능하며 FLR 바깥에서 상향링크 전력제어가 별도의 하드웨어 없이 가능함을 확인하였다.
