  • The usage of emoticons used in the online environment continues to increase, and also the market for emoticons is growing rapidly. Emoticons go beyond simply conveying the meaning of a message and play various roles such as smooth communication, pursuit of fun, and intimacy. In this study, we first identify the factors that motivate users to use emoticons in an online messenger service, and then determine whether the derived factors have a significant effect on emoticon usage. Furthermore, based on Regulatory Focus Theory, we will distinguish between the group of promotion focus and the group of prevention focus to see how the influence of motives on emoticon usage differs.

  • The goal of this study is to scrutinize the impact of individual online convenience dimensions on mobile banking acceptance and use in Mongolia. A total of 211 valid responses were collected from Mongolian university students who currently use mobile banking application services from local banks. The SmartPLS 3.3 software was used to conduct the confirmatory factor analysis and test the hypotheses. Using structural equation modelling, this research discovered that access convenience, transaction convenience, and possession/post-possession convenience are the main constructs related to the adoption of mobile banking services. Perceived innovation showed a significant positive effect on the adoption of mobile banking technologies. Through practical and theoretical implications, this research aims to assist mobile banking service channels of local and international banks in Mongolia. Identifying which online convenience dimensions impact the adoption and use of mobile banking will contribute to the adoption of competitive strategies for financial institutions and banks.

  • The application of chatbots on e-commerce platforms is becoming increasingly widespread. With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, previous research has predominantly focused on service failures occurring with the chatbots themselves. There is limited research on scenarios where chatbots handle service failures that are controllable by the sellers. This paper conducted online surveys through two experiments involving a total of 546 participants. The results indicate that, in the event of a service failure, customers are more likely to spread negative word-of-mouth about the store and have lower repurchase intentions when served by chatbots compared to human customer service representatives. This is because customers experience higher levels of anger with the chatbots. However, when customers perceive the service failure as uncontrollable by the seller, the impact of the type of customer service provider on negative word-of-mouth via customer anger is weakened while when customers perceive it as controllable the impact is strengthened. This study provides theoretical contributions for online retail enterprises to apply intelligent customer service while preventing further deterioration of service failures.

  • We investigate whether the belief in good luck of stock traders influences their satisfaction with and their loyalty to a stock trading service. In particular, we tested whether the online stock traders who have irrational beliefs in good luck (e.g., I am a lucky person) (1) are satisfied with their online stock trading service more strongly and (2) stay with it longer than the online stock traders who have rational beliefs in good luck (e.g., luck does not exist). We have tested satisfaction, loyalty, and belief in good luck among 412 online stock traders and tested our two hypotheses. Our findings contribute to the academic research on service satisfaction and loyalty as well as provide implications to online stock trading service providers.

This study use the tool of Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), Cronbach's Alpha test, Confirm Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in order to address the question of satisfaction and loyalty. • International conditions surrounding the Korean Peninsula have been recently undergoing a sudden change. The South-North relations have been defined by severe tensions for many years; however, since the PyeongChang Winter Olympics, relations between the two nations began to thaw, and expectations of unification have been rising. Nevertheless, some still warn that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is utilizing a "carrot and stick" tactic. With this, recent research revealed that there is a low sense of national security among college students and teenagers in Korea, which magnified the importance of establishing a strong sense of national security and having a national viewpoint. A way to achieve this is for the army, a core institution of national security, to release army records as online contents. This paper takes an in-depth look into the US Army's online contents service, a leading national records management system, and seeks to provide development plans for the Republic of Korea Army's online contents service.
