Design and Implementation of a realtime Auction System using information providing agent (정보 제공 에이전트를 이용한 실시간 경매 시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • Along with the rapid emergence of the Internet and e-commerce, online auctions are hitting the spotlights. The inconveniences found in off-line auctions, such as time and place restriction and limited number of items, are solved in the online auction. However, not so many auction sites have integrated auction information systems, which monitor the present status of auctions, resulting in greater inconvenience for the online auction users. Moreover, there is no auction site that suggests the appropriate starting or closing price that is useful for users when they make, their bids, What the online auction users need is an auction system that can solve such problems. This study is purported for solving the problems by designing and implementing a real time auction system that applies the comparison search functions and the agent functions. In other words, an integrated database system using a bidder-oriented agent for providing information is built so that the users can search and compare the information on the item they are interested in and make a faster and more accurate purchase. Also the appropriate starting and closing prices are offered to the sellers and bidders through the integrated system for a closer and more accurate comparison and analysis of the prices. For future work, the product recommendation service, which accurately reflects the bidding patterns, and the methods for studying the multi bidding pattern will be applied to the suggested system to realize a real time auction information system that supports CRM(Customer Relationship Management) .

Music Recommendation Technique Using Metadata (메타데이터를 이용한 음악 추천 기법)

  • Recently, the amount of music that can be heard is increasing exponentially due to the growth of the digital music market. Because of this, online music service users have had difficulty choosing their favorite music and have wasted a lot of time. In this paper, we propose a recommendation technique to minimize the difficulty of selection and to reduce wasted time. The proposed technique uses an item - based collaborative filtering algorithm that can recommend items without using personal information. For more accurate recommendation, the user's preference is predicted by using the metadata of the music source and the top-N music with high preference is finally recommended. Experimental results show that the proposed method improves the performance of the proposed method better than it does when the metadata is not used.

  • The evolution of the Web from Web 1.0 to Web 2.0 has brought up new platforms as SNSs(Social Network Service) that are used by users to articulate and manage their relationships. SNSs are an online phenomenon which has become extremely popular. A SNS essentially consists of a representation of each user, his/her social links, and a variety of additional services. SNSs are increasingly attracting the attention of academic and industry researchers. What makes SNS unique is that they have a relationship with friends. The friend recommendation is one important feature of social networking services. People tend to trust the opinions of friends they know rather than the opinions of strangers. In this paper, we propose an efficient data processing method for social data. We study previous researches about social score in social network service. Our ESS(Efficient Social Score) is computed by both friendship weight and score of a document that was tagged by a user's friends. Our experimental results also confirm that our method has good performance.

Examining Factors Affecting the Binge-Watching Behaviors of OTT Services (OTT(Over-the-Top) 서비스의 몰아보기 시청행위 영향 요인 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the factors affecting the binge-watching behaviors of OTT service users by using a multi-layer perceptron (MLP) artificial neural network. All samples (n=1,000) were collected from 'A survey on user awareness in OTT service' published by a Media Research Center of the Korea Press Foundation in 2018. Our research model includes one dependent variable which is binge-watching behaviors on OTT service and five independent variables such as gender, age, frequency of service usage, users' satisfaction with content recommendation algorithm, and content types mainly consumed. Our findings demonstrate that age, frequency of service usage, users' satisfaction with content recommendation algorithms, and certain types of contents (e.g., Korean dramas, Korean films, and foreign dramas) were found to be highly related to binge-watching behavior on OTT services.

  • Online recruitment services have emerged as one of the most popular Internet services, providing job seekers with a comprehensive list of jobs and a search engine. But many recruitment services suffer from shortcomings due to their reliance on traditional client-pull information access model, in manay cases resulting in unfocused search results. Worldjob+, being operated by The Human Resources Development Service of Korea, addresses these problems and uses Splunk, a platform for analyzing machine data, to provide a more proactive and personalised services. It focuses on enhancing the existing system in two different ways: (a) using personalised automated matching techniques to proactively recommend most preferrable profile or specification information for each job opening announcement or recruiting company, (b) and to recommend most preferrable or desirable job opening announcement for each job-seeker. This approach is a feature-free recommendation technique that recommends information items to a given user based on what similar users have previously liked. A brief discussion about the potential benefit is also provided as a conclusion.

  • Location information service using big data is continuously developing. In terms of navigation, the range of services from map API service to ship navigation information has been expanded, and system application information has been extended to SNS and blog search records for each location. Recently, it is being used as a new industry such as location-based search and advertisement, driverless cars, Internet of Things (IoT) and online to offline (O2O) services. In this study, we propose an information system that enables users to receive information about nearby stores more effectively by using big data when a user moves a specific route. In addition, we have designed this system so that local stores can use this system to effectively promote it at low cost. In particular, we analyzed web-based information in real time to improve the accuracy of information provided to users by complementing the data. Through this system, system users will be able to utilize the information more effectively. Also, from a system perspective, it can be used to create new services by integrating with various web services.

  • While the diversity of consumer choices due to the increased information in the digital age is positive, there are also many problems with the information overload. There are even situations in which consumers can not make the best choices under the weight of information. The purpose of this study is to look at how information overload plays a role in influencing online consumer behavior. With factors related to characteristics of the shopping mall, the recognition of the mall, the quality of the mall, the composition of the shopping mall, and the purchase recommendation service were set to analyze how these variables change the behavior of online consumers when information overload appears. According to the analysis results, all of characteristic factors of shopping malls set up in this paper are analyzed to have a constant effect on the behavior of online consumers, and information overload also has a constant medium effect on the recognition of shopping malls, the quality and the structure of shopping malls, and the provision of purchase recommendation services. And characteristic factors of shopping malls are also showing positive effects on online consumer behavior in information overload situations.

  • This research classified the customer service factor of on-line shopping mall into tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, and empathy and analyzed the effect that the factors affect to consumer's purchase and re-purchase. If we present suggestions on the basis of these results of study, we would provide next two points: First, purchasers have utilized online shopping mall who pursued free from hard sell that being done in off-line and convenience of purchase affected more by reliability and responsiveness such as the fame of shopping mall that visit, reliability of security, and quick product search than the Customer of After-purchase Feedback influence for online purchasers decision factor out of consumer's purchase and re-purchase by on-line shopping mall customer service factor. Second, This study analyzed that online re-purchaser recognized the Customer of After-purchase Feedback factor high and built their loyalty through friendly emotion of on-line shopping mall and satisfaction of shopping mall service, and recommendation. In addition, they behave themselves as an affirmative messenger that is role of the Customer of After-purchase Feedback that make active opinion presentation and participation through community by important adjustment impact that empathy factor of on-line shopping mall customer service.

  • Current video service market doesn't satisfy the users' needs who want to find new and interesting contents despite the vast amount of contents. Now it is continuously necessary to Study on technology and using experience is continuously required in online video service area to stimulate the watching motivation efficiently with such as recommendation or promotion. One of efficient ways of increasing the using motivation is to give the users pleasure when they use the services. This study focused on 'unexpected funny finding' as a strategy of providing pleasure of using. It was believed that it could increase the pleasure of using the service, if serendipity, which means unexpected pleasure, accidental finding such as finding a beautiful $caf{\acute{e}}$ or meeting a friend at a certain place unexpectedly, is applied. This study defines the serendipity as 'contents that give unexpected pleasure' at the online video environment. First it theoretically extracted the various characteristics of serendipity through reading many books. Next it verified the other concept of serendipity through the diary of users' survey to additionally extract the characteristics of serendipity at video environment that are hard to find in books. It formed estimation items for the characteristics of the extracted serendipity and tested them in youtube to confirm the characteristics of serendipity being found in video service and observe potential factors that make it. As a result if verified and confirmed four factors that cause serendipity at video environment. This study could be used as basic data to understand the concept of serendipity. It has an academic meaning in the point that it could be a useful reference for the future study that analyzes the role or effect of serendipity at IT area including online video service.

Internet Utilization of Purchasing Management in Food Service Industry -Based on the buyers' perceptions- (단체급식업체 구매관리의 인터넷 활용에 관한 연구 -구매업무 담당자의 인지도를 중심으로-)

  • The purposes of this research were to; (a) identify useful information source; (b) assess the usefulness of the Internet as an information source; and (c) assess the degree of Internet utilization for purchasing process in food service industry. The results were as follows; 1. 'personal experience and colleague recommendation' was perceived as the most useful information source, whereas the most frequently used source was 'Internet web site' for real purchasing practice. 2. the most frequently used purchasing activity through Internet was 'online ordering', followed by 'gathering product/component information', however e-marketplace or Internet bidding were less performed by Internet. 3. acquisition of real time information, rapidity, accuracy, and increasing effectiveness of purchasing process were reported the advantages of Internet utilization. 4. respondents somewhat or strongly agreed with the importance of Internet in terms of present and future purchasing management. The results of the research suggest that Internet should be able to improve purchasing process and enhance buyer-supplier relationship directly or indirectly, therefore food service industry should consider making attempt to new purchasing systems through Internet for strategic sourcing and effective procurement management.
