Road surface monitoring is essential for maintaining road environment safety through managing risk factors like rutting and crack detection. Using autonomous driving-based UGVs with high-performance 2D laser sensors enables more precise measurements. However, the increased energy consumption of these sensors is limited by constrained battery capacity. In this paper, we propose a fusion sensor system for efficient surface monitoring with UGVs. The proposed system combines color information from cameras and depth information from line laser sensors to accurately detect surface displacement. Furthermore, a dynamic sampling algorithm is applied to control the scanning frequency of line laser sensors based on the detection status of monitoring targets using camera sensors, reducing unnecessary energy consumption. A power consumption model of the fusion sensor system analyzes its energy efficiency considering various crack distributions and sensor characteristics in different mission environments. Performance analysis demonstrates that setting the power consumption of the line laser sensor to twice that of the saving state when in the active state increases power consumption efficiency by 13.3% compared to fixed sampling under the condition of λ=10, µ=10.
This experiment was carried out to study the cause of degeneration and rot of cultivated mushroom. Among 597 bacterial isolates derived from the rots of Button mushroom (Agaricus bisporus), Oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) and Oak mushroom (Lentinus edodes) collected from markets of 5 cities (Seoul, Suwon, Taegu, Pohang and Pusan) in Korea (1991~1993), 111 bacterial isolates (18.5%) were proved as pathogenic bacteria. These pathogenic bacteria causing bacterial rots of cultivated mushrooms were identified as Pseudomonas tolasii, P. agarici, and Eriwinia sp., and the main causal bacteria were P. tolaasii. P. fluorescens and Klebsiella plenticola were confirmed as saprophytic non-pathogenic bacteria. One hundred fifty nine isolates (Group No. 39) of the 486 saprophytic bacterial isolates were classified as P. fluorescens, and this species was most often found rot area of cultivated mushrooms. P. tolaasii, the causal organism of bacterial blotch, was classified into two groups; One group can be differentiated from the other by the formation of white precipitation band by white line reacting organisms of Pseudomonas Agar F media. P. tolaasii attacked the cultivated mushrooms relatively well at lower incubation temperature such as 5$^{\circ}C$, but P. agarici rarely attack at below 1$0^{\circ}C$. The temperature for the infection commercial cultivated mushrooms by P. agarici was higher than that of P. tolaasii. Optimum temperature for the infection of mushrooms by P. tolaasii and P. agarici were 2$0^{\circ}C$ and $25^{\circ}C$, respectively.
This study describes conditions for the mass production of mutant hairy root lines by co-cultivation with A. rhizogenes harboring the activation tagging vector pHC7. Various sources of explants were subjected to genetic transformation with A. rhizogenes to determine optimum conditions and cultivar for the highest frequency of hairy root formation on explants. Hairy root formation also were investigated in transformed hairy roots grown in various culture media. Finally, a total of approximately 2,500 lines of hairy root mutants were produced in this study. A managing system for metabolomics in hairy root lines also were established. These hairy root lines will be useful to determine functions of genes relating biosynthesis pathway of secondary metabolites.
As the industry develops, they are interested in the fault of electric machines and the effect on human beings by electromagnetic fields and waves which generate through much use of electric machines and appliances. In foreign country, they confirmed the standard about electromagnetic interference and compatibility(EMI/EMC) of electromagnetic fields and waves generating electricity transmission/distribution equipments and electric appliance. In Korea, such criteria are applied too. Before EMI/EMC standard is applied, it is important to prepare the plan to predict and reduce electromagnetic fields and waves which generate in the inner and the outer part of electric machinery. To solve such a problem, they calculated Maxwell's equations by finite element method(FEM) and finite difference method(FDM) in most papers. However, these methods have the disadvantage that mathematical expansions are complex and need much memory allocations for grid and mesh generations. In this paper, we introduce transmission line matrix(TLM) method that media of which trains consists are regarded as transmission lines for electromagnetic field calculation in Korean High Speed Train, calculate the electric and magnetic field, and analyze the results.
A murine leukemia x LM fibroblast hybrid cell line with immune augmenting properties stimulated resistance to Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) in mouse peritoneal macrophages, and in immune deficient beige mice (C57BL/6/bgj/bgj). The proliferation of MAC in mouse peritoneal macrophages was inhibited by medium conditioned by the growth of the hybrid cells (hybrid cell-CM). Under similar circumstances, media conditioned by the growth of LM cells (LM cell-CM), a mouse fibroblast cell line used as one parent in forming the hybrid cell, was exhibited no inhibitory effect. Treatment of mouse peritoneal macrophages with hybrid cell-CM, but not with LM cell-CM, stimulated the expression of each of four previously described macrophage activation antigens, suggesting that the hybrid cells formed immunomodulators in addition to those formed by LM cells. Furthermore, the morphology of the macrophages following treatment with hybrid cell-CM was clearly distinguishable from that following exposure of the cells to LM cell-CM. The therapeutic effects of hybrid cells on the progression of MAC-infection were indicated by the prolonged survival of MAC-infected immune-deficient beige mice. One hundred percent of treated animals survived more than 60 days, while untreated animals died in approximately 22 days.

지금까지 영상 콘텐츠 제작 기술의 발전은 SD(Standard Definition)에서 시작하여 HD(High Definition)와 FHD(Full High Definition)를 거쳐, UHD(Ultra High Definition)에 이르기까지 화질을 중심으로 이루어져 왔다.

Content featuring next-generation weapons is continuously appearing in games and virtual reality. In the context of story development, the traces of a target's bullet marks are observed differently according to the unique characteristics of the rifle and bullet. Additionally, there is an example of using forensic ballistics to investigate crime by examining the traces of bullets. Understanding the relationship between the ballistic coefficient and cavity by ballistics is crucial during this process. This paper proposes a physics-based cavity simulation using the modified Bresenham's line algorithm, which can enhance realism in games and virtual reality. This simulation accurately models the trajectory of bullets and cavity formation upon impact, creating a more realistic representation of how bullets interact with materials. Overall, physics-based simulations can greatly enhance the realism and immersion of games and virtual reality experiences and can have applications in forensic investigations.

Background: This study was conducted to evaluate the usefulness of the BACTEC MGIT (Mycobacterium Growth Indicator Tube) 960 system for mycobacteria culture and immunochromatographic assay to identify Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) in positive MGIT culture. Methods: Mycobacteria-culture-positive cases were retrospectively analyzed from December 2010 to July 2011. The detection rates and the recovery times of the mycobacteria between the Ogawa media and the MGIT were compared. An immunochromatographic assay (ICA) (SD BIO-LINE) was also performed in the positive MGIT culture for identification, and the results were compared with those of the Ogawa media in the Korea National Tuberculosis Association. Results: Among the 261 patients (M:F, 168:93; mean age, $61.6{\pm}17.16$ yrs), 450 specimens (sputa, 365; bronchial washing, 61; and pleural effusion, 24) were found positive with mycobacteria. Mycobacteria were grown both on the MGIT and Ogawa media in 310 cases (68.9%); only on the MGIT in 115 cases (22.6%); and only on the Ogawa media in 25 cases (5.5%) (p<0.05). The recovery time was $28.2{\pm}8.9$ days in the Ogawa media and $11.1{\pm}5.8$ days in the MGIT (p<0.05). Among the 127 cases from the positive MGIT culture, all 92 cases that were confirmed as MTB cases bythe Korea National Tuberculosis Association were identified as MTB by ICA, with 100% sensitivity. Conclusion: MGIT increases the detection rate and shortens the recovery time of mycobacteria in clinical respiratory specimens, and the TB Ag MPT64 kit using ICA is useful in identifying MTB in a positive MGIT culture.
I made an analysis on the case of Kakao Talk, which is Korean top mobile instant messaging service, to find the growth potential of Korean Social Network Service in the global market. First, I found that unlike the PC messenger services, Kakao Talk is not only unlimited in mobile IM service provider but also has evolving into a social network service firm. Second, attempts with a variety of social services such as photo-based Kakao Story and Marketing Platform for Mobile Game, Kakao Talk successfully landed as a SNS company. Third, with 'Plus Friends' Service, soon-to-be launched Avatar and App Market Service, Kakao Talk is evolving into social media and social platforms. The big success of Kakao Talk in Korean market is expanding and reproducing into Japanese and Southeast Asian markets through the 'Line' serviced by NHN. Line is applying the proven success stories of Kakao Talk to the Japanese and Southeast Asian markets. It means that Kakao and Line, both are mobile IM services, have raised the possibility of success in the global SNS market although online web-based SNS Cyworld has failed in the global market.

A power line in not so good in characteristics for communication, because it is a media to transfer the commercial electrical power, and its load noise and high frequency noise are so much. Thus, a simple method to transfer a remote control signal on the power line is studied. The already-existing method is that two signals with upper part eliminated is transmitted every N step. But the method is investigated which the transmitter sends a period signal eliminated in arbitrary phase. Thus the transmission power loss due to elimination of signal can be reduced to the minimum. To implement it, a timer calculating the time from zero-crossing point to the phase is required. The micro-controller, 87C51, precisely calculates the phase using one of two built-in timers. As a result, a remote control signal tramsmitter and receiver using a partially eliminated signal, which is better than the conventional technique using half-eliminated signal in a efficiency of power transmission, is realized, and its characteristics are analyzed.
