  • This paper addresses an intelligent robot control system using an off-line programming to teach a precise assembly task of electronic components in a flexible way. The investigated task consists of three job: heat caulking test, soldering on a circuit board, and checking of soldering defects on the back cover of a camera. This study investigates the remodelling of the most complicated cell in terms of the accuracy and fault rate among the twelve cells in a camera back-cover assembly line. We have attempted to enhance back-cover assembly line. We have attempted to enhance soldering quality, to add task flexibility, to reduce failure rate, and to increase product reliability. This study modifies the cell structure, and improves the soldering condition. The developed all system implements the real-time control of assembly with vision data, and realized an easier task teaching on off-line programming.

  • In this paper, we proposed the automatic postal drop-off system based on the microprocessor board or PC. The weight of the small postal package is transmitted from the electronic scale and user-entered addresses and delivery rate are processed by the controller to calculate the fee. For 24 hour out-door operation and maintenance, non-cash payment methods such as credit card payment is used. The post stamp and receipt are printed by the thermal printer. For the electronic processing of the parcel, serial code is also printed on the stamp and receipts in bar code format. The parcel information obtained by the automatic postal drop-off system is transferred to remote central system by dial-up modem shared by the on site office. The proposed system and its control software are built for prototype model operation and the result met the design requirements. For real time processing, data reception through three serial ports is handled by interrupt routine. The proposed system is expected to be applied for commercial logistics system and pc automation system.

  • Almost the on-off type solenoid valve is used to hydraulic system. It has a strong point that concerned about rapid response, electric and hydraulic characteristic at the same time. In this paper we produced the new type spool using the MR fluid different from the others. Also we controlled a cylinder position through PWM method. And using the AMESim software, We compared our new type spool valve with existed one from data of simulation and experiment.

  • This paper proposes a method for improving efficiency of high-voltage motors off-line insulation diagnostic test. The conventional manual test method has measurement errors and excessive processing time. We developed the KITAS system and solved these problems by using the instrument remote control and communication technology. The result of proficiency testing by interlaboratory comparisons using Power Factor Tip-Up test was '${\mid}E_n{\mid}$ < 1'. It was possible to confirm the validity of acquired data from the KITAS and establish a remote diagnostic system for easy access without physical limitations.

  • As international market pressures increase, product life cycles are becoming shorter at same time requirements for productivity and flexibility are becoming higher. Major improvement in robot programming user interface is central to increasing productivity and flexibility for automatic manufacturing environments. New computer technologies have the potential to accomplish this improvement. In this study we have developed a system which proves that interactive computer graphics and geometric modeling have matured to the point where their artful application into an integrated system can rsult in radically new and powerful user interface for robot programming. With the graphic user interface environment the system efficiently utilizes the existing CAD data and gemetric modeling techniques for off-line programming and simulations. Also the system successfully generates robot control programs performing the desired tasks given through off-line programming.

전력용 트랜지스터의 직렬연결시 스윗칭 특성 (The Switching Characteristics of Series-Connected Power Transistors)

  • The series connection of power switching semiconductor elements is essential when a high voltage converter is made, so researches are being conducted to further develop this technology. In the series connection of power switching semiconductor elements, the main problem is that simultaneous conduction at turn-on and simultaneous blocking at turn-off together with voltage balancing are unattainable because of the difference of their switching characteristics. In this paper a novel series connection algorithm is proposed, which can implement not only the synchronization of the points of turn-on and turn-off time but the dynamic voltage balancing in spite of the difference of each switching characteristics. The proposed method is that the compensated control signal is attained from the voltage feedback signal and applied to the series-connected power transistors independently. Computer simulation and experimental results verify its validity.

스위치드 릴럭턴스 발전기의 스위칭에 따른 특성 (Characteristics Analysis According to Switching of Switched Reluctance Generator)

  • A switched reluctance generator(SRG) has simple magnetic structure, and needs simple power electronic driving circuit. But, a SRG are no windings or permanent magnets on the rotor, and there are concentrated windings placed around each salient pole on the stator. Because of the characteristics of time-sharing excitation, the control of SRG is very flexible. And there are several parameters for controlling SRG, such as switch turn-on angle, switch turn-off angle, and exciting voltage and controlling mode, all these will affect the generation greatly. A SRG has positive torque at increasing inductance region and negative torque at decreasing inductance region. In this paper, we studied characteristics about the switch turn-on and off angles according to switch method for constant output voltage of the fixed speed SRG. It is the acoustic noise and torque ripple characteristics. Characteristics for a switch angle and method are presented by experiment using a 50W SRG with 12/8 poles.

  • The new field of learning control develops controllers that learn to improve their performance at executing a given task, based on experience performin this specific task. In a previous work[6], the authors presented a theory of indirect learning control based on use of indirect adaptive control concepts employing simultaneous identification ad control. This paper develops improved indirect learning control algorithms, and studies the use of such controllers in decentralized systems. The original motivation of the learning control field was learning in robots doing repetitive tasks such as on an assembly line. This paper starts with decentralized discrete time systems, and progresses to the robot application, modeling the robot as a time varying linear system in the neighborhood of the nominal trajectory, and using the usual robot controllers that are decentralized, treating each link as if it is independent of any coupling with other links. The basic result of the paper is to show that stability of the indirect learning controllers for all subsystems when the coupling between subsystems is turned off, assures convergence to zero tracking error of the decentralized indirect learning control of the coupled system, provided that the sample time in the digital learning controller is sufficiently short.

코이어 배지 수경재배에서 관수효율 향상을 위한 급액 제어 (Irrigation Control for Improving Irrigation Efficiency in Coir Substrate Hydroponic System)

  • 본 연구는 환경오염과 양수분 손실을 주는 비순환식 수경재배에 FDR센서를 이용한 자동관수시스템을 적용할 때 관수효율을 높이기 위한 최적의 최소대기시간을 설정하고자 수행되었다. 실험은 가을과 겨울철에 봄과 여름철에 두 번 수행하였고 가을과 겨울철에는 3분 급액과 최소대기시간을 5분으로 한 3R5F 처리구, 3분 급액과 최소대기시간을 10분으로 한 3R10F 처리구, 5분 급액과 최소대기시간을 15분으로 한 5R15F 처리구를 설정하여 실험하였고 봄과 여름철에는 3분 급액과 최소대기시간을 5분으로 한 3R5F 처리구, 3분 급액과 최소 대기시간을 10분으로 한 3R10F 처리구를 설정하여 실험하였다. 3분 급액은 주당 60mL, 5분 급액은 주당 80mL가 공급되었다. 가을과 겨울철 재배에서 정식 후 62일 까지 주당 급액량은 3R5F (858mL) > 5R15F (409mL) > 3R10F (306mL) 처리 순으로 나타났고 배액률은 3R5F (44%) > 5R15F (23%) > 3R10F (14%) 순으로 나타났다. 정식 후 62일부터 102일 까지는 일일 주당 급액량이 5R15F (888mL)> 3R5F (695mL)> 3R10F (524mL) 순으로 나타났고 이 시기에 배액률은 5R15F에서 가장 높았다. 봄과 여름재배에서는 일일 주당 급액량과 배액율이 3R5F 처리구에서 3R10F 처리구보다 높았다. 두 재배 모두에서 수분이용효율 (WUE)은 3R10F 처리에서 높았다. 따라서 FDR 센서를 활용한 자동화 관수 시스템에서 관수효율을 높이기 위한 최소대기시간은 10분으로 고찰된다.

연소기 산화제 개폐밸브 개방 특성 (Opening Characteristics of a Main Oxidizer Shut-off Valve)

  • 액체로켓엔진용 연소기 산화제 개폐밸브로 사용되는 밸브 개방 자체유지가능형 포핏밸브의 밸브 개방 특성을 파악하기 위해 밸브 개방 과정에서의 과도 응답 특성에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 수치해석을 위해 구동가스 공급시스템을 하나의 오리피스로 모델링하고 밸브 행정 위치 및 구동압력 조건에 따라 밸브 무빙파트의 운동방정식을 유도하였다. 상온 및 연소시험에서의 밸브 작동 시험결과와 계산 결과의 비교를 통해 계산 결과의 신뢰성을 검증하였으며, 본 연구의 실제적인 적용 예로써 높은 구동압력에서의 밸브 개방 속도 조절을 위한 오리피스 적용 사례를 소개하였다.
